I love this place, the workers are very sweet and helpful. Hyde is an amazing nail tech, highly recommend booking with him.

Hi, The owner of Acute Nails.

Sadly this salon gets Zero star's from me. PT nails are obsolete. GPS will direct you to Acute Nails. The new owners (husband & wife partnership) continue to gain new clients through reviews for PT nails. In town for a few days celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and wanted to treat him to relaxing afternoon with a manicure & pedicure. Read a few reviews on salons nearby and the reviews to PT nails were very good. Upon arrival, we noticed the name had changed. We walked in and I asked the man at station 1 if this was PT Nails. His reply was unclear and he seemed a bit irritated that I asked. Came in with the intention to both get a mani/pedi, but after the not-so-good service I received by a man name "Hi", I opted out of the manicure. I was shocked to find out that "Hi" is one of the owners! His body language and personality was off-putting. It's obvious he does not want to be there. It appeared he attempted to correct his attitude when I told him partially jokingly that Ri, the girl working on my boyfriend, would receive his tip. I then asked if he was the owner and he jokingly replied, "I only work on feet all day." Before I settled our bill, the owner recommended an Asian restaurant which I'm sure it was his, since the salon was advertising a restaurant on one of three television. Unbelievable! On a better note, if you decide to visit Acute Nails in Pinetop ask for Ri or Ally. They were personable and have great energy. Thank you for taking very good care of my boyfriend on his bday, Ri. This rating is solely for the owner of Acute Nails. Unfortunately, I couldn't post this review without leaving a star. I did something I have never done before, I didn't tip Hi...Instead his tip went to Ri. ‍ Wishing the staff many blessings in 2024!

Liquid gel nails done by Sam! Best on the mountain!!

Sam was amazing and delivered an amazing service and experience. Will be going back 10/10 recommend!!

    Full set, with regular polish

I think nail salon was okay, but I didn't have the best experience. First of all I came at 9:30 when they opened, I noticed there was still tools in the sterilization liquid which is kind of weird. I came in and picked my color and got sat down. The lady did not push back my cuticles or clip them or anything which was kind of irritating. She just started buffing and all that. She applied the tips getting a good amount of glue on my finger tips the rest of the process was okay but she made one of my nails super wonky. It was just not a great experience and the lady wasn't very friendly. Wouldn't recommend ‍

They did a great job and were all very sweet! I even asked for a wrench and screwdriver and she was able to do it. LOVE!

Highly recommend! They did a great job and were extremely nice! She freehanded my special request of screwdriver and wrench!

I cannot believe there aren't more reviews about this nail salon. I have tried three in the area so far and this one is by far the best! I made an appointment for an acrylic fill and gel at 2:30, got there a little bit early and was able to get in right away, out by 3:15. There were quite a few customers there so I was happy with the immediate service I received as many places are overbooked and you have to wait quite some time. I absolutely love how my nails turned out and will definitely be going back!

Actually Nails by Tracy. They did a great job! Love my acrylics with flowers on them. Kinda hard to understand them at times. You will have to ask for a design if you want it and they don't ask if you want jewels so say no if they bring them out. Other than that I have no complaints.

First, I want to address the reviews below mine and say that you should read what they have to say…read moreand completely wipe it from your mind to save your IQ. If you're a business owner, popular amongst the community, and have to schedule hundreds of appointments weekly - you'd be on your phone as well. Also, why are you complaining that he's on the phone while YOUR NAILS are in the lamp? You want him to stare you in the eyes and tell you how much the lamp is awesome? You're just mad at the fact you can't be on your phone while your nails are being DONE. Second, the crew within Acute has always provided solid customer service. They'll accommodate to your every need so long as you're not a rude ass customer... which apparently some of you are. I'm sorry, did that hurt your feelings? Want me to go Walmart and buy you a box of straws so you can suck it up? Then you have miss certified nail tech... okay so what the hell are you doing in a nail shop if you're certified? Doesn't that mean you have tons of friends who also got certified and would love to do your nails for free? What a bullshit review. Anyways, enough of those idiots. Point is - challenge them with a design, ask them for advice in regards to your nails, ensure you respect them, and make sure you know what you want so you can schedule an appointment in advance. They won't fail you unless you're a rude ass customer. But in that case, that means you deserved it because you suck at life.

First time customer. Will not return. I won't even get them removed from this place. I got my nails…read moredone YESTERDAY. Woke up this morning and my pinky nail is missing? Never had that happen before. Honestly this is the WORST establishment I've ever been to. The guy doing my nails kept getting up and walking away? Pretty annoying. And he was so rude. I kept my hands on the table, only got on my phone when he walked away, because what else am I supposed to do, it was like 6 times. But he wasn't friendly, my first red flag should've been when I walked in for the appointment and he asked if I wanted a fill or full set and as I was talking he walked away saying "I'll look at it when you sit down". Then don't ask a question if you're not anticipating an answer? I should've turned around right there. Then sitting down as he's cutting my nails off I said "I figured it would be a full set because they're pulling up underneath" and he said "I could've filled them but you want a full set" 1, I prefer a full it's faster 2, he started cutting the nails off before looking at them. Also, I'm not sure what was wrong with him, but he kept forgetting what he was doing IN THE MIDDLE OF WORKING ON ONE HAND, he would move to next steps leaving one or two nails not files or buffed. He left 4 fingers unworked before I said "you forgot this hand" When he was applying the pink power, it's not all the way to the nail bed, I had to ask him to add it to the full nail. And he was rude about it. I didn't check his work after he added it because he was so so soo rude with his comments. Even after I got home, it's the thinnest layer of acrylic. You can see the natural nail still. The remaining fingers, he made sure to add acrylic to the first knuckle of every finger. I'm not even exaggerating. He was peeling acrylic off my fingers, my skin, and his hands and gloves because he used WAY TOO MUCH. As he applied the powder to my nail, he dropped a glob of acrylic on my nails, so much so that it dried as it was falling off the nail. When he didn't catch it with his paint brush and plop it back on top of the nail then smear it around. New experience for me. But there is SO MUCH dried acrylic underneath my nails, it's disgusting. I even asked him to clean it and he said he did. But again, he was the rudest person I've ever had "help me" with something. Wasn't worth the fight at the time, looking back, I should've. It was the strangest thing I've ever experienced in my life. He also couldn't keep his eyes open and he had to keep blowing his nose. I honestly think he was on something other than oxygen but I'm not a doctor. I will not be returning. Save yourself the headache and go to the other nail place in the same parking lot. They're better at their job.

His daughter took my $400 Tiffany's ring off the nail tech's desk when I went to go wash my hands. I came back and stated my ring was missing. I looked through my purse and the floor area. Ally came back and said it was in her pocket and I recovered it. I told the owner that his daughter owed me an apology and he said no- that he would "talk to her". I've been in education long enough which means that he will not be holding her accountable. I'd like to see this little girl's ring collection! It started off as a great experience that went south. The OWNER also treats his employees disrespectfully. Ally remind d him she had another appointment at 3. He told her she would have to do my mani first. So it became rushed (while my ring was almost stolen). And the next client was delayed by 30 minutes, which was not Ally's fault. DON'T GO HERE!!!

He stared at my feet, which are perfectly clean and only lightly calloused, and refused to change the blue plastic liner. He was trying to get me to put my feet in there and was amused . The health department should go in and inspect them. There was an older woman and man sitting doing a manicure and they sided with him. I felt like I was a lowlife and they were all kicking me out.
