Food was easy to order and they came pretty quick. The Shepard's Pie was creamy and fairly filling for 1 person, piping hot. The soup was perfect and not overly seasoned. Both were perfect for the night. Service was decent as this bar was filling up fast. Noise level was high but manageable. Cost was average for around $15 per item. I had an excellent delivery order of fish & chips and a salad from this Irish Pub. The Irish Ale Battered Fish & Chips came with three nice sized pieces of cod...delicious, fresh tasting and a generous portion, with a nice puffy beer-batter, juicy wedge of lemon and tartar sauce on the side. The fries were a straight cut. I would have preferred them a little crispier, but delivered fries usually steam and soften in the container during transit. The House Salad was excellent...very fresh and crisp with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette on the side. In all, a very fine meal! Delivery was prompt and packing was well done. Walking around midtown all morning, we were looking for a place for lunch, and we found this place and stumbled in. Located roughly halfway between Times Square and Central Park, it's in a good spot for tourists like us. Even at noon on a Wednesday, there were plenty of people at the bar, so I can imagine how rowdy and fun it gets on a weekend. It was pretty quiet in the dining area, just a few other patrons. My girlfriend and I both ordered the house brew which was an amber ale. We're both big beer nerds and thought it was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the specialty burger and I ordered the turkey burger. Both were huge, stuffed with toppings, perfectly cooked, and came with more than enough fries. We both left in a food coma, highly satisfied. We would definitely come back the next time we're in the city and would recommend to others looking for a laid back place with friendly faces and quality comfort food. read more

The buffalo chicken wings were so good! I'm pretty picky when it comes to chicken -- I like it cooked just right and not greasy -- and they nailed it. The windows are non-transparent and you can step right out of the hustle and bustle of Midtown, as if transported to a quieter, happier place. The menu covers a lot of familiar pub terrain, extending to shepherd's pie, fish and chips, burgers, and a number of salads. Feeling peckish, I ordered the reuben sandwich ($21), served with fries, and a pint of the house ale ($8). These prices are about right for this kind of establishment in Midtown, and luckily the food was tasty and the beer nice and cold. My companions also enjoyed their food and drink. The music selection covered a good amount of pop territory, a little something for everyone. Service was attentive and we got what we wanted.
