Dr Burau was a great guy and extremely professional. The Dental Assistant Brandi was terrific and put me at ease for the procedure and explained everything before and after the root canal. The procedure itself was pain free and this was due to the technique used by Dr Burau to numb the tooth and how skilled he was in doing the root canal. They had virtual reality goggles and I was able to watch a movie, which made the time fly by and took my mind off having a root canal. Huge thanks to Dr Burau and his entire office staff!

PDA sent me to the Wilkesboro PDA office for a second opinion; I went as I wanted to make sure i was getting the right treatment and a second opinion made sense. I arrived about 20 minutes early to my appointment and let them know im im early and they said to wait in waiting room and ill be called at my appointment time. Appointment time came i physically watched people come in and get taken back for appointments AFTER MINE. One guy was called back named Todd we even asked "Which one" ugh it was the other one! i waited approx 20 minutes after my appointment time (total of about 40 - 45 minutes total, yes early was my part) but not being notified or updated and left alone to my own devices and feeling ignored by healthcare.....YET AGAIN....triggered my PTSD so I left and told them ill reschedule when they actually had availability. I left and called the troutman office and scheduling and told them what happened and said NEVER EVER send me to that office again and let me know next steps. NOTHING....RADIO SILENCE.....called VA they calle dthe troutman office who spoke to the office manager who sai dit was all my fault and had the audacity to have the wilkesboro office call me.....HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!! I was out of town when I became aware of a tooth that felt "off", but would only be back in Mooresville a very short time before another trip. Office staff, always professional and kind, got me in for an appointment. Dr. Lembo identified the problem, then she and her staff figured out how to get it fixed that day. An hour later, I was back to see Dr. Montgomery who took care of it in under an hour, pain free and stress free. Excellent experience all around, and I'm a dental wimp, so that's saying something!

the combination of plague and unemployment beyond my control means my oral hygiene has not been up…read moreto par of late. the brushing and flossing and rinsing have continued apace but without regular professional cleanings or assessment of my efforts. not surprisingly I wound up with a bad tooth in desperate need of attention... scary bad... so bad that the x-ray showed the middle of a molar as a cloudy blob :-( also had a cracked tooth that wasn't doing me any favors but funny thing about that is while poking around in my mouth the hygienist pushed the tooth back together! heard and felt it snap back in place and the pain was about cut in half immediately. neat! still had a raging infection in my jaw but way less total mouth pain... Dr Montgomery seems a decent and concerned individual. she came in to assess my situation and explain what my dental problems were and then sent me home with referral slips and a prescription for antibiotics. my x-rays were forwarded to the other doctors along with the notes so all I had to do was make the appointments and take my meds. when I get the urgencies all taken care of I'll be back in for the more mundane treatments and evaluations and some more roller massage chair. when society collapses and the barbarians commence to pillaging I hope someone has the sense to preserve the tools of modern dentistry. yea for teeth doctors plying their trade without pliers!

If you need a crown, there are no goopy molds, the teeth are digitally scanned, and the crown is milled in the office and you're done in the same day. My wife has had significant issues with facial nerve pain and Dr. Davidson has been relentless in his pursuit to help her through the excruciating pain. Dr. D. emphasizes the connection of breathing, sleep, and posture to your overall health. Not only do we have better oral health we sleep better, have lost weight, and are generally more healthy thanks to going to Davidson & Burr.

So I switched to Dr. Tommy Wilson, who is in network for Cigna, and that's where things started to unravel. First of all, with their massive overhead, they started to upcharge me. I would go in for a cleaning and they would insist on an x-ray because how else are they going to pay for all their new equipment? And they would say the dentist wanted to see me during my cleaning exam and then charge me $150 for saying hi. And to top it off. Dr. Tommy Wilson is just a weirdo. He has no bedside manners and is just condescending. When I was asking the staff about switching doctors to him, they did not give him a ring endorsement, and that should have been my sign but I wanted to stay in the office that I've been going to for 20 years. Long story short, Dr. Wilson is a clown and the two other doctors are out of network and they started to upcharge me and couldn't estimate their cost correctly, or would tack on charges for the Dr. Just swinging by to say hi and enough is enough.

I applauded the doctor's efforts (really, I did) got cleaned up, got a goody bag with wound care instructions and a scrip, did the money-for-services exchange and went home to sleep this one off... got a call from Dr F in the evening to see how I was holding up. nice :-) especially thoughtful was his apology for disturbing my rest... who does that any more? the calling or concern? that's real class... and I was doing fine, hardly no pain at all for having a tooth extracted six hours earlier. now it's tomorrow and my face still doesn't hurt :-)
