The two bartenders who were there late on this Sunday afternoon were very friendly and very attentive towards their customers. Alley Cat had been recommended to me by someone when I asked what would be a good place to venture out to for my first public appearance as Donna. I'd said I wanted a place that wasn't really noisy where you could sit at the bar and talk with people. This place fits the bill for that perfectly. The drinks were reasonably priced compared to other places I've been to in Providence. The sombreros I had were excellent and brought back more memories of my youth. I liked everything about the atmosphere at Alley Cat and intend to make it a regular stop during the months to come. They play PiXXXtionary every Thursday night and it sounds like a lot of fun to play an adult version of this popular game. If you are looking for a nice comfortable place to have a few drinks I highly recommend Alley Cat.

They also have a great jukebox. Bartenders are friendly and quick. There's usually some kind of punch available with a name like Ecto-cooler which is a weird color but completely delicious if you're into that sort of thing. They sometimes have pop-ups there, one time they had fancy grilled cheese sandwiches. Definitely a fun spot! It's pretty small inside so just know that and don't roll in with a huge crew...

This dive bar with its brightly lit sign and vintage decorations stands out among its competition on Main Street in EG. The bartenders were super responsive even though it was a full bar. The only "off putting" thing that happened is we were charged a $5 fee per person for being there because there was a band that was coming on stage in the next half hour. We were already seated at the bar and were about halfway through our drinks. We hadn't planned on staying there but acquiesced the waitress by paying the cover charge.

The place still looks the same and has the same oddball regulars.. but I got to say the drinks are almost double what they used to be and the service ain't it. The younger bartenders are too inexperienced for a fast paced environment - takes forever to get a drink. Still some good people watching and music - but not worth any night they charge a cover

The Sponge Bob's Wet Dream was my favorite cocktail of the night, but they have plenty to choose from. I like that you can come to a distillery and have the option to get cocktails if you don't feel like beer. The mill type setting is creatively decorated and the owners take pride in everything that they do. Being a fundraiser, they were super busy, but had every angle covered to make it a success. This is a great place to come hang out with or without friends.

Okay, so you dont come here looking for a wide beer selection, good food or high class entertainment. This is the last stop on your way home or a bar to perch and play Keno. If you're in the Valley Falls area (why would you be?), and see a dim yellow light lit at what appears to be an old church on a shady street and an Open flag blowing in the breeze, stop in! They may not remember your name that night, but the regulars will love to share a drink with a newbie.

The Alex and Ani hustle here is real!…read more I did not know when I was trying to impress my husband with a gem of a dive bar that I would also be totally entertained. We sat down at the bar (which is a step up with chairs placed on the platform to reach the bar) next to a guy who was deeply inspecting something. Closer look and it was Alex and Ani bracelets individually wrapped in clear plastic wrap. Hey to each their own- no judgement on my part! Then the bartender gets in on the bracelet inspecting. They spend the next 45 minutes debating over bracelets and which ones se is going to buy off this guy out of a plastic bag on the bar. She finally let's me in on the 'secret'- they are prototypes so they can be sold real cheap. She bought about 5 off this guy! He was on cloud 9. I loved the whole interaction but not enough to buy those bootleg bracelets! This place is intriguing. A grill stored inside. A full fridge and the atm squished in a little cubby whole. The bar area is all see through glass where you have liquor stored next to dog bones! One leather recliner on their back patio. This place makes no sense but makes perfect sense to the dive bar unwritten/upspoken code of operation. I loved it. The bartender impressed me when I asked for a girly drink. She got excited that she could make me a drink with sherbet. Heck yes- I am in! She walked over to that full fridge and grabbed that sherbet, did her thing and left me a very tasty drink. Dive Bar win!

You walk in, you are instantly punched in the face by the sweet smell of marijuana (sarcasm here) but it punches you in the face like you just got in a street brawl. You mosey up to the bar and feel like you just entered a early 70's movie, I was waiting for Clint Eastwood to pop out of the shadows.. The bar had the standard "usuals" who had clearly been there since 11 AM and couldn't spell their name correctly if you gave them the letters. The bar seats are straight from the front of the salvation army, you know those chairs people dump in front of the store because they have no where else to leave them? Yeah, they got plenty of those. They have two hilarious TVS that had NCIS on one and Arnold Swatenegger on another.. The restroom, as gross as it gets. They have a pool table that probably belonged to fats domino back in the day. The decor? Hideous, although they do have a fridge in plain view (actual kitchen fridge just hangin out) There is a picture of a totally naked woman on the wall, she looks pretty hot, so that is a plus in the decor area. The juke box? Well, hit the spot! Hand written CDS dating back to the 80's.. How do you go wrong listening to Poison, Def Leppard, Scorpions and Guns N Roses? Hell, even a little Alice Cooper.. The drinks? Super cheap, bottled beer for 2.75 and shots are basically a 1.50.. So, if you are looking for a great dive bar, this is right up your alley.
