Giving a two star review due to potential miscommunication from both parties during this estate…read moresale. Communication was lacking throughout the process, which made an already stressful situation more difficult. My mother returned to the property with important items missing in order to properly prepare and sell the home. A full vanity mirror attached to the bathroom wall was sold while decorative towels and shower curtains intentionally left behind were not. Additionally, furniture was moved in a way that left noticeable gouges in the walls. We were told that many of the larger items did not sell the first day and that there would be price reduction listings on various platforms to try and sell these additional items. Through my limited personal search I only saw one item listed and much of the furniture went for free the following day. I did not expect to make money in this estate sale. I understand specific promises cannot be made in this line of business since there are so many outside factors involved. However, we came home to a few hundred dollar home depot trip to buy a new mirror and paint along with an additional invoice for services. When contacted, we did receive a minor credit. Melanie expressed that she did not know about the vanity mirror and seemed to be off-site during the actual sale. Overall, the disconnect with communication, lack of oversight, missing item, and damages done to the property made this a frustrating experience.

The sale seemed clean and organized. However, the man running the sale was patronizing and unkind…read moreto two young female shoppers. They were reviewing their purchases and he proceeded to apprise them of the policy in a condescending tone. They assured him they understood his policy, then shared a private comment between the two of them. (I didn't hear it and I was only feet away.) Rather than let it go, the employee berated them, telling them that they should say it to his face and calling them immature in a room full of people. I walked out immediately, empty handed. I shop a lot of estate sales - A LOT - and this isn't the way to attract or endear customers to you. You certainly lost a buyer today. When you drive up, you basically just drive to the very end of the road, and then into the parking lot/yard. There are huge piles of various items around, but on the left is the office and an unloading area. I had no idea what to do, so I just went into the office. I was told to move my van and then wait for an attendant. I did, and they eventually had me move again, then they unloaded my van, weighed the items, and gave me a paper to take to the office. I went to the office, and they gave me a check for my items. It was something like $11 for the metal, minus a $5 charge for the microwave. Honestly, I was just glad to get rid of the junk, I didn't care that I was getting paid for it. What I was most impressed by - every single person that I talked to or saw was so nice and friendly - even to each other. They were kind, thoughtful, hardworking... My sister and my 4 year old were with me, and they watched the big machinery while I was doing everything, and many people waved or stopped to say hi. I was so impressed. I actually left feeling really good. As an aside: they seem to get some cool stuff dumped there, so in the unloading area and in the office there is some neat stuff to see.
