This P.C. Richard & Son truly has it all. We came in for a quick browse to check out some appliances and TVs. The staff was really friendly. We were asked if we needed help several times from different employees. Everything seemed organized and clean with a huge amount of variety. I was especially impressed by the TV section. It's a great place to come to compare several different models. All of their pricing seems to be in line with other big box, stores, and websites like Amazon. Actually, buying here in person seems like a great idea. There's no need to order online when you can come experience everything in person and pay fair prices. Plus, you get the product immediately. P.C. Richard's also felt like a way better experience than Best Buy. Every time I go to Best Buy, I end up waiting for someone to help me for at least 15 minutes. This location was fully staffed, and you could have your pick of employees to help you find what you need. read more

We have bought several appliances from PC Richard (stove, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine) and never had a problem with installation until the dryer we recently ordered was delivered earlier this week. The installation crew was sub contracted out and not very experienced. They needed to disconnect the washing machine, which was installed by PC Richard about 2 years ago but failed to shut off the water valve first, and then told my husband that the tubing was old and leaking (which it was not). When they put the washing machine back in place, they couldn't get it back to its original position. When my husband inquired about making sure that a connector was installed on the back of the dryer (to ensure that there was no friction on the wires caused by a vibrating dryer) they had no idea what he was talking about. On top of that, they were not fluent in the English language. I contacted our salesman, who arranged for a team to return to the home, which they did the next morning and they were clearly PC Richard employees (arriving in a PC Richard truck, with PC Richard shirts). It took them less than 5 minutes to install the connector and move the washer back to the correct position. When purchasing appliances from PC Richard that need to be installed, do whatever you can to make sure that PC Richard employees, rather than subcontractors, deliver and install. This review would have been more stars, had it not been for the first installation crew. read more

They are horrible! Had an AC installed. The installer used foam. Not plexiglass to seal around the unit. And the caulk work is terrible! When confronted, Sal a store manager, said foam is all you need to seal a window unit properly. That was a lie. When I confronted him, he hung up the phone. Got very little support from GG at Corporate headquarters as well. Had to call back because she didn't send a confirmation email regarding a potential refund. And when I did, there was no record of the refunds at all. Also, Sheldon, the general manager at the Levittown store, did not apologize for any of it. Instead he suggested I made up the entire story. And when I told him about the caulk all over my window, he wanted me to pay for another installation crew to come back, saying they'd clean up the caulk, but if I wanted it sealed properly, I'd have to pay additional for the plexiglass service. He wouldn't even consider giving a courtesy considering all the problems his employees caused. Believe me, don't believe me, pictures are worth a thousand words. PC Richards in Levitown sold us a refrigerator that ended up being a lemon. They sent repairmen 10 times- and the ice maker is still broken. They assured us they would replace it- and the mgr at Levittown never ever returns our calls. This is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and don't shop here. No one ever gets back to us. Horrible customer service after all the money we have spent there for years. Update. Now That I am reading other reviews sounds like they are running a scam. Sheldon always says he will get us the replacement and then never calls back. How foolish are the retailers like P.C., which coincidentally continue to lose business and close stores. This location is walking distance from my home and I have bought countless appliances from them, including four, large air conditioners just five years ago. At that time, during a home remodel, I made sure to ask the salesperson (when they actually used to have intelligent and helpful sales people) to sell me a unit that would be a standard size to be installed in my wall so that in future it could be replaced easily. I spoke to a nice lady on the phone at PC Richard corporate who told me I should go into the store to discuss replacement for my air conditioning units. She told me that they charge to install, but only a salesman with specific details of the size could determine if they would need to charge me over $200 for this. This guy looked up my options and had nothing to say, similar to an auto mechanic who just looks at your car and says I can't fix it today. What a joke! As I said, the place is down the road from me and the air conditioner is going to cost me $600 to $800 already; you think I'm going to pay another $209 to have somebody spend just 15 minutes slipping it into the wall? I'll find a more intelligent appliance store thank you very much. read more

Mixed feelings. I went knowing what it was that I was looking for. I told the sales guy this and he wasn't pushy at all or trying to upsell. I got the fridge I went in to get, and the sales guy even got me a bonus mini fridge for free! 5 star in store experience Now here is the bad part. I paid around $150 for installation of the new fridge and removal of the old one. They use 3rd party companies to install like everyone else, but these guys come wearing PC Richard's uniforms and say they only do installs for them, even though they are technically independent. The guys that come to install my new fridge say they can't use my existing water line because it doesn't meet PC Richard's standards. They tell me I need to pay $250 if I want them to change my water line to the fridge (a 10-15 min job). The installers tell me that PC Richard's would charge me even more to put in a water line (probably not true as this is a $75 job by a local licensed plumber). They agree on $200 cash...the ONLY reason why I forked it over is because my old fridge is out the door already getting loaded on their truck, my new fridge is sitting in my kitchen, and all of my food is on the dining room table and counters. After the guys leave, I noticed the house smells like gas. Installers broke the gas line to the stove putting the waterline to the fridge. So now we have no heat or stove for 24 hours until they come back to replace that too. $450 for an install that took all of 15-20 min Usually I'd go straight to PC Richard's, but next time I might shop around. 5 stars for the store, 0 stars for the install/delivery read more

They have come to my house 23 times to try and fix my fridge and my stove. The repairman and I are on a first name basis. He comes to my home and announces that he cannot fix my brand new appliances and to take it up with pc Richard's. Pc Richard's tells me to take it up with the repair company. These are brand new appliances?????? After 7 hours on the phone today I am done. Been doing this for months now. Pc Richard's you beat me out of thousands of dollars. You give a really bad name to "family run" companies. My family will spend more thousands of dollars for a working fridge and stove elsewhere. You won. Keep our money. One time it's the nicest most helpful man at the service desk going out of his way the next it's a blonde older woman who writes a phone number to call....i already called the entire point of driving out of my way was specifically so the person at the service desk would help. This Levittown store has been my go to store since the 1970s. I've purchased many a high ticket item here. Last year I purchased another refrigerator. The delivery men were exceptionally rude. They wanted me to sign a form saying the appliance was in acceptable delivery condition. I couldn't tell it was covered in blue plastic. At that time I had no time to remove the plastic. When I did the unit had several dents. They offered me $150. I could handle the small dents but the two on the freezer door was horrible it's now a full year. I spoke with my salesman Ernie many times. I spoke with 2 managers. Joe first Brian second. They both lied to me Joe told me last August that I'd have a new freezer door delivered in 6 months. This was a lie. Last December I went back I spoke with Brian. He told me if he couldn't get it done by that evening he would exchange the unit. This too was a lie. I've called multiple times The girl who answers the phone is rude she puts me on hold and never returns I have bought multiple refrigerators stoves washer dryers dishwashers TVs printers and other items here. I highly recommend never shopping here again. I have referred many people here but I will be much more aggressive letting people know about how downhill this store has become. Where do I start. I first moved to Farmingdale 7 years ago and when we needed some appliances, we have always used PC Richards. The first time we went to Levittown we met Adrian. He is a friendly, charismatic and patient soul. He is not a typical used car sales men like the other brick and mortar types. He took the time to listen to our story for what we were there to buy and gave us many options. Always giving the bigger picture mentality. I am big fan of buy once, buy right but i am also a purchasing professional in my everyday life so i love to research and haggle. Adrian always gave us a fair deal. We have since bought major and counter top appliances, tv's, firesticks, apple products and even a small fortune in Yeti mugs. Adrian is not the only bright spot, The front end of the store and the stock crew have always been kind in helping finalize any transaction we have had. This includes the Warehouse in Farmingdale. Sorry for such a long review but i think it is worth it. I have been a long time customer and just spent money on stove ,dishwasher and refrigerator. The arrival of the refrigerator was yesterday . When I examined the refrigerator I noticed there were no protective coverings along the sides or the back . The sides came scuffed with a dent . I sent a request to customer service still waiting for a response. I felt the need to warn future buyers stay away . If you're coming here for a TV, a laptop, or a cell phone it's not worth the visit. If you're coming here for a stove, fridge, or other sort of appliance it's totally worth it. My oven decided to die recently, luckily it decided to shit the bed during Black Friday sales. I first scoped out prices online and PC Richard had the Samsung range I wanted for $400 off! I proudly walked into the store, found the stove I saw online, and got the attention of a sales associate. Mo, my sales associate, was super nice and helpful. He pulled up my account and worked with me to get financing and delivery. Luckily, I don't host Thanksgiving since my new range is not arriving until Friday. The trip was quick and painless and I'm happy with the price I paid after all was said and done. So why 3 stars? Well the lack of electronics. I've always come here for washers, driers, and now ovens but I'm always left somewhat disappointed by their lack of electronics. I also dislike that the sales associates will sometimes follow you around even after you make a purchase. This is still a great location to get your appliance fix, though. Whenever we're in the market for an appliance, computer, electronics, etc., my husband does ALOT of comparison shopping and research first. Believe me, in the end, we could probably write our own Consumer Reports on what we're looking for and we always find ourselves at P.C. Richard's anyway. Every manager or salesperson that we have dealt with here has always been extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. What I like the most is that we never felt like we were being pressured into purchasing something so they could just make a quick sale. I've dealt with salespeople like that in the past and would just walk out the door. They are the complete opposite here. We've purchased our computer, digital camera, Ac's and our newest addition, our HDTV all from this store. Our salesperson actually saved us almost $500 on the TV by suggesting we consider purchasing the floor model vs. one that was boxed and in the warehouse. Granted, the newer model was coming out the following month, but everything you purchase nowadays gets outdated pretty fast anyway. It was a no brainer on that one and the TV was in perfect condition. This store is always immaculate and fully stocked. Plenty of parking in the front and back as they're located right next door to the Tri County Flea Market. I also like the fact that they will match any competitor if they carry the same product at a lower price and will credit the difference of what you paid if P.C. Richard's drops their prices within the month of your purchase there. Just show them your receipt as this has happened to us once before and they did credit us. So, now we're in the market for a new barbecue and my husband has already begun to hit those books and collect those flyer's, but, I already know where we'll end up buying it from!! read more

I dealt with a salesman named George. He was pretending he was busy on the computer and didn't want to deal with a sale. I told him I had two wall air conditioners that needed to be replaced. The units I had were big old ones from the early 90's and they were overkill in my house. I picked out two units, purchased them. He told me to just check the size when I got home. I got home and measured, the new ones were two inches smaller (width) he said they can only close up one inch. He told me to call a handyman. I said Id rather just remove the old a/c's myself and I'd like to cancel the order. He hung up on me! I called back again and he said he didn't hang up on me. I said cancel my order. He again hung up on me. I called my credit card company to cancel the transaction. Reported this to their main office. They must hire people off craigslist. Unbelievable. I will never use PC Richard & Son, I bought the extended warranty in 2018.My dishwasher broke on 10/31/2021. I called Pc Richards on Nov.1st and the earliest they could come was today.Nov.11th. Now the tech from GE came and of course hs to order the part which won't be available until Nov. 29th after Thanksgiving. Funny how the push the extended warranty on you but then do not care to take care of it in a a timely manner, I have called The store directly and their customer service dept. Of course nobody can speed up the 2nd service call. GE is USELESS also. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM PC RICHARD AND SON AGAIN.I would give zero stars but it will not allow it. read more

i have a refrigerator still under warranty and it stopped being able to hold temperature. we had a repairman out who said he knew what the problem is and ordered the part. came back and fixed it (so we though) a week later. fast forward a week or two and exact same issue again. I've called several times being told i will get a call back to schedule a repair visit, no call! I've gone online to schedule my own repair appointment, thought it was scheduled for two days later just to have it changed to two weeks out. I have three children and haven't been able to buy groceries to keep cold in weeks and im absolutely sick of it. I'm trying to keep things cold in coolers to be able to feed my children. I will never buy from them again because no one honors their warranty and getting just halfway decent service is impossible with them. The second they find out you're calling about an issue they don't want to be bothered. do not spend your money here! especially on expensive appliance, go somewhere with better service and to someone who will give great service even when you have an issue and won't give you the run around while you basically throw money down the drain with food going bad constantly waiting for a repair that seems to never be coming! now on week 4 without a working refrigerator. read more

This is regarding the appliance service generated by PC Richard's Service plan. It Sucks. I have issues with my Samsung Refrigerator. it isn't keeping cold, my food is going bad. On Wednesday, I set up an appointment for the repairman to come today, Friday, to repair my fridge. Well, I called to get my time frame Friday morning and was told that the repair service was booked and couldn't get me in today. WTF!!!I took off from work and my food is spoiling. Next Tuesday they said...NO...I am not taking off work again to have them decide not to show. In the interim, who will pay for all of my groceries. I bought a refrigerator and also the 5 year extended protection plan for this appliance from pc Richards. One of the freezer draws cracked near the track, so the drawer does not open freely. I have a 5 year protection plan, easy fix, just need a draw replaced on my expensive refrigerator...I was told drawers are not covered and I'm on my own. Myself and my family have bought countless appliances and items from pc Richards over the years, most with extended service plans too.... not anymore. I placed an order on PC Richards' web site for a TV. I placed the order and paid for it without any issues. Due to the corona virus I chose to do curb side pick up which made sense. When I got to the store there was a sign asking to call and someone would help me. A salesmen named Mario answered and asked who my sales rep was, I told him I bought and paid on line. He was not able to find my order, to be fair I did not have an order number but with all the information I gave him, he should have been able to help me. After going back and forth with him and still unable to find it I gave up and left. When I got home I went on line to see if I made a mistake with ordering it but the order was placed and my credit card was charged. I called Amex and canceled the charge and will go to Best Buy for the same TV at the same price. Went into the P.C. Richards in Levittown. An Indian salesman approached my husband and I. We just needed vacuum bags. This guy was the poorest excuse for a salesman. He showed no interest whatsoever. He gave us a model #(which was the incorrect model # we later found out) and told us they didn't carry it there and we'd have it order it online. We found a vacuum bag there that my husband said would fit our vacuum cleaner. That somehow irritated our rude salesman. We purchased it and as we were walking out he was conversing with a co-worker about how we were going to be coming back to return the bags. He must have said it three or four times so we could hear it. WRONG....the bags fit. This incident happened about a couple of months ago so this is not that recent so I'm not sure this ignoramus is even employed there anymore. This man was obnoxious and totally unprofessional. Greeting us when we walked in and then talking about us on our way out. Class act....must have hired this guy right off the street. read more

I had a dryer delivered today, but it could not be installed due to a conflict with the outlet. I called the Levittown store to voice my displeasure, but was greeted by Mike (the store manager) and I could not be any happier. He was kind, courteous, and eager to rectify the problem. He immediately contacted the warehouse and is sending out people to change my outlet and install my dryer. I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received at this store. The stove was $899 + $250 for install and delivery. Wow. I told the salesman that Lowes had the identical stove for $649 + $55. He became rude and called me a liar. We walked over to a computer and he checked the lowes website. He was proven wrong and i demanded some respect. Beware of this Location. The workers are evil and hustlers. I bought a 55" TCL recently and I had a wonderful experience. Adrian the assistant manager tried to get me the best deal he could. I walked away with an absolute steal. He wasn't pushy and was super friendly. All of the other sales people were great too. I have been to other locations and they just simply aren't as good. One time I went to another location and I almost got duped into buying a $200 pink toaster when I was just looking for headphones. I hate when people try to upsell me.
