Beautiful small vineyard and great wine. Tried a flight and walked away with 4 bottles. The owner was very pleasant and personable. Some live music and wine sitting in the vineyard. What more could you ask for.

We tried this winery for the first time today and absolutely loved it! It was very laid back and chill, kid-friendly, and the drinks were great. We had the sangria, strawberry winarita, and a wine mojito along with glasses of wine. Everything was delicious. The ambience was amazing with a great band, a dance floor, and great service. We met both Paul and Vicki (the P and V), and they were so incredibly hospitable and generous. They even gave our kids otter pops. We'll definitely be back!

    - came here for a friend's bday and had a great time, even in this scorching heat - Parking: was a busy day, so I had to circle around, and eventually ended up parking on the road on the way in - The space had many small local business vendors (cookies, tacos, salsa, candles, clothing and more!), really loved that! plus whenever I drink, I get the urge to spend.. oops - Staff: Very friendly! - Ambiance: You're outdoors, they have tables, but not all are shaded so just be mindful of that. We were lucky to have some tables under the trees! We were lucky to have live music that day too! - Drinks/Wine: I purchased a sangria because I didn't want to be too toasty since I had to drive later, it warmed me up but in a good way! Wish there was more fruit in it, but was still satisfied $13 - Food: They had a taco person there and the food was delish, you order a plate ticket from the bar $15 and you got 3 tacos with rice/beans. A little steep for the plate, but totally get it, and it was good. :) *note: taxes are charged on those fees - Honestly I probably wouldn't have come this way had my friends not told me about it, but I enjoyed my time there.

Such a hidden gem! Can't believe I had not been here till last weekend. Cute little winery in Morgan hill tucked away from traffic and main roads, surrounded by beautiful vineyards. They have a nice setup of a good mix of tables and chairs, picnic tables and some Adirondack chairs. They have a good selection of wines. Their wine flights are a great choice if you want to familiarize yourself with their wines before committing to one. We went on a weekend afternoon and they had good live music. We snagged one of the few empty tables with shade. We had their wine flight as well as wine cocktail- pinacolada. All the drinks were really fine!!! I can see ourselves becoming regulars here. Such a short drive to have a relaxing good time!

A great vibe! P&V Winery feels like home and Paul/Vicki make you feel like family. Wonderful place. So cute. Great offerings, Great wine/sangria and great people! Come visit especially on the weekend. There's live music/dancing. Happy 6th Anniversary to your Winery! Cheers! Paul's pizza is excellent!!! Thank you, Paul and Vicki!

I stopped by this winery for the first time and I had an absolutely lovely experience. From the start, we were greeted and warmly welcomed by Vicki, who was very pleasant and easy to chat with. During my visit I mentioned I was currently looking through event spaces to host a private event, and Vicki was incredibly helpful with answering every one of my questions and providing me with recommendations and information. She went above and beyond and really listened to my vision for the event. She is professional and brought out photo books of linens and event space set ups so I can get more of an idea of what my event can look like. All of this while enjoying a nice tasty flight that consisted of a few of their many award winning wines. Aside from great service, and delicious wine, the ambience of this winery is peaceful and calming, a great place to enjoy a glass during sunset. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Been a member here for a couple of years. Paul and Vicky are always so welcoming. This gem is the perfect place to unwind with a glass of delicious wine with good company. If you want more, they have sip and stroll events and an extensive live music calendar.

We walked in around Saturday 1:45pm on Father's Day weekend. It was busy but we were still able to get seated. They have lawn or patio seating. Some have umbrellas for shade and some don't. The patio has shaded roof. They even had live music. Wished the wines were good. Their white wines were better than their reds. We liked the Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Most of the wines were bland. And the Cab was earthy. This winery is for you if you like easy to drink and light wines. They were even serving sangria. We got to taste all the wines since we shared 3 tastings. Tasting flight is 4 wines for $20. They pour everything up front in the carafe glasses. Friendly staff. You can bring a picnic to enjoy with your wine.

Such a cute and quaint family owned winery! Visited on Memorial Day weekend and had the pleasure of being helped by Vickie, the V of P&V winery! She was so nice and was able to seat my friend and I even though we didn't have a reservation. It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation if you can - we lucked out and got one of the two tables that wasn't already reserved for the day. We each chose to do a small flight, which consisted of 4 different 2-oz pours of our choice. Limiting the selection down to 4 was not easy to do, but Vickie helped make the decision a little bit easier. My favorite wine of the day was the sparkling rosé, even as I'm writing this I'm regretting only purchasing one bottle to go! Though we didn't stay for lunch or the music, it was nice that they had a band and serve pizza! I think you can also bring your own picnic, which is personally my favorite to do at a winery. Will definitely come back for some music and a bottle of wine in the future!

Great outdoors seating. The owner was very welcoming. I love it there. Definitely will return soon. Thank you!

Great wines and ambience. I loved the relaxing outdoor vibe. I packed a picnic and we just hung out. I will say I'm not giving 5 starts only because the music was a little loud and it was confusing when you arrive on Where to sit or how you go about doing the tasting. We waited 10 minutes before I walked up to the bar area. Where you order then take back to your table. It's all self serve. Highly recommended when in the area.

My family visited P and V with our friends &in-laws for Father's Day 2024. It was nice and relaxing with live music. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and the wine was great. I highly recommend P and for a casual time on the weekend.

When we mentioned it was our first time visiting and that we were excited to be there, there was no warmth, no enthusiasm, and no effort to tell us about the wines or the property. Even the pours seemed careless. I know this is Gilroy and not Napa, but I still expected a welcoming experience and better wine service. Unfortunately, both the service and the wine itself were disappointing. The best part of this place was definitely the beautiful grounds, which would make a gorgeous wedding setting. Maybe this place is better suited as an event venue than a wine tasting destination, but based on my experience, I would not return. The two stars are for the beautiful grounds.

"My wine-making philosophy is 'good grapes, good wine. The wine is made in the vineyard through…read moregood viticulture and by mother nature's fermentation process. The wine maker must be a good babysitter to this process." -- Jerry Ross So working and living in the area of Morgan Hill I have recently seen a bunch of signs popping up directing drivers to Morgan Hill's newest winery: Ross Vineyards. Turns out there are 50+ signs all about the area so after hiking Uvas Canyon, I saw a couple more and had to stop in. The Winery is situated on a Hill overlooking Chesebro Reservoir. The vineyard and winery are located on the site of the historic Coffe Ranch whose original owner Joseph Coffe came to the United States from France in 1870 and five years later Mr. Coffee founded The Wine Depot Winery in San Jose. The family lived and farmed on the 300-acre ranch along Llagas Creek in Morgan Hill for three generations the Coffe and cultivated 50 acres of vineyards. The original ranch buildings and farming/winery equipment are still at Ross Vineyards and it was a kick today tasting in the historic barn filled with antiques and photos. Jerry Ross is quite a character and is the main reason for the 5 stars. He was a non-stop story teller, with a Bud of all things, while his grandson was pouring wine and his wife Judy encouraged everyone to sit down and eat the hot dogs and beans that were prepared (I had a dog with the homemade beans. Very good). Jerry was a home winemaker starting in the late 90's and the winery was bonded in 2005. The tasting room opened in May, 2013 and it is a must-visit in the area for the views, the ambiance and the awesome vibes one gets from the Ross's. Married 50 years, this is how wine tasting should be: fun and unpretentious!!! (Here is what my 8 readers are waiting for) None of that fussy stuffiness and overblown pretentious nouveau-riche chateau you find at The Winery That Shall Not Be Named (although we usually do). A messy ranch with rental homes, a tasting room in a historic barn, hot dogs and beans from a crockpot and a funny dog knocking a balloon into the air with his nose until it pops. The winery sells only red wines, grown on Ross Hill Vineyard which is above the tasting barn, and they include Cabernet, Merlot, Barbera, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petit Syrah, Mourvedre, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Grenache, Syrah, and Zinfandel. I enjoyed the 2007 Tempranillo very much and bought two bottles. The other wines were good to very good and I think you will be surprised at the quality. Ross Hill Vineyard is two acres and the winery makes 14 barrels of wine a year. Most of the wines sell for between $20 to $25 So get away from snooty wineries (Hmmm, which one one comes to mind? Oh I remember...) where just getting a cracker, much less a taste, becomes an exercise in civil disobedience. Come out here in the beautiful backcountry of Morgan Hill and let the Ross's, on the 1st and 3rd weekend of every month, show you some true Santa Clara Valley hospitality. Highly recommended!

The beautiful home and landscape are very well kept, and the winery itself is a cozy little spot nestled along the hillside. Prior to visiting, my friend kindly called about two weeks in advance to ask permission to take her graduation photos there so we wouldn't be imposing on their property. We were told it would be perfectly fine as long as we purchased a bottle of wine, which we happily agreed to. Unfortunately, upon arriving, our experience was disappointing. The woman working in the tasting room came across as very cold and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. She repeatedly questioned us about taking photos and stated there was a $250 insurance charge required for photography on the property. When we explained that permission had already been given over the phone, she simply responded with "okay" before ringing me up for a $49 bottle of wine. What was most disappointing was the lack of kindness and professionalism. I was genuinely excited to visit this winery and support the business, but the uncomfortable interaction completely changed my perspective on the location. Hospitality goes a long way in the winery industry, and unfortunately, we did not feel welcomed here at all. Such a beautiful property, but sadly the customer service experience left a lasting impression, and not in a positive way.

I will keep my fingers crossed that who ever is the current owner will be able to turn this winery around. In the meantime I couldn't in good conscience recommend anyone making time to taste here.
