Father and son run the place and both are extremely friendly and funny. They know what they are doing and even do a hot towel shave to the side burns and back of your neck with a straight edge razor like old times-it gives an extremely close shave like nothing that can be done with an electric razor. Sometimes there is a wait on Sunday's so try to go during the week when usually the wait is minimal. They charge $16 for a haircut which isn't bad at all and there is free parking available. Cash only but they have an ATM on premises.

Before I lived in Westchester County, I used to go to Astor Place Barbershop in Manhattan which wasn't horrible but nothing comes close to Jacks. My first 10 years I had Jack and the past 9 I've had Eli, his brother. Couldn't be happier and truly don't know what I'd do for a professional, clean, customized, affordable cut in a friendly setting if this place didn't exist.

My beard something I've been growing for over a year and a half gone. Not because I wanted to cut it, but because the barber dropped the line way too low and reshaped it like it was his face, not mine. It wasn't just the beard either. The haircut felt rushed. Uneven in spots. No real care to my natural lines. Just clip, push, and move on. I had to come home, stare at myself in the mirror, and make the call to shave the whole beard off..not because I wanted to, but because it looked so off it didn't even feel worth trying to fix. Def one of the worst hair cuts I have had. I should have paid attention to the yelp reviews vice Google.

For the past 3 years I've been going to his barber Will and in the past month I don't if something has happened in Will's personal life but he has been rude, unprofessional, and hostile to say the least. We had an issue with the appointment service that Royalty Chop Shop uses. I called the shop 3 times, six hours before my appointment, all calls sent to voicemail. I called and texted Will, no answer. I even called and texted the owner Alex, with no answer. Even when I rescheduled online, I called again to try and confirm my appointment was to be rescheduled for the next day. Still no answer. When I called the next day, they confirmed the shop was closed and rescheduled, then hung up. They then called me back to tell me to reschedule again, wanting to charge me for a second time. After telling them the many times I called, Will jumped on the phone and told me that he is a busy man and it's not his job to pick up clients phone calls or text. When I told him that I called the shop he said it wasn't his job and since I was his only client that had a problem with their software that I can find another barber. I haven't received my refund and I called Alex and left messages countless times.
