As a follow-up, it is only fair that I share that Loftis Repair DID take care of the problem with…read moremy mower. I gave them one more chance to 'clean-up' the situation. I was referred to 'Tony', one of the mechanics. He listened closely to my problem, said he would take care of it and call me when it was done. The shop called me a week later and told me the mower was ready to be picked up. When we arrived, Tony was summoned and he brought out the mower for us and explained everything that had been done to the mower. He started up the mower and demonstrated that all was in good working order. All of our issues had been taken care of. We were very impressed with Tony and his authenticity and sincerity. The mower has been working perfectly since then. Because of him, we are happy to give the shop another chance. But I will add, the shop REALLY needs to upgrade their customer service and their record-keeping. No customer should have to wait around for 20 minutes while their equipment is located. But, because of Tony, we will give them another chance next time any of our equipment needs repair.

I've sent an email telling him to forget it we'll go a different route. As a small business owner your word and actions are your bread and butter.. I'm now looking at a couple more weeks without a mower and likely another $300 for labor. But if you can't find someone reliable, what can you do?
