I was having bizarre symptoms that were unfortunately manifesting as dental and sinus symptoms at the time. He completely dismissed me and insinuated that I was possibly making it up. He didn't even take x-rays and barely examined me. Well, turns out, I had lyme disease. My health continued to decline and my most recent doctor discovered that my immune system has been non-functional since a covid infection in 2020 and I have several health issues as a result. This doctor's negligence further delayed my diagnosis. DO NOT GO HERE! PSA for anyone reading this: If you happen to require multiple root canals that don't completely resolve over a short period of time, accompanied by fatigue, brain fog, mild fevers, and sleep disturbances, please reach out to your doctor to look into Lyme disease. Lyme disease is not very well understood by many medical professionals and you must see a Lyme-aware doctor for proper treatment. Lyme can mimic other diseases and is not the same in every patient. https://www.lymedisease.org/dental-professionals-lyme-disease/. I suggest finding a lyme aware doctor from a service like Global Lyme Alliance.

Week 4 I checked in and was condescended with a speech of it taking 5-6 weeks. It's September--my insurance has since changed & now have to start over--was reminded by the referring dentist ofc that I'm due for my cleaning. Sadly, I can't do that until my tooth is extracted. POINT: This ofc doesn't care. I have NEVER heard of 5-6 wk apv'l process. Referring dentist had no issues. They're obviously too busy to need new clients nor care about them.

I was surprised though at how quickly he did the Botox injections. It took him about, honestly, maybe 10 or so seconds. Poke, poke, poke, poke, and poke. I even expressed my surprise at how quickly he injected it. Usually it takes a minimum of 15 minutes or more. But I figured, this guy's a pro. As the week went by, I realized I wasn't seeing much effect, and really none at all. I had already scheduled a follow-up appointment, at his request, for the following week. I called ahead to let them know that I had not seen any effect, even after 4 days. I figured I'd give it a full seven, but still nothing. Flash forward to a week later. Again friendly staff, friendly doctor. I told him my concerns, and he proceeded to explain how the process works. I closed my eyes thinking, "Here we go. He's going to tell me that I can't expect such dramatic results, etc." He immediately turned. He said, "Are you tuning me out?" and I responded that I thought he was going to tell me that I was expecting too much, or something to that effect. I've had Botox before, and the results were visible. Subtle, but visible. I hadn't even finished my sentence, when he abruptly told me to leave. He said he would refund my money, and that if I wasn't willing to listen to what he had to say, I could leave. I was shocked. All I did was close my eyes. I didn't roll me eyes, or sigh loudly, or cut him off mid-sentence. I was preparing myself for disappointment. That was it. I may have jumped to conclusions. But we've all had experiences where we pay good money for nothing. That's what I thought would happen this time. I lived with a bipolar roommate, and that's what this reminded me of. A sudden change from friendly to hostile. With that all being said, I guess I'm better off. I'd hate to think that he would overdo it out of spite. But that was my experience. I was stunned. I've never experienced anything like that before. (Except for the roommate.)

He was recently placed on Hospice care in February and was told by his oncologist to discontinue the remainder of the dental procedure. I have called Citrus Tower Family Dental several times, talking to the "office manager" repeatedly about receiving a credit for the balance of the $10,000 he paid in advance, as he did not finish his treatment plan. She kept telling me she is "looking into it and will get back to me." No return call from her was ever received. After a month of waiting for some kind of response, I finally went in-person to their location in Clermont. The girls behind the counter had no idea how to help me and went to talk to the office manager. After waiting 30 minutes, the "office manager" finally came out and gave me the same runaround again; I'm researching that, etc. Still waiting 45 minutes later and No Answer as to what credit is due me. After putting me off for the third time, I directly asked the "office manager" how hard is it to print out his account and give it to me? She told me refunds are handled by their corporate office in another state. I asked for their number and after first refusing she finally, FINALLY gave me the corporate number and a printout of the refund due as I requested. No wonder she was balking at helping me; the refund due was almost $5,000! Thank God the person at their corporate office was willing and able to help me finally get this resolved. She apologized profusely for the lack of customer service I had received, promised to get my refund sent out as soon as possible, and gave me her direct number to reach her if I didnt receive it within two weeks. She was very compassionate and empathetic of our situation. I can't vouch for the care you get from the dental staff, but I can say that the office staff is Clueless re: customer service! The corporate office agreed I should have never had to go through this to get a refund that was due me. I would STILL be waiting for this refund if I hadn't personally gone in to their office and demanded it, which Should Not have been necessary.

Thankfully they were able to recommend this dentist and when I contacted them they were still taking my insurance. I do need to get some general dental care but in this instance I contacted them because I thought I had a loose crown. They were able to get me in the same day I spoke to them which was a relief. The downside was that they are 17 mi away which hurts with gas prices these days. Just the fact that they were a dentist that would take my insurance made it worthwhile to make the drive. I had received very good directions when I set up the appointment so even though Android Auto tried to take me to the wrong place I found them easily. I walked in and was immediately greeted and they knew exactly who I was. I filled out all the paperwork and they got me in very quickly. I spoke to the dentist and explained which tooth was the issue. He took an x-ray and was able to explain to me that I had a bigger issue. The crown was not loose, the tooth was and he believes that there is a fracture in it. It turns out I need an extraction and need to see an oral surgeon. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with the service I received even though they could not do the work I needed. I would definitely come back here for my regular dentistry needs especially if I lived closer.

The office and equipment is dilapidated and the dentist who did my scaling hurt me, even after I asked her to stop. She had no reaction or remark that she caused me severe pain.
