Mexican beer
Edward D.

We visited here a lifetime ago in early March, before the COVID-19 pandemic. This restaurant sits inside the Chichen-Itza archaeological zone. I didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is attractive, the service is good and so's the food! They even have a rooftop area where you can dine and see the iconic Mayan Pyramid of Kukulkan inside Chichen-Itza. We came to see the ruins in the afternoon before sunset, and we had tickets to see (an incredible) lightshow that they do at the pyramid at night ("Noches de Kukulkan"--definitely a must-see!), so we had about 2 hours to kill to back inside the archaeological zone. "Let's eat here!", I said. It's not your only choice in the vicinity, but it's your best choice. They have delicious authentic Mexican food (with vegetarian options, if you're into that), great local craft beers and it's not crowded. The waiters seem like they've been here forever and their service proves it--they are very good! If you're hungry after taking in the incredible history of this Mayan Ruin, don't hesitate to eat here--you'll be glad you did!

This restaurant is inside of the 7th wonder of the world Chichén Itzá. The menu had a nice selection of food from Mexican, chicken strips, soups, steaks, deli and a bunch more. They also have a full bar. I didn't get pictures of menu it was on an iPad. There are seats inside and out. The server was very friendly and quick. Did and outstanding job. I would say this is a very nice place to stop and eat after exploring the Mayan city.

Great dinner, great show.

Really good food. I can still taste the goat cheese. It had been awhile since I had some tasty deliciousness . It was nice to sit and be able to hang here before the evening show. Worth the $ all day or night long.

This place is located inside the Chichen Itza archaeological site and this is the only restaurant there. The food is really good too. We tried Yucatan dishes and I must say I love it. They use the chillies grown in the area and it's got a really nice taste. I would love to make some dishes using those chillies. The service was great, waitress explained us the dish and what goes into it. Really friendly and quick service too.

Coconut shrimp in a real coconut!

This restaurant is located inside the Chichen Itza archaeological zone. The food and the drinks are amazing, but it's a bit pricier than you would expect. * The Food * They have many different food choices. Everything looks delicious, but also expensive. We ordered cocconut shrimp and we loved them. They tasted very fresh and the presentation on a real coconut was quite nice. We also had Panuchos, which were also very good. * The Service * The servers are all dressed in clothing that is typical for the region. The service was friendly and prompt. Give this place a try. You're going to spend more than usual, but the food is good and the location couldn't get any better.

This place is hard to miss since it is located on the exit of the pyramids. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Our waiter recommended a traditional dish from Yucatán (I forgot the name) and I'm glad he did! I recommend this place after a long walk around the pyramids.

Small plate tapas

The taps were absolutely amazing & the steak had good flavor. If the rice and beans and the baked potato were a little better I would've gave it a five star.

Ceviche dish. Plating, taste was amazing. Excellent. It was a pleasant surprise.

Great spot for a post meal after Chichen Itza. Large seating area, great service. The ceviche dish we got was amazing. Excellent taste and plating. Stop by after your tour or visit. I would definitely return.

One of the best fusion food we have got in chichenitza so far. Chichenitza is near the town of piste which is pretty remote - nothing of this short can be found in USA. It has familiar setting of remoteness that I found in India villages and places in Costa Rica .considering that one can appreciate this restaurant more as they served very good Italian dish. It is also located right inside the chichenitza campus which has 9/10 things to see in chichenitza. Food is little expensive 20$ per person.

Food is good, not a cheap restaurant though. Due to the location, it might be considered a tourist trap.

The rest of the food including the panuchos and salbutes were warm and brought out as soon as they were complete.

Loncheria Fabiola - Taco time!

We wanted to find some authentic Mexican street style food and not spend a lot of money doing it…read more We were able to make all of those things happen at Loncheria Fabiola in Pisté. We loved that we could dine outdoors (and hangout with like 15 stray dogs haha) and this was incredibly close to the Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza so we were able to grab food here the night before our tour of the ruins. Started off with some pork tacos and some assorted empanadas. The empanadas were good but I would say out of the three things I tried they were my least favorite. The flavor was solid and the fillings and consistency were enjoyable but they lacked the pop of the other two dishes for me personally. I added some of the hot salsas they brought to the table and that made these even better but the tacos and my entree definitely held the edge. These tacos were served on a thicker tortilla than the tortillas they brought for our entrees. I really enjoyed the texture and mouth feel of this compared to a typical corn tortilla. It had more flavor as well to me. The pork had great flavor and was very tender, and the toppings as well as both hot salsa's on this was really great together. I'd eat these tacos all day long. For my entree I decided to get the "Chochinita Pibil" platter. This is this regions famous go to dish so it made perfect sense to try it out. It's a pork that is slow roasted with interesting seasonings like cinnamon, achiote, and allspice. The flavor on this was not similar to things I've had before and I enjoyed it so much. The pork was super tender and there was a bit of a smoky flavor as well. I made some tacos with it and added some of the rice and mole and it was seriously an awesome bite. Would order this again 10 out of 10 times here. 3 entrees with tacos, empanadas, and sodas was like $30 usd or something. Insane. Loncheria Fabiola - Didn't Suck!
