This place is incredible!! My family and I were desperately searching for somewhere to eat after visiting Chichen Itza but couldn't bring ourselves to pull into one of the large buffet tourist food halls (would the full ones or the empty buffets be worse?). Fortunately, we got a tip to look for La Tia and we were VERY happy that we did. As mentioned in other reviews, the only food available is bean soup, corn tortillas, and flat-grilled pork (Pok Chuc)-- but if you like these, what we had here was some of the freshest and most delicious of our whole trip. The waitress was very nice and fast and we had a great time sitting out front and enjoying hot tortillas straight from the stove. Highly recommended, especially given the lack of other good options around this area!!

Salsa was made to order, black beans excellent tortillas made on Spot and are delicious and the meat omg! Chorizo is great too!

Excelente little hole in the wall, great authentic Food, prices are ridiculously cheap for the food they serve, we saw this place on a video from our friends @ the country collectors on their YouTube channel (check it out) and decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did, must try, GPS's location is a little off , the place is actually about /00yards away from the maps point but in the same main road.

Don't Judge a Book by its Cover. That's what you have to say to yourself when you pull up to this little hut/taco stand. We would have never discovered this delectable spot if it weren't for Holbox Adventures. Thank goodness. Enter the hut and you see the women of Mayan descent hand making the corn tortillas and cooking them over an open flame. Step a few steps further and there are plastic tables & chairs. They do have a fridge of soft drinks and I was able to grab a Coke. So what was brought to our table? The MOST DELECTABLE PORK Tacos in my life. The pork was thinly cut and crispy on the edges. The corn tortillas were thin. They had all the fixings of onions, cilantro & salsa & black beans. DELICIOUS. I will forever dream about those tacos.

This place is legit! They only have pork tacos and sausages however. You know it's good when there isn't a menu and everything is in Spanish. We came here not on a tour but in our own rental car. Corn tortillas are fresh and they even give you a side of fried crispy tortillas to top with their luscious pork. They also give you a side of quartered limes, pico de gallo, and a non spicy salsa with roasted tomatoes and spicy salsa. We also got a bowl of bean soup with pieces of what looked like bacon. Loved the fresh crisp tortillas. Pork was also very tender and fresh. They serve foreigners the same pork tacos, however we saw that other tables with locals got sausages and other things not offered to us. I got to try their chamoyada which comes with the chamoy (sweet, spicy and salty powder mix) and I got to choose their pineapple version which is a frozen cup popsicle. The popsicle was topped with chamoy. They also have tamarind popsicles and a dessert called dulce de papaya. We got the papaya dessert which was essentially papaya in heavy syrup to the point that it tasted chewier than usual. For drinks, we got the jamaica (hibiscus flower juice) and coca cola.

If you go to Chichen Itza this is a most for lunch after you're done. We had a private tour and our driver stopped here to take us to lunch, he seemed to know the place and it was all locals eating besides us. No menu, we were basically just brought food and it was all sooo good. We were brought two types of tortillas, regular and lard ones they were both so good. You see them making them fresh as you walk in along with the meat. We were first brought a bean soup which was delicious. They give you a mild salsa and a hot salsa, which we were warneed was very hot. I put the hot in my beans and it was so delicious. They then brought out some pork which was cooked to perfection. They also brought out some horchata, don't be put off by the used worn looking bottles, it's by far the best horchata I've ever had. They then finished the meal off with a tortilla cooked with an egg that was the perfect ending.

You crawl out of Chichén Itzá sunburned, dusted in ancient limestone, vaguely questioning your life…read morechoices--and then you land here. Just steps from Valladolid's buzzing zócalo, where scooters zip past and church bells cut through the heat, this place hides in a garden like a well-kept secret. Lantern light. Greenery. The kind of setting that makes you slow down whether you meant to or not. Romantic without trying too hard. The food? Solid. Confident. Proudly Yucatecan. Sausages with snap and smoke. Poc chuc--citrus-marinated pork, kissed by flame--bright and satisfying after a long day wandering ruins. And the beef pibil, wrapped in that earthy, achiote-stained depth that tastes like it's been cooking since before you bought your plane ticket. Not fussy. Just honest, regional flavor done right. Presentation was sharp without being pretentious. Plates came out looking like someone cared. Service was efficient--no hovering, no theatrics. They know you're hot, hungry, and probably still thinking about pyramids. They move accordingly. It's the kind of place that feels like a reward. Ancient wonders by day. Garden dinner by night. Valladolid humming just beyond the walls. That's a good way to end a day in the Yucatán.

Ambiance on the patio is quite nice. FOOD...forget about…read moreit. One of the signature beef dishes was extremely tough. Fish way overcooked..although they did remake it, just a little better the 2nd time. I'm very disappointed that we wasted one of evening's here.
