All this for like 2 bucks! Al pastor was a winner. So what the chicken!!!

This place is on the way in or out of Chichén Itzá on part of a traffic circle. There are a couple of restaurants right next to each other and you may get hustled once you are out of the car to eat at another one so make sure you pick the right one~ Keeping this one quick - Great food, al pastor is awesome! Good service, quick service, inexpensive food - like others said - damn near free. No issues with upset stomach or anything afterwards. I highly recommend Los Arcos.

CHEAPY CHEAPY ALMOST FREE! My husband and I stopped here on our way back from Chichen Itza as we heard it was a good local authentic Yucatan restaurant. I've never had Yucatan food so I was excited to try it. When we pulled in we were immediately flagged down by multiple girls with different menus so make sure you go to the right location- there are about 4 different restaurants in the same mall strip that share the same patio space. They don't serve alcohol here, but we did hear that they allow you to bring in outside drinks. Regardless we ordered a Coke and Sprite along with a big bottled water. For starters we got the chicken empanadas that were served pipping hot! We also got limes and two types of salsa (complimentary). The red salsa had a kick to it and marinated tomatoes. The green salsa was green pepper and a kick of habanero in it. It was hot, but not scorching. For my meal I got the Chicken Filete de Yucatan, which came with a side of marinated onions, cabbage and rice. The chicken had a really good flavor/spice to it, but I enjoyed it when I mixed everything on my plate together. My husband got the pork wrapped in banana skins (forget what it was called) and it was very delicious. I liked more than mine, but both dishes were tasty! The biggest bonus about this place is that is super cheap! For our entire meal our total was around $13USD!! You can't beat that!

For the money, an absolute 5-Star restaurant in Pisté just opposite the main square. It's co-located with a couple of other small loncherias, but Los Arcos seemed to be the one with most visits this day. We ordered some refreshing homemade pineapple juices (watered out - just fine) and a collection of starters for sharing. 6 people, 600 pesos incl tips. Menu card doesn't announce prices, so you never know what bill you're gonna get :) The restaurant holds a key to the restrooms in the main square.

Very inexpensive for a table of 6

The food was authentic and delicious just don't expect an air conditioned place with music, alcohol and restrooms. As you park the employees are almost interrogating you but don't be persuaded and go to this spot. The food came out fairly quickly since they ate freshly made tortillas. The salsas were good and the fresh juices were too. We ordered the empanadas with chicken and cheese, cochinita pibil plate, tacos and panuchos. The food once again was great and inexpensive, we only paid $410 pesos for 6 people. I'd definitely come back here again. Oh and they also allow you to bring in alcohol that you could buy across the street. Enjoy!

I liked this one better than the neighboring restaurants. They serve free appetizers of fried tortilla chips with about 4 different salsas. Very friendly and the only criticism I could give is that they menus don't have prices. Regardless even the most expensive dinner plate is 50-60 pesos. No beer but they will allow you to grab-n-go from a local liquor store.

That's it with some outside seeting

Okay this is Anthony Bourdain territory here. However asked and asked to get the right place that will give me the true flavors of Merida/Yucatan home made style. This was impressive, get over the fly's bugging you on the plastic tables, and the stray dog visiting you and you will experience something truly out of sight! No beer but we walked over to the next corner, to the Corona place picked up beer and brought that back to our table. They took our beers and put them in their fridge for us to keep them cold and the table was is pure silence after that while we were in food heaven for the next half hour. We had had Panuchos de Cochinita Pibil, out of this world!

Must have had bad luck. Tasted like someone prepared a great meal then spilt a bag of salt all over it

Sweet little spot! Sopes are pretty good and filling; however, the Panuchos are a must!! Definitely recommend this little spot...

We wanted to find some authentic Mexican street style food and not spend a lot of money doing it…read more We were able to make all of those things happen at Loncheria Fabiola in Pisté. We loved that we could dine outdoors (and hangout with like 15 stray dogs haha) and this was incredibly close to the Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza so we were able to grab food here the night before our tour of the ruins. Started off with some pork tacos and some assorted empanadas. The empanadas were good but I would say out of the three things I tried they were my least favorite. The flavor was solid and the fillings and consistency were enjoyable but they lacked the pop of the other two dishes for me personally. I added some of the hot salsas they brought to the table and that made these even better but the tacos and my entree definitely held the edge. These tacos were served on a thicker tortilla than the tortillas they brought for our entrees. I really enjoyed the texture and mouth feel of this compared to a typical corn tortilla. It had more flavor as well to me. The pork had great flavor and was very tender, and the toppings as well as both hot salsa's on this was really great together. I'd eat these tacos all day long. For my entree I decided to get the "Chochinita Pibil" platter. This is this regions famous go to dish so it made perfect sense to try it out. It's a pork that is slow roasted with interesting seasonings like cinnamon, achiote, and allspice. The flavor on this was not similar to things I've had before and I enjoyed it so much. The pork was super tender and there was a bit of a smoky flavor as well. I made some tacos with it and added some of the rice and mole and it was seriously an awesome bite. Would order this again 10 out of 10 times here. 3 entrees with tacos, empanadas, and sodas was like $30 usd or something. Insane. Loncheria Fabiola - Didn't Suck!

I was trying to talk to my husband about things while a sales associate was right on our tail to suggest more things for us to buy that we had no interest in. The food buffet when we came back was okay. There were limited options and only one dish stood out as being tasty was the shredded pork. They had two different groups of dancers who danced for maybe two minutes and then went around asking for tips. Then the server came back around telling everyone that the dancer tips and server tips are separate. The "servers" were not present at all except when they sat us and asked if we wanted drinks and dropped them off.

It's a rather large space with many different souvenirs, at a somewhat decent rate. I wound up buying an overpriced pack of six Mexican Tequilas to give to some of my colleagues and some candy for my daughter. The staff here wasn't overbearing but they stand close by and swoop in to give you a ticket with their name-- I guess to receive credit for the sale, although they provided absolutely no assistance. When we came for lunch, the lines were a little confusing because people were just standing all over the place. Finally, when we did get our food, I only wanted rice and black beans, both of which were good. We also were provided a glass of Horchata, I've never had it before but decided to drink it-- I was very impressed and actually liked it.
