Asking why your food is 40 minutes behind is a reasonable question and this owner was so disrespectful. Once we finally got our order after 75 minutes, the rice was cold. The Dan Dan noodles were more like spaghetti and so salty they were barely eatable. We will absolutely never visit this place again. We recommend you go next door to Hengs Thai who have much better service and kinder owners.

Our server was friendly and continued to check on us throughout our meal to make sure we had everything we needed. My companion got a vegetable omelette, which, as she described it, was more like a mess of veggies held together with a little egg and cheese- it looked wonderful and she said it was tasty. It came with a side of grits which was large enough to be a meal unto itself. She asked for hot sauce and they brought some over- they make it in-house (and you can buy it to-go if you want it for home). It had delicious authority! Hot but still very flavorful. I got a grilled cheese with spinach- it was delicious- very cheesy but also very spinachy and not too greasy from the skillet. The highlight for me was the maduros (plantains)- they were just the right combination of crispy from the carmelized sugars and soft but not squishy, and zero charred taste (which can happen if you are not careful). If I still lived locally, I would be in here frequently- we both left very satisfied and the portions were large enough that we brought home some omelette and some maduros for an afternoon snack.
