We were seated immediately of course we did have reservations (required I believe for the brunch). I ordered coffee and a mimosa then walked to the buffet area which had lots of food options from breakfast items to chicken and fish for lunch items, they also had an omelets station. I will admit my favorite part was getting a yummy omelet made to order. Service was amazing and the place was very clean. Everyone was professional and took great care of everyone. I didn't take pictures but wish I had, since the view was of the lake right outside the lodge, I could see myself coming back again for something other than a buffet, remember I said I am not a buffet fan, well this one didn't make me like them any more but it was clean and lots of options. Was it good, yes. Was the food amazing, not to me, again not a buffet fan. (To many years in the military) Everyone around me seemed to be enjoying the food and almost everyone went back for multiple plates. I will say the view and the atmosphere was worth it to me.

They are affiliated with Crossroads which is a wonderful organization that I have volunteered with all semester. They have free wifi, soda, waters, coffee and printing (!!!). It is quiet in here, but not dead silent so you feel uncomfortable talking. The bottom floor is spacious and has a lot of seating with windows all across the walls that bring in a lot of natural light. The second floor has some study rooms if you need somewhere for a group meeting or to hang out with some friends. The people who work in Crossroads are some of the nicest people that I have ever met and this will definitely become your next favorite place to study and do work!

The area is quiet, the sounds of local wildlife filling the air- birds chirping, frogs croaking, trees rustling. The grounds are centered around a small pond, with outdoor benches, tables, a small pavilion as well as a pergola. The parking at Hanover Winery is just a simple gravel lot, with a small entrance between the trees to gain access to this establishment. Sophia and I discovered this place at the Oxford Beer and Wine Festival in May 2025. They were serving so many different types of wine, it was hard to pick one. Sophia tried the Dammit Annie! , a sweet and rich blackberry wine. Sophia loved the taste, and said we will need to get a bottle. Fast forward to today, June 14th, 2025. Sophia and I make our way out to the winery. It's warm outside, very high humidity. As we get out of the car, we are greeted with the wonderful sounds of nature. We make our way through the trees, following the walkway up to the main building. The main building is a pole barn, with barrels lining the walls, a cooler with wines and beers, as well as slushee machines. We were greeted by three workers, all of which were pleasant, inviting, and easy to talk to. We explained to them how we discovered their winery and they thanked us for coming out. We ordered our bottle of wine and also got two stemless wine glasses to commemorate the outing. We are now sitting under the pavilion, enjoying the weather despite how muggy it is, sipping on this delicious wine, and enjoying reconnecting with nature. The only downside to this winery is that it is located off of a two lane country road, so you occasionally hear the loud sounds of vehicles as they zip by. The Dammit Annie! is a very sweet wine, something that would work best a dessert wine. It smells of rich, ripe blackberries. The first thing you taste is the sweetness as well as tartness of blackberries. This flavor coats the whole palette. The flavor isn't long lasting, and as it fades you begin to taste it almost get more sour and drier. The wine leaves a pleasant aftertaste of blackberries, reminding me of blackberry jams I would make with my family in the summer. Overall, I would recommend checking out this beautiful winery. I know Sophia and I will be coming back for their food as well as the live music they have.
