This is by far THE WORST Cleaners I've done business with in my entire life.I have gone to this cleaners about 5-6 times total and each time has gotten worse. Yesterday I went to pick up my clothing and I was told it was 311.00 total for my clothing .... . Of course I was Flabbergasted being that when I dropped the clothes off the owner says it would be a total of 180.00.... 140.00 for my clothes which would include a few repairs (sewing a few holes up) and dry cleaning them and 40.00 for a purse that I wanted dry cleaned as well .... Needless to say my purse hadn't been touched and he still tried to charge me the 40.00 .... The owner is a liar ..... Another customer came in complaining about missing pieces....it had gotten so bad that I had to call the POLICE....I will be going to court behind this .... It's so sad. read more

It's a shame to leave this review because I enjoyed coming to Oxford for several years. But, in the last year alone, I have been lied to multiple times over missing or damaged clothes, been given someone else's clothes, my clothes have been given to others to be returned weeks later, the list goes on. They are a mess, and the owner does not handle their mess-ups with integrity or respect for the customer. Just now, I was staring at my dress that I'd dropped off for alterations, and he told me it belonged to someone else. He said my dress wasn't ready yet. I said no, that's my dress right there- please contact the person on the ticket and ask. Sure enough, it was mine. Had the most amazing experience. Was in a rush for a very important event and needed something cleaned the next day. On a Saturday of all days. After dropping it off they got it done in less than an hour. I happen to still be in the parking lot and they came to the car and handed it to me. Quite the surprise. Very disappointed in their integrity of the owners. They very clearly damaged one of my suit jackets, it's ripped in multiple places in the back--I just wore it two days ago and know it was not damaged when I brought it in. I noticed it immediately when I placed it into my car--went back in and the owners state they didn't damage anything and will do nothing for me. This is a $500 Hugo Boss jacket--it was virtually brand new. I'd recommend you stay away. read more

Okay, truth be said, I can't actually testify to their ability to dry clean. You see, my old dry cleaner on Briarcliffe Road by Target was amazing and cheap! 20 items for $25. Always friendly, always on time, always clean, crisp clothes out the drive-thru window. Ahh, memories. Now that my life is in East Atlanta, I haven't been able to rendezvous with anyone who comes close to the old flame. After reading the yelp reviews on this place, I thought I'd give it a try. Before shlurping across town, I called to price-check. The friendly lady told me it was $1.60 to dry clean a shirt. Yipeeeeee! I'm ecstatic. I've found my new beau! For that price, I tore half my clothes off hangers, tossed them in the car and floated to the dry cleaners on cloud 9. A monstrous pile of shirts were deposited on the counter with a debit card in hand-I was ready to make it official! Then, I got the bill. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I wanted to say. No, it's me. You know, the one who just called. The one who a half an hour of traffic ago you just encouraged to bring every shirt I've ever purchased in my life in for a nice clean and press? Oh, you are serious. It turns out my "shirts" are not "shirts", men wear shirts... ladies wear "blouses" and "blouses" are $4.50 to hand clean. So, I hauled off my cumbersome bundle, drove a mile closer to home to my equally expensive dry cleaners and sadly gave her half of the bundle to dry clean and spent the rest of my evening learning how to iron. Fast, friendly and never stinky! OK, maybe it's just me but I cannot stand the chemical smell that often comes with drycleaning. My clothes smell like clothes, and that's all, when they are cleaned at Oxford. I have had several alterations done here and all have been virtually perfect, especially the jeans. They re-attach the original hem so you can't tell they've been altered. Bonus: You can get a coffee and a pedicure in the same building! read more

I went out of convince to have a suit jacket repaired they asked if I want to have it dry cleaned as well I said no just repair. Charged me $6.75 on receipt I thought this is good. This place should be shut down. They stole money from me and are terrible dry cleaners. I took items back multiple times to be redone after specifically pointing out stains. Once, they recharged me for a job they did not do. Another time, they held on to one piece of clothing for A MONTH saying they were working on repairing a tear. My fault was not checking the garment before taking it home - I assumed I was not being lied to. The hole was not only not patched, it was never even touched. So I try this place for the first time today because they have an online coupon for 20% off for new customers. I must say I was overall pleased with their services. They were courteous efficient and took a very specific notes about how I wanted each piece of clothing handled. They are certainly not the cheapest place you can go in metro Atlanta but then again they are in metro Atlanta and one has to expect a little better price when patronizing businesses in metro areas. One of the great things that they offer is the same day service feature which is not often offered today at dry cleaners. They had no problem laundering my shirts as well as dry-cleaning some other clothes on the same day and I thought that was just fantastic and well worth the higher price. There was a really nice guy at the front counter who checked me in and one comment as you definitely want to make sure that he repeats what you say because he sometimes misunderstands English. With that said, he was supervising and that absolutely should not cause you any concern about going. read more

My review is for the seamstress! No matter how simple or complex of a job I need, I know she will do a wonderful job every time. I just got home from getting another alteration at Oxford Cleaners and I am blown away. I went in on Tuesday morning (3 days ago) with a vintage ombré gown beaded top-to-bottom and the mentality of "just do what you can," hoping to give it some kind of second life. This dress is beyond what I expected it could be, she even fixed little errors here and there, and the price is unbeatable-- not to mention how difficult of an alteration this was, and the price I was afraid of. Not only is the seamstress completely sweet, but she didn't complain about the beads (haha) and the rest of the staff there always engages in conversation and seems to be very honest and careful. 10/10 times, *seamless* experience :) read more

Not only did they lose my clothes, but the old lady insisted that she checked the cameras but didn't see my pants even though my ticket was clearly marked as having paid to clean that particular item. I will NEVER again give them my business and neither should you. Save your time, money, and frustration. Presto cleaners is right next door and half as cheap. I have been using this place for a long time. Just recently they have been messing up some of our stuff. My boyfriends favorite shirt from Thailand came back with some weird stain on it that they refused to claim, although I dropped the shirt off myself. A pair of pants I took had ink stains on it and they failed to notice them, when I took the pants back they attempted to charge me again to clean the pants. My most recent upset was when I asked them to fix a strap on a dress. THE LADY PUT A PIN WHERE IT NEEDED TO BE SEWED!!! But instead they just cleaned the dress and wasted my time. Usually there is a girl at the front who knows us, but lately she has not been there, and the other people working are very irritating because they don't pay good enough attention..... read more

On the whole, a good dry cleaner. The turnaround time on clothes is fast, reasonably priced, and the staff is very very friendly. This location of Oxford Cleaners is next to the Little Five Points Starbuck's, so the parking lot can get a bit crowded during morning and afternoon rush hour. Beware. These people tried to rip me off, IMO. After going to this cleaners almost weekly since 2006, something recently changed. I always had my shirts laundered, but suddenly a couple would be dry cleaned instead. Like Stephanie H pointed out below, there is quite a price difference. Finally, after this happened a couple times, I went to pick up my shirts and all of them had been dry cleaned. Of course, the bill was through the roof. When I pointed this out, they offered some lame excuse about me wanting that and it being in their computer that I wanted that. White button front business shirts dry cleaned? If they really thought that, they know nothing about running a laundry. I don't think they are that stupid; even the new guy at the counter must have more sense than that. These people seemed to have tested my limit and then tried to rip me off. Shame on them. Shame on me for not stopping them when they first did the small rip offs, but shame on them for getting greedy with a longterm customer. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. IME, they will try to rip you off. Also, if you do get your pants altered there, be sure to ask them to make the pants shorter than they want. I ruined several pairs of pants stepping on the bottom with my back heal until I figured out you needed to spell out to them how to shorten pants. read more

Beware, if you go here, you take the risk of having your car booted. If you walk away from the car for any matter of minutes, your car will be booted, and it will cost you $50 to have the boot taken off, even if you are a loyal customer. I've been going here for about 6 months now and have been thoroughly pleased. The prices are fair for an in-town dry cleaner, but what sets them apart is their same day service, which isn't as common. Staff has always been friendly and the facility is clean and well-kept. Awful, they lost a rather expensive shirt and claimed that I never brought it in. They do a poor job of sorting through clothes that you first bring in, since I'm positive that the shirt was in the comforter that I also brought in. You'd think that when doing the comforter they would find the shirt, but clearly no. You'd be much better off going to the less expensive dry cleaning place across the street. read more

Very good cleaners. They don't use the harsh chemicals most cleaners do, so your clothes don't smell bad when you get them back (not to mention you don't ingest the chemicals either). It's family owned, and they are always on site and very friendly. In addition, they do alterations, including for jeans - and can leave the existing hem on high priced jeans for a reasonable fee (less that $15, I believe). They're open until 6pm on Saturday, so that's a help, too! read more

Very good cleaning service. However, I'm disappointed about the alteration service. I went in with a bunch of dry cleaning and some alterations and was told the alteration lady wasn't coming in that day. It was the day after Thanksgiving, so I wasn't upset. I was told she would be in tomorrow. So I returned around noon the next day. I waited in the driveway for a parking spot since there were only salon parking spots available and I could see that the salon was open. I cringe the whole time since a car soon lined up behind me, thus backing up traffic on Moreland Ave. I soon get a spot and wait in line as the sole person tries frantically to take care of everyone (2 ahead of me and 2 behind). Only to be told that the alteration lady did not come in yet but they called her because there was a customer earlier who needed an alteration. They got my number and said they'd call when she came in, but at this point I'm out of the house and don't relish another parking debacle. I'll be taking my alterations elsewhere. read more

Have used them for a few years with no problems.....NOW - a problem. Took in a pair of pants that I had had dry cleaned by them several times. This time the new guy at the desk HAD THEM WASHED!!! of course they shrunk, When I went to put them on and discovered that I called. then took the pants in. They made me put them on to see - then both the man and the woman in charge(I guess) made every excuse as to why it was my fault! Said they followed the directions on the tag - but they couldn't have, because it said to hang to dry- and the pants had obviously been put in a dryer, HOWEVER I brought them in to be dry-cleaned!!! The woman implied that I had shortened the pants to make it look like they had shrunk. Not only did they not offer to pay for the pants they ruined, they didn't even offer to reimburse me for the 5.25 I paid to have them cleaned! Such a shame! I went there on 10/12/17 because their sign in the front of the building said all garments dry cleaned and pressed for $1.95. I brought in four items only to be told after wasting my time, which was considerable considering that this place is hard to get into and even harder getting out of, that the sign out front didn't really mean $1.95 any garment. Actually it means with a minimum of 8 garments. I said nicely, "but that's not what your sign says," Only to be told that was the way they did it. . I left immediately never to return, but was thanked by the man behind the counter for coming in I guess for giving him the opportunity to rip me off, how odd, you lied to me to get me inside your store I call you out on it and you thank me, really?
