It's unfortunate that the minimum star level is 1 on Trustpilot. Overclockers desperately deserve a 0. The will offer you 2 postage options, the first, basic, is Royal Mail 1st/2nd Class, the second is by courier. Being the sham company that they are, they don't actually pay for a (what can be considered) reasonable level of security, they don't require a signature, they simply leave the parcel outside the front door of your house and assume that you'll receive it. When someone spots the parcel there, and walk off with it, Overclockers will then say "Well we delivered it, it's your problem not ours". Their delivery systems, and customer service, is beyond atrocious. Do not, under ANY circumstances, trust this company to deliver items to you. read more

Ordered loads of items over the last few years from OCUK and I always receive extremely quick delivery. Delivery is free if you're a regular member on their forums, plus their customer service is top notch as well. As a result of all the above they are now my go to PC tech supplier! read more

I hate giving negative reviews but the service from these people was really bad. I ordered a keyboard as a birthday present for a young relative. He wanted it to use in a gaming convention. My money was taken and a month later, after 2 ignored emails, it arrived here. I had paid them to deliver it directly to the recipitant but no it came to me. Not terribly well packaged either ..in a box that was way too big so it rattled around. Postage for me to post it was over £8 and too late to arrive for the convention. I emailed them and asked why they had not done as I asked and 3 weeks later have not had a reply not apology. Beware! I would not order from them again. read more

Overclockers is not the easiest place to find but is well worth making the effort. It is situated on an industrial estate and is certainly not as posh as somewhere like PC World but the prices of the PC's, peripherals and components are very cheap and sometimes even cheaper than online only stores which is very rare. With PC superstores you are paying a premium for the nice display stands etc where as here you are just paying for the product. They also have a very good website so you can check the price of items before you visit. read more

A regular shopper at Overclockers over the past several years. They have an excellent range of quality components at reasonable prices. I recently spec'd up and bought my perfect customised gaming PC from them. The customisation goes much deeper than any other online store that I know of. The staff are knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful, allowing me to make changes after placing the order, and making recommendations for alternative components where items were out of stock. Additionally, they ship overseas. My PC arrived in Austria less than 24 hours of being sent, well packed and ready to plug in and go. I will continue to use them in future and highly recommend them! read more

Good items but poor communication. Do not buy unless you are willing to take the risk for the item in terms of poor customer care. On the plus side, their prices are very cheap and they have amazing offers on some items. I once purchased a NAS server from here which was discounted to a more sensible price than the usual extortionate amounts retailers charge for ready-configured units. I often play Overclockers UK off against amazon UK, however I would be more likely to use amazon for core PC components now having read some of the reviews here. read more

i've never had the problems that the other person who has reviewed this place has had, so can give the other side of the coin as it were. I've always found them to be cheap and get the items in stock quickly. Living near enough to pick up my items probably helps. Even if they dont have the items that you need in, they will try to chase it for you, and if they cant get it, will suggest other places you try instead. Its definitely helped me to upgrade my computer for a lot heaper than i would've managed anywhere else read more

I went to overclockers a while back and had a problem with an item took it back and they replaced it with no problems. Staff were ok but could be abit more happier the phone service is herendas they answer the phone when they feel like it so if you want anything its best to go and not to phone . The bad thing is that its out the way and on a industrial estate and in winter when your going to the shop and waiting to be served it can get cold so its a good idea to wrap up warm. Items are cheap and there discs are good value read more

I've been a customer of Overclockers for quite a number of years now and still think they're great. I'm lucky enough to be within driving distance of them and haven't used their mail order section. There new HQ is a little easier to find than the old place but even more spartan. Still, the real reason I go to Overclockers is for the low price of PC components. Some prices seem to be the lowest in the country and I don't have to deal with the hassle of mail order. The service has always been good if anything needed to be returned too. If you live close to Stoke, check them out online then pay them a visit. read more

AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID ! The worst after sale service !!! Send £500 graphic card for repairs after a while received mail on 14/Nov that they received it and will run tests " days later another mail saying everything is ok with it and i should receive my card back shortly. Then another barrage of emails repeating all process all over again but with trucking number this time. Two weeks later guess what ? Another emails barrage that they received this time on 29/Nov .... and LOST IT WAREHOUSE !!!! So I called them and we agreed on replacement. Grand finale: One week later received package all exited. But it was too good to be true .... inside was my old card in condition like all team of overclockers.co.uk have a go and kicked it around for a while. PS: here comes the most shocking part. Called them straight away for explanation and came across the most RUDE and UNPLEASANT conversation in my life, during witch i was accused of fraud !!!! Now I'm going to escalate my case to the court. I hope this post will save someone from going thru same experience I did. STAY AWAY !!! read more

Placed an order from California for a Case at 3am, got a successful confirmation but the payment didn't go for some reason. Zero attempt on their part to fix the issue. When I chatted with them I was basically told my order was given away and I was SOL. I ordered $4k worth of components for this build knowing I had specially ordered my case and now I'm screwed. read more

I have shopped with Overclokers a dozen times in past and recent as far as December 2013. Overclockers UK never seem to ship it same day no matter what time of day you buy, so you get it 2 or 3 days later. Its always a hassle, needing to email them asking one day later where's my stuff and they always ship it only after this email, so clearly bad management is to blame. They always refund delivery costs, but that's not acceptable either even if it s a reasonable resolution. Not acceptable because the premise of only selling next day DPD shipping is never fulfilled, so why sell it? Goods are almost always badly packaged as if in a rush (no surprised there), not even the tape is sticking to boxes. Overclockers UK would be more appropriately named Slackers UK." read more

Looks like i should have read some of the online reviews before placing my order with Overclockers.co.uk, but you live and learn. Nice website, good product range, reasonably well priced and seem to know what they're talking about but then you order and it all goes downhill. Seemed to unable to put two products in one box resulting one part being RMA'ed before it even left the warehouse. The 2nd part also didn't leave the warehouse as the courier number they gave me never got picked up, presumably because it was never ready to ship. After 4 phone calls saying they were about to fix it had to ask for a refund. Use the website for ideas but do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere. read more

I live in Portugal,ordered Primo Nano Baytrail Micro PC,paid with my Amazon UK account and there is no indication of where to find the details of my Overclockers payment through Amazon UK. Also a shipping charge of 84.40 pounds sterling for such a small package with DHL seems really steep,especially for a firm that will not come to my home address and I will have to collect from the nearest village. I need a new GPU, So I bought myself a brand new 1080 from overclockers as my 980TI died in the middle of gaming. The website stated "buy this item within the next 20 hours and receive it on Friday the 20th 2018" I placed my order on the 18th. It is now the 21st and DPD are quoting a delivery date of Monday the 23rd. why do they call it DPD 2 day delivery if they can't deliver within 2 days? Sorry this is more directed at DPD than Overclockers but iv been getting very little feedback from them, its also not the first time iv been let down by your chosen delivery service. Update, after talking to DPD dispatch they confirm that they didn't receive my GPU until earlier hours of Friday morning despite me ordering on Wednesday evening and their website stating it would arrive Friday if I ordered there and then, Really not happy overclockers! read more

I've always wanted a great p.c that I created but I have not got the skills to build it. Thanks to overclockers I have now got that machine. I ordered my p.c with the tweaks I wanted and received it within 7 days. The p.c was very very well packed with all relevent information left for me , I was given all cables and boxes for every item installed on the p.c. I was well informed of the delivery date , who the driver was and a one hour time slot. I only contacted overclockers once by phone and they were very friendly and gave me the info I needed. I was a bit unsure about spending this much money with a company that I had not dealt with before but I shouldn't have been concerned . The p.c is well built and all cables are tidy , it works very well , is quiet and it was obviously well tested before being sent to me. I will definitely order from overclockers again and recommend them to others , it's so refreshing to deal with a company that do a very good job while maintaining great customer service. read more

While this place does have some fabulous offers, many turn out to be false savings as they are of very poor quality & break fast, if they are not damaged when you open them. In particular, their own brand OCUK items are horific in my experience. Some of the other brands on sale are much better, however. If you do encounter any problems, the phoneline costs 10p per minute to be kept on hold, fobbed off & hung up on...well that's what I got for a polite enquiry about my shoddy item (So far replaced twice & now the faulty replacement has been in for repair for 4weeks)! Inthe actual shop, most staff are as helpful as they can be & try their best to help you around the severe hinderance of the company's obstructive policies, although I personally avoid Nile, who is a little too agressively rude & obnoxious for my liking. But hey, give the guy a chance-you might warm to him. Maybe he just needs a cuddle! If you're skint & are prepared to take the risk because of the prices, you'll either strike on an amazing bargain to rave about or lumber yourself with a useless piece of rubbish with a neverending, hassle filled mission to get it dealt with to your satisfaction. My advice is save up & go to PC World -their warrantee & statutary rights come with much less argument. Don't get me wrong, I do know 2 people who have been lucky & found a really good deal on a good item with no faults, it just never happened to me & I know many more unhappy customers. Truly disappointing. read more

Established in 1999.

In 1999 Mark Proudfoot had an idea to sell overclocked CPUs with guaranteed performance and stability. A keen overclocker himself he saw value in taking the risk out of overclocking. From this idea Overclockers UK was born. In 2000, Overclockers UK obtained its first tiny premises at Imex Business Park, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent - just 400 square feet - serving as warehouse, office and shop. On 30th January 2012, Overclockers UK was acquired by the Caseking, the leading European distributor in cases, case mods and cooling products to the enthusiast market. The company name was changed to OCUK Ltd and we moved to a new facility, twice the size of our previous warehouse, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. In November 2012 we opened our new 100sq metre custom-designed shop, complete with interactive displays for customers to try out some of the best performance hardware currently available.

They are not a very big shop but the workers are very good with keeping the store clean.

The staff are less than knowledgeable and don't care about finding the product to suit your needs. The stock level is often poor. On four occasions I reserved goods at the PC World website for collection to find they weren't in stock when I went to pick them up. I've not used the repair section since they refurbished earlier this year, but they used to be useless. My laptop was insured by PC World and when I dropped it they refused to fix it as the case had cracked. They cited their policy of not repairing "cosmetic damage", and chose to ignore the fact the laptop had been tested as "not electrically safe". They did eventually do the repair, but only after I made an Ombudsman complaint under the insurance policy, and went to trading standards. If you really must use PC World, then the one in Stafford is much better and only 25 minutes away down the A34.

Many items also seem to be cheaper to buy from the website so I always check there before visiting the store.

OK guys I've just had a problem with OCuK and I have been a customer with them for over seven years. Having had an issue I decided to see how people rated their customer service and I found this page. I must admit it gave me a sinking feeling that I was going to have a hard time with them.Before I bought my bits for my latest rebuild I checked in their customer service pre-order forum and got a reply from 5ub. The following is a trace log of the conversations I had with 5ub from pre-purchase to dealing with my problem on their pre-purchase forum.Hi there,I would like to buy my components now but have them shipped on a particular day. Can I buy now but get the order fulfilled in a day or two twos time so I can plan to be in to receive them.The trouble I've had with OC in the past is that by the time I've created a configuration thats in stock and I'm around to receive an order the parts have gone out of stock. I used to be a loyal customer to OCUK as well for many years, spent a lot of money there and chose them over other suppliers even if OCUK was a bit more expensiveuntil yesterday. Like alll others here already stated if you order stuff and there's no issues with your items, everything goes okay but if you have to deal with their cust service, they are just appaling!!! Could be that other companies have bad cust service as well, but they are cheaper as well! So why choose OCUK??? Companies like theirs will go out of business because the word will spread and the more people they push away the less people will buy of them which will force their prices up (they are already overpriced to be fair as per my story below) I wanted to buy a few things of them which would've cost me £470+ at Overclockers which at pixmania I could buy for £392 (containing shipping fees!) so I thought, I'd give them a call to ask if they do price match, which they said they do (at this point I'd liek to stress it took them ages to get back to me and I had to chase it by keep calling them numerous times on my expense!) and finally came back with a price match of £402 even if I pick the items up, they couldn't do any cheaper. I thuoght, ok, I live close enough, I'll pick the items up, that £10 doesn't matter that much. I went in after waiting for ages, they brought out half of my order and told me that the price match was only for 2 of the items and not 4 which I originally wanted. They said the best they can do is £440. I wanted to build my comp this weekend and now, just because they couldn't be bothered to check the links I've sent to them for the price match, I don't have anything (as I'm not going to buy stuff for £40+). So now, I've ordered my items of pixmania. Ebuyer is good as well, DO AVOID Overclockers, they are rubbish and their prices aren't good either anymore, just look around at other places, don't be loyal to them, as they don't give a s**t about you!!!! read more

Hi, have been using Overclockers UK in the past and now wanted some information on a laptop before buying it. A simple question regarding the addressable memory on a 4GB unit with Vista. I was very surprised with the answer "contact the manufacturer" and the attitude of the service manager Anthony. below is the email echange. Good points: +It's cheap and has great weekly deals and offers which can be taken advantage of +Ordering is easy and items arrive quickly +You can contact them easily and they will reply fairly rapidly - ranging from the same day to a couple of days (from my experience) +Friendly staff Bad points: -Among my £550+ order, I ordered a £50 Hard Drive which turned out to be faulty - I contacted them and they requested I send it back to them, and I did. Although they have never told me what ACTUALLY happened, it's clear that it arrived to them and they sent it back to me for some reason that they will not discuss - it took a month to come back to me and a further two weeks for me to re-send it to them and get a replacement. -Also in that order was a graphics card costing £130 - this was also faulty. I sent it back to them 14 days ago and haven't heard an update since it arrived 13 days ago. I have faith it'll turn out well but it is a little slow and I feel that I at least deserve to know what time-frame we're working to as the fact remains that I spent over £550, two of the items were faulty and one is still with them. Although this may seem bad, I would consider shopping with them again - though I WOULD shop around. No problems with small-valued items; big-valued items would take some consideration. read more

Overclockers is a great place to go if you are looking for computer stuff at a good price. Good points: Products very well priced. It is easy to order - you choose your product on their website then take in the code and tell it to the staff. Bad points: The customer service doesn't seem very good. A few times when I have been there there have been people getting very angry that their products won't work and the staff pretty much ignore them, claiming no responsibility. It's a bit hard to find, too. It's in some kind of industrial place that isn't very well signposted at all. It's best to go with somebody who has been there before! From reading that back it looks like I am giving a bad review but I would reccommend it to people who don't want to be way overcharged for computer parts read more

I recently bought a £1600 system from Overclockers (not my first from them) and I have to say the experience completely put me off ever buying from them again. Firstly they sent the wrong PC not a great start. They then proceeded to be completely unhelpful when resolving this and went as far as to blame me for the delays as I did not send back the original OUTER (no relevance to PC) brown cardboard box. The staff were openly rude over e-mails, not apologetic and never followed up on promises. However, I must finish with this, the system now that I finally have it is fantastic. I can't fault that. Although, it did arrive with a cracked window on the side but to be honest after the whole ordeal I decided to live with it rather than engage with their customer service again. read more

Terrible. Will never use them again. Ordered before 9am on a Thursday morning and paid the premium (over £17!) for guaranteed Saturday delivery. They didn't even dispatch the item. Entire PC build on hold now due to them.I wanted a refund quickly so we get to the part that really disgusts me. The only phone numbers you can call them on are rip off 0871 premium rate numbers. And of course you have to sit through waffle and be on hold for a few minutes before anyone answers.A total con to squeeze a little extra cash out of you.I've used them in the past and was happy with but after this I'll never use them again.I'll also be checking my credit card very carefully to make sure they don't drag their heels issuing my refund. read more

I put in an order for a Hazro monitor, Overclockers took payment of $721.26 and then another $25.67 for a total of $742.90. They then told me that they would not be shipping to the United States at this time. In few days I received a refund into my bank of $712.23. When I asked where the missing $25.61 was I was told that they would not refund that to me as the exchange rate between sterling and dollars had changed. After many e-mails they still refuse to pay me the missing $25.67 and will not give me the name of the CEO of the company. I have never dealt with a company like this one and I suggest you stay away from Overclockers UK read more

Over the last 4-5 years I have spent £1000's with Overclockers and have found them to be friendly,trustworthy,priced fairly and their customer services,second to none.I cannot recommend OCUK enough.If you should have any problems,and with electronics its not a question of if but when,the turnaround for RMA is lightning quick.Nice friendly voices and very knowledge-able people to take your orders/queries.To be honest I have even bought from Overclockers when they slightly more expensive just for piece of mind.I would stress to anyone that for stress free way to build computers,Overclockers UK is the way forward! read more

Been with them years however I have received the worst customer service and now will never use them again. If they think that it is acceptable to act like they do when there is a problem then they need to learn how to service customers. Very rude and arrogant and not at all customer focussed. Ebuyer is a great deal cheaper but I stayed with overclockers.uk because I thought they were good at customer service. It's not just about selling parts, it's about what happens when it goes wrong. Don't be fooled by their online reviews as most of the posters are school kids that have never had customer service. read more

While the initial service with Overclockers UK is good, the after care is terrible. I initially purchased a monitor and after receiving a faulty monitor as a replacement one for the first faulty one they gave me, they refused an equivalent exchange or refund. Do not shop with Overclockers UK, it is not worth the hassle and you'll save money in the long run should anything go wrong. read more
