Give PC World at Stoke a miss and buy your computer goods online for home delivery. The car park is small and it's difficult to get out of due to the heavy traffic in Festival Park. The staff are less than knowledgeable and don't care about finding the product to suit your needs. The stock level is often poor. On four occasions I reserved goods at the PC World website for collection to find they weren't in stock when I went to pick them up. I've not used the repair section since they refurbished earlier this year, but they used to be useless. My laptop was insured by PC World and when I dropped it they refused to fix it as the case had cracked. They cited their policy of not repairing "cosmetic damage", and chose to ignore the fact the laptop had been tested as "not electrically safe". They did eventually do the repair, but only after I made an Ombudsman complaint under the insurance policy, and went to trading standards. If you really must use PC World, then the one in Stafford is much better and only 25 minutes away down the A34. read more

PC World is one of the largest PC superstores in the area and has a good range of desktop computers, laptops and peripherals. I have only ever been at the weekend so probably the busiest time but I have always struggled to find a member of staff when i've needed one. When I have eventually found someone they have been reasonably knowledgable and helpful. The prices for PC's and laptops aren't too bad but other items, especially accesories repairs and extended warranties can be very expensive. Many items also seem to be cheaper to buy from the website so I always check there before visiting the store. read more

Festival park pc world is in a good location and they have good deals but online pcworld do exclusive offers and depending on what your looking you might want to shop around as they are not very cheap but do offer you quality, the stores is big and have wide ranges on everything. the staff are friendly and i think this is because they get paid on commision as they do use the sterotypical tone of voice and badger you as soon as you get in the doors and ask you if you need any help, this is ofputting sometimes but if you want advice go there they do seem very educated in the field and do help you find products in your price range and can do discount of 5% on their discresion as i found out when i brought a camera from there they offered me a case with it and then offered me a SD card and then nocked off 5% not sure if it was just because i brough a package but they staff are pushy in a way buy selling up products but does depend who you talk to in there. PC world is a really good computer shop although they charge really high prices even for repairs there is always staff aroung egar to help . The shop is really big and has a good sized car park the aisle in store are big making it easy for pushchairs and wheelchairs . PC world sell everything laptops , computer , hardware , software , console games etc. The ques are never normally big but tend to be in the sales / christmas which can be a pain . read more
