This restaurant is very popular because it is very good. Probably one of the very best restaurants in Wake Forest . Therefore, you might have a considerable wait to get seated. So plan ahead the food has always been excellent that we have ordered, it is priced on the high side but not exorbitant prices. This place has come a long way in the 15ish years I've been coming "here" (here is not where it used to be, in the Cotton Company bldg). And of course it's been through many hands in those years, two of the former owners being friends. The hip vibe of the new restaurant is quite the departure from the pizza and wings joint I first fell in love with, but it is nice and is definitely someplace I'd bring a friend to impress with what Wake Forest has to offer. Last year was the first time I visited OTF and my experience was pleasant and I gave this restaurant 5 stars but January 31, 2022 was totally different. My husband and I was placed at a table that was small enough for 2 five year olds. The waiter attempted to take our appetizers away that we were eating at the time to make room for our entrees. Delish food. A bit pricey but great salads with nice portions, for all food except the cup of soup- that is served in a thimble. It is likely actually half a cups worth. I was so tempted to get my measuring cup out and see if I was correct..... no idea who thinks that is a reasonable amount for $7 but anyway the bowl is $8. Get the bowl. Pretty darn good! Lunch with son, grandson, wife and I. Tavern type of restaurant. Large bar, lots of seating and a busy hostess fitting a lot of people into seats. A very popular place and once you look at the menu you get a hint of why. A ton of great options. Starters which include there own house-made dips (She-Crab, Guacamole and Buffalo Chicken), their homemade fried potato chips, flash-fried shrimp and cauliflower, along with some of the standard bar kind of appetizers. Bunch of different chicken wings. Flat breads and pizzas. And then there are salads with their 17 (yes, I counted them) salad dressings. Home made soups. Burgers, quesadillas, wraps, entrees and sandwiches. If you cannot find something you want, the problem is not the menu. Servers were great. Lots of explaining and coaching you as you selected items and them dug through the various toppings, dips, sauces, sides and dressings to go with your order. We had Brittany who was superb and very friendly as well as efficient. Grandson had a pizza...no surprise for a 10-year-old. I had the beef on Weck which was nice roast beef, LOADED with horseradish on a caraway seed and salt crusted pretzel bun. Had trouble eating all of it, along with very nicely cooked fries. The owner is from Buffalo, NY, hence the "falls" are as in Niagara. Wife had a generous pepper Philly sandwich, also of beef with home made potato chips which were over cooked and not edible. Their food is pretty consistent and good. The only thing that is frustrating is that this place gets SO BUSY every single night way early. Come in early (before 6) for a larger group. We got there around 5:45 on a Monday and waited over an hour for a table for 8. I would consider this one of the better restaurants in Wake Forest based on food and bar quality and menu options. My go to when I get take out or dine in is simply the potato skins and the wedge salad. The salad is huge and the blue cheese dressing is wonderful. The wings are great. Maybe the best in the area. I also think their to go process is among the most efficient. I never wait long to get my food and head back home, all from the comfort of my car. read more

We came here for dinner on Saturday night and were expecting a long wait but got seated right away. As expected it was busy. My husband ordered a beer (he got a chance to do some tasters to narrow down what he wanted) and I got the Bodini Malbec. My husband was obssessing about bourbon so I convinced him to get a flight. It was $14 you get 2 oz of bourbon spread out over 4 varieties. One of the ones he selected was no longer being carried so he had to pick again. He liked 2 of the 4 he got and was introduced to some new bourbons. (he got Bakers 7 year, Old Forester, Jefferson's reserve, Basil Hayden-he wanted Fillibuster). For meals I got the Southwest Cobb. No complaints. The dressing was spicer than I thought. I also wish they would serve it in a bowl instead of on a plate. Husband got the BBQ melt burger with fries. He said it was good. Kidlet got the mac and cheese which came with fries or chips. We got fruit which we did not see any sides other than fries or chips is $1. The mac and cheese she did not eat but my husband sampled and said it was good. I do not necessarily think for the size the value was there. The fruit also tasted like it was frozen and the defrosted (and looked it too). We got the chocolate cake for dessert. It was delicious. My toddler enjoyed the shaved chocolate and whip cream. Over all our bill was $72.53 for 3 drinks, 3 entrees plus dessert. If in the area we will go back! read more

No matter what time of the day there is a 30+ minute wait. I'm done trying to give my money to a business that obviously doesn't want it and can't serve their patrons. I tried to put in a to go order (in person) and Michelle tossed the menu at me and said call this number and it was the number to call the phone she was holding. 3 stars instead of one because service was amazing. We have not been here in over 6years. Waited over an hour for mediocre food. Sirloin was tough flavorless and chewy. Husband had the steak sandwich and thought the same. It's a shame to wait and hour, spend $100 bucks on a Thursday night and leave unsatisfied. Will likely not be back. Or maybe we ordered the wrong thing. But to only have one steak on the menu you'd think it would be special. It's not. Don't make the same mistake. read more
