I called this service because it was close to my area I live in Lawrenceville and am so grateful that I did. Shannon came for a meet and greet and was prompt and friendly and set my mind at ease. She looked over the area and gave me a fair price for the work. On the day scheduled, she again arrived promptly and got to work. I was in and out of the house and when I went to look was so pleasantly surprised. Everything was perfect. She also has ideas about space that I did not think of to help. Shannon even surprised me by fixing up an area that was not negotiated! Because I had given her such a large job, she had underestimated the time a little and finished the next day!! First, she began by organizing our basement, which was previously difficult to even walk through without tripping over something. She worked side by side with us to sort through boxes of memorabilia and family heirlooms - a process that could have easily felt overwhelming or emotional, but she approached it with empathy and patience. Her ability to guide us in categorizing items while respecting their sentimental value was remarkable. Due to the size of the project, Laura also brought an assistant one day who was able to help me with basement tasks while she came up with a game plan with my husband to organize his office. Next, she moved onto organizing our garage. With a keen eye for efficiency, she created a practical layout, grouped similar items, installed a clear labeling system, and helped us make full use of our shelving. Instead of my car door constantly hitting the bike and other items around it, the garage now feels accessible and functional! We were downsizing from a 7-year lived-in townhome to a 2 bedroom apartment with a family of 4. It is very hard for me to get rid of things and not accumulate more things. What I was and am most impressed by with Sasha is her genuine kindness, humility, cheerfulness despite setbacks and obvious passion for truly helping us get to "A Better Life". Most recently, she has done a beautiful job with organizing and providing neat solutions for my walk-in pantry that was atrocious. She has also been instrumental in getting my closet in order. My home was an absolute…read moredisaster, and I couldn't even pick a starting place to declutter, let alone organize anything. Sasha came in twice to help me out. The first time, she made a plan to declutter and organize the main spaces in my home, and she helped me clear out a ton of junk, as well as designing a system for storage. She was kind and supportive while we went through my things, understanding the nostalgia attached to the most ridiculous items, while gently guiding me to get rid of things that were broken or outdated or unused. Sasha has a great network of contractors and was able to arrange for a handyman to take care of minor issues throughout the condo. She helped me sort items for donation and took care of taking them to the charity drop instead of leaving it to me to handle. She gave me 'homework' after every visit, and followed up frequently to offer guidance and motivation. She made the process feel easy and manageable. At the end, I had so much more space and everything had a place of its own to return to after use. My condo felt so much more like a home instead of a storage area. The second time Sasha came to my rescue, I was renovating the condo and needed to get everything packed and into storage in a very short window of time. Sasha and her assistant came in and got it done! She also handled arrangements for junk removal and movers to take everything to a storage unit, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. I would work with Sasha and A Better Life again without any hesitation. She is very responsive, communicates clearly and made a very difficult process as stress free as possible. I researched several Atlanta area designers before hiring Leah Atkins Design. After meeting some others and obtaining quotes, I knew Leah Atkins Design was the best fit for my project. I felt comfortable with Leah's knowledge, contacts and pricing. Her grasp of my desires and style were proven at her design concept presentation. She had paid so much attention to detail I'd relayed in our first meeting, I was stunned to see my dream home taking shape under her vision. This renovation involved a complete redesign of the 1980's style interior inherited when I purchased the home, as well as furniture and decor selections. I lived in Florida while the renovation was taking place, and hiring Leah made this entire process a lot easier, as she oversaw every step of the endeavor. With Leah's assistance my home has become a modern and contemporary space and I am ecstatic with the results she achieved. It is a true testament to her talent that relatives, friends and guests who visit my home are in awe of the transformation. Leah has a friendly outgoing attitude that she easily maintains while remaining solution-focused. She has great communication, listening and organizational skills which kept me on time and on budget. It is a flat rate based off the number of bedrooms, and then you can add specific items that you would like done which are not included in their flat rate, so there are no hidden fees. I got all of my ceiling fans cleaned, so they are ready to be used! Secondly, Melinda is very prompt at getting back to you and answering your questions. I needed to adjust the time, and had some special requests, but she was more than happy to cater to my needs. She has an awesome personality. Finally - and most importantly, Melinda and her crew get your house CLEAN. I'm a bit of a neat freak, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to paying someone to clean...but they go above and beyond. After sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping, they get to every corner of every room with a brush - literally, a brush. Whatever you catch during the final walk-through that they might've missed (which is barely anything), they fix right away. They use different colored towels for different purposes, so you don't have to worry about a towel that's touched your toilet area touching your countertops. They vacuum under the couch and the couch cushions. They clean all light switches and handles. I can go on and on - let's just say they know what they are doing! I am sure everyone Melinda hires is screened by her high standards, but her crew members Brae and Michael were professional, courteous, and detail-oriented.
