While they are compliant with state staffing minimums (per Atria management), residents can be left unmonitored for significant periods of time, due to the high care level demands of this group of people, and the layout of this facility. (The main living area and the dining area are separated by an atrium, which impacts the line of site between the two areas.) Residents are regularly evaluated for their functional needs. This information is used for billing purposes only. It is NOT used to determine staffing levels. This is a missed opportunity. We have discussed this concern multiple times with Atria management.

After visiting many facilities, we found this facility to be very nice, upscale, bright, and clean. 3. The food however is greatly lacking. In an attempt to be an upscale restaurant with "unique" food offerings, they forget their audience...many things they offer are things my parent has never even seen or heard of... they should regularly bring on the familiar comfort food. 4. The restaurant waitresses are VERY nice and attentive, but it takes an AGE to get our food. I recently had lunch with my parent and it took around 45 minutes to receive. The chicken on my salad was as dry and old tasting as could be - obviously had been sitting around. The side salads never came out until well after the entree, and the pizza was not a traditional pizza with lots of toppings...more of a bougie type pizza (not well executed) so my parent sent it back. We ordered the hamburger which was very good. 5. Periodically the Ivy brings in entertainers from outside from time to time which is nice.

Absolutely pristine private home -from the entrance to the kitchen, living room, bathrooms, bedrooms and backyard. It was located in a lovely upscale neighborhood in Rocklin. There is a huge beautiful backyard with seating under a gazebo. I happened to arrive at mealtime, and the residents were sitting around a family table. The food looked good, the residents well cared for. The owner, Lily was warm and professional. Although we decided upon a larger facility, Agape is worth a visit if you want a home setting. Not for someone on a tight budget- but costs are fairly comparable.

She definitely was not making any progress there then I learned about citrus Pines. Janelyn the owner is such a sweet person who genuinely cares about all her residence. Once I explained our situation to her She made time to come and visit my grandmother at the other home and shortly thereafter we got her transferred. Since moving to citrus Pines, she socializes with the other residence she can get herself to and from the restroom by herself and we are happy to say she is transitioning back home next month and we couldn't be more happy if you're looking for somewhere to send a loved one this home care facility should be at the top of your list. Jake and Eric have so much patience and really listen to the needs of all the residents. Nancy and Ludy are also there to help whenever needed. I can't say enough good things. Words cannot express my appreciation for the staff and services of Citrus Pines Senior Living…read more My father was there just under a month and I got to know the staff well; we were there almost every day. Placing my father in a board and care facility was not an easy decision, but one we had to make. After my initial meeting with Janelyn, I honestly felt completely at peace knowing my father would be taken care of. Post care for my father, my opinion of Janelyn has not waved and she is truly amazing. Her care and compassion, along with her diligent attention to the safety for her residents, is second to none. Janelyn's sons were equally impressive. They all made my father feel safe, special, loved and welcomed. What else can you ask for?! Not only did my father feel this, my wife and I did as well. There is something truly special about this place. Everyone, and I mean everyone, that I came into contact working for facility was a blessing. This included third party transportation service providers, medical specialists that checked in from time to time, and even hospice workers assigned to provide additional care towards the end of my father's life. With respect to the facility itself, it is safe, clean, pleasant, peaceful, and welcoming. My father's room was a perfect match for his personality. The staff made sure to make it welcoming and decorated it to fit his needs. Best of all, my father, who loved to be surrounded by nature, had a view of the serene backyard, where he could see and listen to the water fountain, watch hummingbirds feed outside his door and squirrels feed and play. Janelyn and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my father's remaining days were nothing but peaceful and comfortable. The circumstances that lead us to partner with Citrus Pines Senior Living were difficult, but it was a pleasure getting to know Janelyn and all of the staff within this amazing facility.
