During the first few days of my stay, they were in almost constant attendance, making sure that my needs were met, and that I was comfortable. The nurses delivered my meds on time and efficiently took my vital signs, so I was always assured that I was under good care. The physical therapy team also helped my recovery to progress apace. Daily exercise periods assured that muscles and other tissues affected by the surgery continued to improve during my stay.

In October of 2019, both of my parents ended up here. First off, there is PLENTY of staff on hand. The place was constantly buzzing with way more staff than residents, which is a VERY good thing to encounter. Also, most of the staff that I spoke to was nice. And my parents reported that they were well cared for. The staff weren't just putting on a show for family members. Second, since my parents have been discharged, I have had to call in about a few different things (questions regarding a partial refund on billing, and then medical record requests), and every time I call in, I am treated like a priority, rather than a nuisance. And this is MONTHS after my parents were staying there! Nice. Any transportation needs were addressed in a timely manner, and the drivers were very professional. Really, this place deserves more reviews and more stars than it shows on here. Do NOT be timid about having a loved one come here. Be thankful. I would like to give a special should out to Dominick and Taylor who took care of my parents - my dad especially sang your praises. Then they dissenrolled her on a Sunday afternoon with no communication to us, no authorization from anyone and then lied and made up several stories about why and what happened leaving us with no one to draw blood, check bed sores, monitor weight or listen to her lungs. Its hard enough to take care of older people at home but these people make it a nightmare. Horrible company they should be ashamed of themselves. She was even visited by a musician who played beautiful, soothing harp music right in her room, which was such a special touch. As guests, our own interactions with the staff were equally seamless, particularly with the friendly security guards, cafeteria staff, and dedicated case managers. The smaller size of the hospital belies the large private rooms with lots of sunlight and plenty of seating for visitors. Everything was clean and tidy too. During a time when so many families are involuntarily estranged by COVID-19 restrictions, I really grappled with the grim possibility that my wonderful mom, ravaged by cancer, would spend her final days alone in a hospital. I jumped at the chance to care for her at home when the oncologist uttered the phrase "palliative care," a phrase I dreaded as I had relented quietly to myself as the next logical step. Blossom Ridge facilitated everything, from transport to furnishing the bed, medications, and equipment. I can't emphasize enough how exceptional hospice nurses and home health aides are. As savvy a medical pro as my husband is, there were times he admitted some things were just above his punching weight, and the nurses never hesitated to provide guidance during those dark days. I was able to spend my mom's final moments by her side, and Blossom Ridge made that possible.
