Each has its strengths and weaknesses, but The Villas stands above them all thanks to Grayson Tynes, Executive Director, and Nikki Zukic, the Director of Memory Care. Both have set the gold standard for providing personal care to their residents and for creating an active and supportive community. My role as a private caregiver--hired by the families of residents--means I have an objective and unbiased assessment of every facility I work in. I am an advocate and mandated reporter first and foremost, so I have a duty to observe everything. This means watching how the staff interacts with residents, how the facility itself is maintained, etc. My experience at The Villas over the past six years, during which I have had clients there, has been very positive. Each of the aforementioned directors has taken the time to listen to my feedback and observations, which, in turn, has allowed us to exchange ideas and suggestions. Their professionalism, integrity, and genuine commitment to their residents are unmatched. Staffing is and will always be an issue at every facility; I have seen the worst to the very best at all of them. It is an unavoidable element due to the nature of the industry. So I will not pretend that any one place is perfect. However, The Villas has seemingly been the most proactive in both hiring and letting staff go (to put it nicely). This approach has ensured a consistent, effective level of care for residents.
