During my search, I have realized that most of the agencies have dealt with difficult situations from their own pasts, which seems to create a certain familiarity.. I know it will be challenging trying to find the right agency, and finding the right caregiver that will want to help us out on the weekends.. Erika was very helpful, but also very upfront that because of the shortage of workers, it may take some time to find someone. I am glad I called.

He was tasked to find a assisted care facility with specific environments. His choices were all on the money but unfortunately my mom kept coming up with more requirements. If it were me, I would have selected any one of the ones he suggested. He was toughtful and caring of what I wanted for my mom. However, she was steered to another facility in Fremont that filled all of her specifications and then some (primarily an Asian community). She sadly passed in April 2019.

Anything outside of radius is $50/hr. This was not disclosed during my tour. The dining room is lovely with white tablecloths and flowers on each table. Food is nice and a credit to the chef. However, table service is erratic and inattentive which can be frustrating for people with disabilities who need to be checked on periodically by wait staff to make sure they have everything they need. Some wait staff seem professionally trained, others need more training and supervision. My food orders are too often wrong and food that should be hot often arrives luke warm or cold. This could be kitchen staff problem as well. To summarize, Ivy is a good idea that needs lots of improvement.
