I did a prior review to talk about how…read moreamazing this place is, and after my experience today, I want to reiterate that we are just so grateful. I relocated out of state six months ago but prior to my move, I was tentatively considering whether I should move her to my new state.  But the care she gets at Atria, the fabulous memory care irector and her staff, and the love she feels in memory care, convinced me and my family that my mom should remain there despite my moving far away.  I and my family members are able to come to visit her periodically but we also know that even in our absence, our mom is receiving outstanding care and is safe, healthy, and happy.  The staff here are so professional, highly competent, and warm and loving toward their residents. My mom had an annual telemed appointment this morning with her doctor and Denise Pascalau, the director of memory care, graciously came in on her day off, at 7 am no less, to facilitate the appointment so that I could easily appear from out of state as I was not able to come to California for the appointment. Denise's input during the appointment was invaluable.  She knows my mom so well, knows her quirks, her likes, her dislikes, and what she needs to be happy and healthy.  I just can't say enough good things about Denise and her staff.  Atria and its residents are SO fortunate to have them.  I believe Atria is the best in the business of caring for older folks and especially those with dementia and Alzheimers.

During the first few days of my stay, they were in almost constant attendance, making sure that my needs were met, and that I was comfortable. The nurses delivered my meds on time and efficiently took my vital signs, so I was always assured that I was under good care. The physical therapy team also helped my recovery to progress apace. Daily exercise periods assured that muscles and other tissues affected by the surgery continued to improve during my stay.

The property itself is beautiful and located in a really nice area of Roseville. Everything feels modern, upscale, and well maintained, and the inside is just as impressive -- high ceilings, lots of natural light, beautiful common areas, and that elegant feel that Oakmont communities are known for. But what really stands out to me about Westpark is the people. There is such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire building. Barbara, the Executive Director, is fantastic. Her office is right near the front entrance, and I constantly see her out talking with residents, families, staff, and people coming through the building. She is very accessible and genuinely seems to know what is happening throughout her community. The same goes for Innes and Michael in the sales department. Their office is also right up front, and they're always interacting with residents, families, and staff and saying hello to people as they come and go. Ghenet, the Memory Care Director, is another person who has really stood out to me. It's obvious from talking with her that she genuinely cares about the residents in memory care and their families. That attitude seems to carry throughout the entire staff. Whether it's the care team, dining staff, maintenance, or anyone else I pass in the hallways, people make eye contact, smile, and say hello. There's never a shortage of friendly faces, and it gives the community a very warm, almost family-like atmosphere. I'm not a resident or someone looking for a place for a family member -- I'm a contractor who does quite a bit of work in senior living communities, so I get to see these places from a different perspective. I always enjoy the days I get to work at an Oakmont community, and I tell people all the time that Oakmont is one of my favorite senior living organizations to work with. Oakmont of Westpark absolutely lives up to that reputation. And one last thing -- while I haven't personally eaten there, I've heard from plenty of people that the food is really good too!
