Took my 2022 Gladiator to Outlaw Offroad after trying to get my issue fixed twice at another business. Shane diagnosed the issue fairly quickly and gave me what I believe is a reasonable quote for the repairs. He also informed me that the repair could cause issues with other steering/alignment components in the future, but said he did not see issues with those components now. I felt that Shane was being honest with me and went ahead ordering the parts needed for this repair. I will update this review after the repair is completed. For now I remain optimistic. read more

Run away from this place! ... unless you're willing to do a full Jeep for $200k+. I took my CJ-7 to this shop because I thought they knew what they were doing and would do a good job. Wrong. I spent over $12,000 was completely ripped off. The sales guy was good at sales so shame on me for buying into the pitch. I carefully itemized all the work that I wanted them to do and was relying on their apparent "expertise" to do the job right. Not rocket science. Just CJ-7 Jeep basics - suspension, hydraulic steering assist, cooling system, etc. They took an extremely long time to get the work done and, when I finally got to pick my Jeep up, I was shocked by how much they got wrong: * New cooling system - overheated almost immediately and hoses leaked * New steering system - steering wheel crooked, hydraulics connected incorrectly and very loose, horn wire wasn't even connected, turn signals didn't disengage * Suspension - extremely stiff (like rodeo bull), drive train sounded light a freight train when decelerating. * Battery dead There were numerous other items that they just screwed up or didn't do. I hardly ever give negative reviews but this shop definitely earned this one. Total waste of money for me. read more

Took my 2019 F150 to this shop for an engine replacement and suspension work. Communication with the front desk was good but I'm not pleased with the quality of work done on my truck, specifically the engine replacement. I dropped my truck off on a Thursday and they said it was scheduled for the following Monday for the repair to begin. I'm guessing sometime between that Thursday and Monday someone drilled a hole in my gas tank and stole my gas while it was in their possession, no big deal they patched the tank, but charged me for it. The next two things are why I won't be taking any of my vehicles to this shop for service. Brand new engine and they didn't purge the air from the coolant system so the coolant was extremely low once the truck purged the air from driving. Add to that, the oil filter was so loose that it was leaking oil, I got about 3-4 good turns on it before it got tight. Luckily my wife noticed it and pointed it out. Had to put about a quart and a half back in. Both of those things could have damaged the brand new engine that I just bought from Ford and had to wait for ever for it to show up. If I'm going to pay you $18K for parts and labor I expect a decent product in return. No issues with the suspension stuff. read more

I have had Outlaw Offroad do work to my wife's jeep on 2 separate occasions and I will say that both times that they not only met but exceeded the expectations that I had. I brought them aftermarket rock lights, a switch panel and a light bar, and they installed the the rock lights and switch without any issues and went over the set up. It turned out that the light bar that I purchased was the wrong size and did not come with mounting brackets, so I returned it and scheduled a new install date. They were very accommodating when it came to rescheduling as I had some shipping issues and did not receive the light bar in time for the original install date. He did let me know that there were some installation issues as the bracket that i bought did not perfectly match the lights bar, but the finished product showed expertise work and we could not be more happy. Had a Jeep I was considering buying on FB Marketplace. Took it in here to get inspected before I bought it. They said it was all good besides old shocks and transfer case issue. Nothing that would affect road driving. I bought the car and it didn't make it 30 minutes down the road before it broke down. Looking into the exact problem now but, I would have hoped the inspection would be able to spot a problem to cause the car to breakdown so soon. read more

I took my Jeep in for engine & possible transmission damage & install a supercharger. Outlaw had my Jeep from 31 Mar-23 Aug, 4.8 months, 145 days to be exact, after initially being told 8-10 weeks for parts and a week for install. I made countless calls asking for updates over this time period. 13 Apr upon immediate receipt of invoice I paid $13,661.10. 3 Jun, RIPP has no record of the supercharger being ordered. This is after waiting 3 months, bc I had them call the manufacturer. I'm told they can have a Hamburger supercharger in next week. They don't start work on my vehicle until 12 July. 22 Jul told my Jeep is ready, I drive 3.5 hrs, pay balance of $6,811.39 & told my AC isn't charged. I make it 12 miles, check engine light comes on. Code P0325 NoK sensor. Take Jeep back. Hear nothing til 28 Jul after I send frustrated email. Doug tells me they are working on "previously scheduled jobs. Hear a bunch of excuses and "what they think" is the issue. 23 Aug I drive again to pick up my Jeep. I speak to Doug regarding issues w/the additional work invoice. I was charged an extra $912.40 & I had to have a chaperone to test drive my vehicle. Doug even had the audacity to say "most of the delays were caused by me!" I asked to see the invoice/order form for the Original RIPP supercharger, which he of course refused. I reluctantly paid the invoice so I could leave. I'm not sure why I was charged to diagnose a NoK sensor that is part of the new engine that I paid for & 4 hours labor to remove the intercooler b/c they installed it over a muddy radiator. This is the quality of & pride they take in their work. Outlaw clearly has no clue what they are doing from the amount of "solutions" I was given after going to pick up my Jeep the first time. Like a blind man throwing darts at a dart board. I never did get a diagnostic report, bc one was never done. Not sure how you replace an engine & transmission without knowing the issue with it. I paid a total of $21,384.89 to not have a vehicle for 145 days & receive the worst service (if you want to call it that), ever. I am honestly not sure how this place is a business & I most certainly would not recommend them to anyone. If you want to not have a vehicle for 5 months, receive horrible/rude service, then this is the place for you! I will gladly send copies of emails, text messages, and a very detailed timeline (that was too long to post) to anyone that would care to see it. I sincerely hope that no one else goes through the ordeal that I did and I absolutely do not recommend or will do business with them again. read more

Wow! Had such a great experience here at Outlaw Off-road in Greensboro. Was out on the road when two of my wheels threw a few broken bead lock bolts and some flat tires. Cooter and and the fellas in the shop had that fixed in just a couple hours. Then they saved me cash and a trip to the dealership by diagnosing my engine light. They Cleverly found that it was just a faulty connecter and had that done within minutes after the part arrived to the store. Great day here at Outlaw Off-road. No reason to try any of the other shops when the service was that good here! read more
