My car needed new shoes, French shoes to be exact, and before there are tariffs on those shoes (or not, who knows, what day is it?) I decided to drop into my trusty reliable Discount Tire for a quote to action on in a few days. Turned out they could get me in and out within 45 minutes, so I just decided to go ahead and have the installation done. As usual, the customer service here was excellent. Tread depth on my current Yokohama tires was taken and confirmed, it was time for new tires. This time, because who knows how expensive tires will be in the next few years with all the nonsense, I decided to go with the most durable tires they had, so I got my first ever set of Michelin Defenders. The tech explained to me the difference between mileage rating, and actual real world miles that customers are getting. They even have their own data showing a range of what people have seen, and further break that down into a dollar cost per estimated miles rating. I love data, so this further helped sell me on the premium Michelin tires, which were expensive, but not THAT much more expensive than my usual Yokohama choices. Within 10 minutes my car was in the garage, and then 20-30 minutes later, I was on my way with that fresh tire smell. All installations are also balanced out, and the tech informed me they didn't see any kind of unusual wear on the other tires that would indicate my car is out of alignment, so he advised I could skip the alignment for now (not performed on site). I have purchased from Discount Tires my entire adult life, and see no reason to change that. Their price still beats pretty much anyone, and the service and warranty really does work here. I arrived here around 7:50am on a Wednesday morning to get my tires rotated and balanced. They don't open until 8am. However, I wanted to be one of the first so I could be in and out. They let people in at 7:55am, thankfully. There was one person waiting ahead of me. I checked in and my car was in the bay by 7:58am. At 8:04am, I received a text with a link to track the status of my car. At 8:14am, a service technician came out and told me that my car was almost done and would ready in a couple minutes. Discount tire has been my go to for tire issues since moving to the area. The first time I had an issue, was with a rental car. I had gotten a nail in the tire, took it to them and they pulled and patched the tire free, no idea where the tire was bought, wasn't even my car, but they were happy to help, and that made for a great experience. I could tell walking in, all the guys were making it happen, listening to upbeat music in the shop, and having a good time while getting the job done. Just went in to have a tire repaired (nail) and it could not be repaired as the nail was in the sidewall. I got an excellent price adjustment on new tires as the old tires were far from their mileage warranty. I previously went to the new DT in Kernersville for a tire rotation and after being told that I should replace my existing tires as they are 5/32nds; then told I should replace my windshield wipers; then the tire tech came out and said I should consider replacing my lug nuts because they could swell (what?)..... I have been going here for years. These guys are great. I would dare say one of the best in the area! Everyone is super responsive and for the most part, on time. The "no cost" rotation and balancing is fantastic. Even if you don't buy your tires there, they'll do a free rotation! The only reason I didn't give them five stars was the guy handing me the keys after the rotation told me the wipers needed to be replaced. I personally replaced them only a month before. Either the guy doesn't know how to inspect wiper blades and needs to be re-trained or he was purposefully trying to lie about the wiper blades. I laughed at him and turned down the offer, but do be aware that they might try to sell you a pair of wiper blades, with possible nefarious intentions. I didn't see this up sale when came time to replace my tires, but people cycle through and time will tell. For now, great place, just watch out for wiper guy! read more

Although I was previously told by the the manager and Discount Tire Direct they would price match the online brand and price I selected price Mike decided the match should only be honored with the brand that he selected. When we finally got it resolved Mike then decided he would make me the last customer of the day because I didn't choose his selection. I waited over FOUR hours for service.
