Owners are awesome and full of stories. Great stop even if not in the market for anything!

Before I start this review I would like to say that my response is based solely upon my personal…read moreexperiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's begin!. My wife and I have been talking about firearms for a minute now but we never acted on it. Well enough procrastinating, we made plans to go yesterday afternoon to acquire about some firearms!. We walked in and right away we were greeted by a stone associate. I apologize for not getting his name because he was very detailed in all his explanations about our questions about the different firearms. We have both had our concealed carry license for years but never decided to pursue any firearms until now!. It was an easy transition to obtain a concealed carry license. All you have to do is take a gun safety class which consists of the basic knowledge of handling, owning and the gun range firing portion of it. Once you complete that you receive a certificate in which you take to your local city hall and apply for a concealed carry license. After you pay a $50 application and a somewhat brief background check and everything comes back clean, you will receive your license in the mail... Smooth transition!. I remember being born in NYC and trying to obtain a firearm license was impossible. I am sure there has been some change but to carry a weapon LEGALLY in NYC is almost impossible and I know I CANNOT bring firearms there under no circumstance. So knowing the laws in each and everything state are critical in owning firearms. But here in the Virginia and most other southern states the gun laws and carry licenses are a lot easier to obtain as opposed to the northern states. Well back to the review. I was able to purchase two firearms for my wife and I. Once we did a background check and everything came back clear and accompanied by some paperwork I was able to make the purchases. I have checked other prices of local shops and online gun dealers and I would say that the prices are pretty reasonable to me!. Another smooth transition process. I will be back to purchase more firearms as the need consists!. I appreciate you taking time out to read my review!. I would also like to add to the people who are against firearms. I purchased weapons for my wife and I for personal safety and protection and home defense purposes!. It is our right to carry firearms and our responsibility to protect and defend ourselves against the threat of violence!. I hope I never have to use my weapons but if it means defending my family and myself. Trust and believe I will not hesitate to shoot!!..

I've spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years on guns, vintage items, and more. I've…read morebeen a loyal, repeat customer for over a decade and have never once haggled on price. That should speak for itself. Today was the first genuinely negative experience I've had here, and it was bad enough to warrant this review. The item I came in for is extremely common, with numerous identical listings online averaging around $285, with high-end listings topping out near $315. Despite that, this store had it priced at $500. Wanting to support a local business, especially one I've supported for years, I made a fair offer of $350, which is already above the highest market listings. The counteroffer was $415. What made the situation worse was the tone. The gentleman behind the counter came across as dismissive and condescending, clearly in a bad mood. I've dealt with him many times before, and this behavior was out of character, but that doesn't excuse it. When a loyal customer who makes a reasonable, above-market offer is met with both inflexibility, attitude, and complete disregard for years of haggle-free previous business, it's disappointing and disrespectful. I said my piece and left. Experiences like this make it harder to justify supporting local businesses when the value and professionalism simply aren't there. I guess it doesn't help that just last week I attempted to purchase a vintage pocket watch here that was represented as fully functional, only to discover, after insisting on testing it, that it was completely broken. The entire mechanical windup mechanism was shot. Had I trusted the description and not tested it on the spot, l would have walked out with a non-working item. Even then, the only concession offered was a $15 reduction, which was frankly insulting given the condition. Lastly, and this was the icing on the cake, my firearm background check was placed on hold a few weeks ago. Since this has happened to me before, I asked if they could call the state police hotline to expedite it, which is a standard practice at many dealers. I was told they were "no longer allowed" to call due to new rules and that I simply had to wait. That turned out to be completely false. I called the hotline myself and was immediately helped by a courteous representative who looked up my application and approved it on the spot. I then shared the number with other customers who were also waiting, and they too were approved within minutes. The reality is simple: I was intentionally misinformed. It's amazing what happens when someone takes initiative, something I would expect from a business I've supported for years. Experiences like this, combined with today's earlier interaction, are disappointing and far below the standard I've come to expect as a long-time, loyal customer. Do better.
