A word of caution to couples considering Next Level Tents for their wedding…read more
I rarely feel compelled to leave a review like this, but our experience with Next Level Tents was stressful, disappointing, and frankly unacceptable for a company providing services for such an important event.
We hired Next Level Tents for our September 19, 2026 wedding. We booked in February, paid our deposit, and later accommodated a change in tent size after it was determined that the original tent wouldn't fit at our venue. We paid the additional deposit requested and believed everything was in order.
Our invoice clearly stated that our remaining balance of approximately $3,000 was due October 11, 2026 -- three weeks AFTER our wedding. We planned our wedding budget accordingly.
On September 15, just FOUR DAYS before our wedding, we received another invoice reminder from Next Level Tents, again explicitly stating that our balance was due October 11.
The very next day, we were suddenly told that the entire $3,000 balance needed to be paid immediately or our rentals might not be delivered.
When we questioned this, the company acknowledged in writing that the October 11 due date was a clerical error on their part. Despite acknowledging responsibility, they initially refused to accommodate the payment schedule they had repeatedly provided us. Instead, they offered to refund our deposit if we couldn't pay immediately.
Imagine being two days away from your wedding and being told that the tent, tables, and chairs you've arranged months in advance might not show up because of a mistake the rental company made on its own invoices.
Our wedding planner had to intervene and advocate extensively on our behalf. Ultimately, the company agreed to honor the original payment arrangement, and the rentals were delivered.
For the record, we paid our remaining balance in full before the October 11 deadline originally provided to us. At no point were we attempting to avoid payment or evade our financial obligations.
Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve much when it came to the quality of the equipment.
While the tent itself was lovely, several of the rented tables were in poor condition. Some had to be rigged just to remain standing properly. We made it work because, at that point, what other choice did we have? But after the tremendous stress surrounding the payment situation, we had hoped that at the very least the quality of the rentals would justify the ordeal.
It didn't.
I want to be clear: We never disputed the amount we owed, and we always intended to pay our balance. We simply expected the company to honor the payment terms it had provided us in writing, including in a reminder sent just days before our wedding.
I understand that businesses make mistakes. What matters is how they handle them. In our experience, Next Level Tents took responsibility for the clerical error in words, but initially expected us to bear the consequences of that error at the worst possible time.
To other brides and grooms: Please be cautious. Get everything in writing, save copies of your invoices, confirm payment deadlines well in advance, and ask questions about the condition of the equipment you'll be receiving.
Your wedding vendors should be people you can depend on to reduce stress, not create a crisis days before your wedding.
Our wedding was wonderful, but that was in spite of this experience, not because of it. I would not recommend Next Level Tents based on how our situation was handled and the condition of some of the equipment we received.
