First, we were greeted and seated within a minute on New Year's Day when it was a little busy. We received our drinks, cutlery, napkins, saucers, and plates for our appetizer within 5 minutes. Our waitress, Brooklyn, was professional and friendly. She waited patiently for our appetizer order and dinner food orders. We got the appetizer with fried cheese patties, fried onion pieces, and fries smothered with cheese and bacon bits. Three dipping sauces came with those. Everything was delicious and well cooked to this point. Our house salads were generous portions and had a variety of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers with our choice of dressing. I ordered the whole rack of ribs. Wow! Delicious. My baked sweet potato with fixings was marvelous. My husband ordered a steak well done but it arrived still red and bleeding. He sent it back 2 times which made it dry. The manager, Emily, visited us at the table and offered a generous solution of a gift card and a dessert comp. GET the CARROT CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE ICING. DELICIOUS. YUM. The service was impeccable and the food was prepared well except for the steak and we were happy with the manager's solution. I see this location has a 2.5 rating but I can explain that. It's in Princeton, which isn't exactly the dining capital of the world (I'm being very kind). Most people in Princeton are used to fast food, homemade food, or roadkill. Outback is literally the best dine-out option in town but since people are used to other things, three points are taken off right off the bat for most diners. Therefore, it should be a 2.0, which means 2.5 is above expectations. On top of that, it's on a freaking hill! How many Outbacks do you know are on a hill? I'll wait. Was seated quickly, and server took our order with ease. The steak was cooked beautifully but a little rarer than what I ordered (no big deal). The issues I had was the mashed potatoes were completely bland and had already built a film up from sitting, and the sauteed mushrooms​​​ were flavorless, except for the district cross contamination flavor of old shrimp​. What made it even weirder, I did ask for a side of shrimp and it was served on a brick hard piece of "toast" that looked like it was picked off another orders plate 3 days ago and slapped onto my plate (broken pieces and jagged). Absolutely horrible experience. We should have heeded the other reviews. Steaks were over done and absolutely leathery. I guess that makes sense considering it was a full hour after we arrived that they showed up. The restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday afternoon, so not sure what the reason was for the long wait. When they finally arrived, our daughter got a cheeseburger despite us telling the waitress more than once she was allergic to dairy. Finally, cleaning is very low in their priorities because we sat at a table among three that were piled up with dishes for most of our visit. When we got there the wait said that it would be 30 minutes, but it was actually an hour and where are we sat. The table was still dirty and we had to get it wiped off the people. There were nice. The Bloomin onion was good. The mushrooms was good, but whenever our food came, it was like it had been said in the back for a while steaks were almost raw and cold. Worse Outback I've visited due to horrible service. Our waiter was Joe and after 1 hour of being seated, all we had were the original drinks he brought. I had to walk to the bar for a refill for my wife and kids where I found our waiter (Joe) watching TV. After 1hr and 15mins without service, I told the waiter we were leaving without eating. He then presented me with a bill for $124. Keep in mind, we never got our food!! He got the manager, Mandy, who deducted $50 but asked us to then pay $71 (see below photo). Once Mandy realized we didn't get any food, she did give us a full refund but by this time we had wasted 1.5 hrs and still had to get dinner for my family. We went in October for our anniversary. First we were seated right behind what HAD to be a prostitute. Decent people don't want to set next to horrible people. There should be a section for each type of people. One for trashy cussing bar types. One for parents of young kids, and one for adults who want a peaceful meal. Went to Princeton for a funeral and ended up dining at this Outback. It was nice and clean with a good atmosphere. Two of us ordered the prime rib and it came out dry. It was late evening so it may have been sitting for a while. We told our server and she could not have been any nicer or more helpful. We ordered sirloins and they were absolutely delicious. I was here a 2:00 in the afternoon, not busy. I waited 45 min after my steak was ordered and it comes out raw. They wanted to cook it more but once a steak cools and you re cook it looses it moisture and flavor. I then asked for a box for my blooming onion and she never brought it. So, when my steak came out lukewarm, was I surprised? When it took four tries to get one soft drink to our table, was I shocked? Haven't been to an Outback in years. The steak is much worse than it was back then. The Mac and cheese, which used to rock, is dry, and heavy, with poor texture. I didn't see the Morton Salt company's sponsorship logo on the menu, but the veggies were a hypertensive mess. The fried foods they shine on. Do I really need a high cal dipper next to the deep-fried, and very greasy, steak and macaroni bites? This is a roadside unit. The food was amazing and everything was perfect, i recently had my wisdom teeth removed and the food was so easy to eat. The service was beyond excellent kenzie served me and my mother and her and peyton are the nicest servers Ive had in the outback establishment she was so nice and she recommended the best chop salad for my mother and the house salad for me, it was truly an amazing night with her service. My waitress told the manager, whose name is Chad, and he proceeded to sit at another customer's table for over 30 minutes while my food was still incorrect. We ended up paying the bill and leaving. Worst experience in a restaurant in years. We waited at the door for around 15 min before we were even greeted to be sat. It was dead in the restaurant they were not busy at all. The host asked "would u like a booth or a table" we said a booth. She then says all she has is a high top table. So we agreed. Our server greeted us 15 min later and we got our drink order and food order in. Food came out in about another 15 min which is not too bad. We asked for our salads first and received them with the meal. My husband asked for his steak MW and it came out rare (the pic below). The salads were warm and old. It also had splashes of what I guess is BBQ. We asked to have the steak cooked up and the manager came and got the steak and never once apologized and it took about 12 min for the upcook to come out. I got the lobster Mac n cheese and there was a sprinkle of lobster on it. Not one piece of moist lobster. It was like they dried lobster and sprinkled it on top. This was some of the worst service we've ever had! The waitress was rude and ignorant. My mother said she was still working on her salad and the waitress took the plate. She had no courtesies and was short the whole time. The food was good but not great. My steak was a tad undercooked, (which is better than over cooked). The soup was watery.
