Where do I even begin with this total dump? We waited an hour and a half for our food. The place had like fucking 20 people including the staff. I heard a waiter mumble they were short staffed while she was scrolling on TikTok. The bathroom? Poop smeared on the walls. The floors were slicker than an oil spill. My buddy slipped halfway to the table and almost went to the hospital. The staff didn't even flinch, just kept not having a care in the world. The bartender was in another dimension. Ordered one beer. Got one warm one and a blank stare. Finally, the food: * Bloomin' Onion: Charcoal acting like an appetizer fried in motor oil. * Steaks: Ordered medium-perfect cook. Tasted like a hogs ass. Actually more bland. Had no flavor at all and was swimming in a puddle of what can only be described as sewage. Manager was a total jerk rude screaming freak! My poor disabled husband was so tired of waiting he went to the car and our food still wasn't there. Unfortunately, we did not receive three of our sides, including two we paid extra for. We stopped in for dinner on a busy Friday night. If you want to eat here on Friday or Saturday I would recommend getting here at 5:30 or earlier the restaurant fills up fast. The last time we tried to eat here we got here later and it was a 3 hour wait. Today we ate right in the bar area. The menu has some changes. The blooming onion is cheaper, but there is only the full onion. We ordered one for our appetizer. This is what the Outback is known for. The sauce is great with this. The onion was perfect as they use a sweet onion so it tastes great. The onion didn't bloom enough though and there was some raw breading in the center but I just ate the outside of my part of the onion. They had a new salmon item on the menu that sounded good. It was salmon with shrimp cooked in a Cajun butter sauce. It was very tasty as well but also quite rich. That with the onion and the oil really will fill you up. I knew the French onion soup here is also phenomenal. It did not disappoint. Finally I added creamed spinach. This item came out after our entrees as they said no lt many people order that side. I really liked the creamed spinach it was homemade and quite good. I enjoyed my meal but we did have to wait quite some time from the appetizer to the main course and for a while my drink needed a refill. Our waiter tried reall hard and did a good job of getting what we needed. The bar is probably more challenging as there are many tables in there and I am not sure how many of the wait staff were assigned. My favorite thing to get from Outback as an easy dinner is an order of cheesy fries, extra bacon. I'm not the biggest fan of cheese (I'm also lactose intolerant) and the bacon helps a lot in masking the cheesy flavor. In the past two weeks I've ordered delivery once from Door Dash and once from GrubHub, both times with extra bacon (that I pay extra for). Both times came without bacon. First order was too late for me to have them remake it, as they were close to closing. The second time (today) I called the store asking if they could remake my order, they said they would let the kitchen know. I drove 15 minutes there (with my broken car, which is why I do delivery) and they hadn't started remaking it, and nobody seems to know about me calling. So, I waited almost 30 minutes there, but I did find out that the takeout workers are the ones that put the extra toppings on the order once it's cooked by the kitchen. One of the kitchen managers talked to me, letting me know the takeout employee is new and probably doesn't know it's her job to add toppings. After waiting and waiting, the kitchen manager directly brings me the order, stating she added extra bacon AND extra cheese. Fast forward, there is an absolute insane amount of cheese, to where it's hard to even grab a fry. I understand I sound very picky, but I have a lot of issues with eating and food in general, and I'm disappointed that I couldn't just get what I originally ordered, and have ordered so, so many times from Outback. Toughest steak I have had in years! This was my first visit to the Muncie Outback. The steak was way to tough and I would have gotten another, but the only time the waiter (Lucas) came to our table was when ordering, and when he quickly laid the bill on the table and ran off! 2 other people brought out steaks and drinks. The girl needs some serious help. We came to the conclusion that we was going to leave due to her personal hygiene. I do not play about someone handling my food that is dirty looking and smells bad. I called in a take out order on the way to visit mom in Muncie. I ordered two 10oz rib eyes, baked potatoes with the fixings, and two side salads. I also ordered a bacon cheese burger with fries. To start off with, we love Outback Steakhouse. However, we rarely get to eat here due to my husband working away and myself having to stay home with our young kids. The food was amazing let me start off with this. However, the server was not much so. We had requested to sit outside because our children see another customer sitting out there with her children and it was a nice afternoon out. My biggest question is, if there is no server out there for the outside tables, how come there was a table out there eating and how come you all have tables out there? They were not busy when we got there so I am not understanding the reasoning of why we could not sit outside. I'm very sorry. We just ate and left. If it had been up to me, we wouldn't have ate there that day. However, my husband was in town for only a certain amount of time. Another issue is, our server has some issues that needs to be addressed. Her hair is nasty and plus we could smell her body odor! She had mucus running down her nose as she was at our table and I must say, it was not just normal allergy mucus. It had color to it. We were treated very well here after about a ten minute wait, although we called ahead for seating and it wasn't recorded, apparently. It was a busy Friday night and like everywhere, they were a little short of help, so it was a little while before being greeted at our bar table and ordering drinks and app. Everything came out from the kitchen in good order, but my husband's steak was more med-rare than med-well. We weren't going to complain, but a new manager came over and after chatting cordially, we confessed a couple things were off. in the last week Came into the restaurant at 6 they were not busy at all ordered a blooming pedal then ordered our food our awesome waiter came to us and said I apologize the blooming pedals are not out yet and told his Manger about it then we got our food and I asked to speak to Manger about where the blooming pedals was and he said he would tell him. I have to tell you all about the service and beautiful food we consumed at "Outback Steakhouse" In Muncie Indiana. My wife and I have a love of going to "Outback" here in there. We are sort of in love with everything that they make and we never really been disappointed that much by any problem it's come forward Outback is so good about taking care of the clientele. We had a wonderful inspiration to travel to Muncie and check it out, not really thinking about What we would have to eat. Because both of us are cooks we wanted to talk to people who do powder real cheeses and various types of foods. I will do a report about that also and another review. When we finished our business, we were thinking of types of foods that we might have a taste for and we were driving when my wife (the succulent Anna), Spotted the "Outback Steakhouse " and I didn't take much conversation for me to agree! (I do most everything my Anna wants and I recommend every man does the same) When we arrived we parked really close to the front door (which was kind of shocking) and we went in to find a beautiful aroma wafting through the air as well as a smiling faced greeter. We asked for a table chairs and the crew took us immediately to a lovely table away from the noise so, we could have a nice conversation and discuss things, from our trip to Muncie. We love reading menus so we did run our eyes over the menu for quite some time. The server came up and asked if we had a drink in mind? Our special drink order is always a "virgin strawberry daiquiri" when we go to this franchise so we gave that order and told her we would be ready to order when she came back. Now we've had a lot of these strawberry daiquiris! Because, this restaurant is one of our favorites!So, when the waitress returned with our drinks they were so beautifully made, so much they look like the picture! I'm talking about the picture on the commercial or something they were just fabulous and tasted lovely and fresh! So,we gave our orders to her and sipped gently on our daiquiris whilst dreaming that this ambrosia was never enduringly and always available forever! We always have to place the order of the blooming onion and that may seem cliché, but, dog gone it, it is delicious! Especially if you tell them not to overcook it a little insider information! It gets you a very fresh and new specially sliced for you dipped for you and cooked like 5 minutes less, giving it a crunch at the tip but the rest is cooked nicely. After that our salads came I always have the wedge of iceberg lettuce you cannot be there anywhere it, anywhere! And we always have the coconut shrimp (fantastic) appetizer then the food is just overwhelming yummy We ask the bread be served with our entree not with the appetizers, (another hint). Everything came in a beautifully and interestingly platting, they served or vegetables on a long rectangle tray so, we had all three of the vegetables to share. Cool! And our main courses of our entrée was served separately and very nicely. Since you know me you know I love prime rib, and that's the thing I always get at this restaurant Franchise . But oh my goodness! It was just sumptuous! And my wife Anna was absolutely overjoyed with her delicious order. She tried the "Alice Springs Chicken". She said she has a new favorite and will order that dish the next time we go there! At the end we were just so stuffed that we couldn't hardly move. So we decided to skip dessert and vowed to never to eat prime rib anywhere else but Outback. The place was clean it was elegant and it was above and beyond fantastic! I highly recommend "Outback Steakhouse's" to anyone wanting a delicious and beautiful meal. So far, in Florida or here in Indiana every Outback Steakhouse has been wonderful and somehow original! By the way, if you go there for lunch. You will be very surprised at what your money will get you! I had the chance to browse their lunch menu on my way out and I was kind of shocked! They do have their own codes by the way cuts we're not used to in this country but they chose them because they're good for Americans! The waitress that took care of those brought us about 6 inches of these newer cuts just to taste were going home so while it was still hot we were in the car, but the pieces have been prepped for us being in route for home she put toothpicks in them we decided to try one each well they were warm and well and behold what flavor and buttery soft texture, don't be afraid to try something new just because you don't see any fat or marbling! This was fantastic and you know what? I'll be glad to go there for lunch and have that as my order. The next time someone says they like to go to outback steakhouse, go! Outback Steakhouse has an app and if you choose to pay with it then you will accrue points! Once you receive three of these points you get a tremendous bonus when you going to eat. read more
