I will include the picture of what it describes as including. And then I will also include the picture of what I got, which is not the same. Arugula? Nah, have some iceberg lettuce. And have the butt of the iceberg lettuce while you're at it. You wanted your steak pink in the middle? Well how about tough like the bottom of a leather shoe? Hope you like it, cause that's what you're getting! Zero blue cheese, zero bacon crumbles, zero pepitas. The steak really is inedible, and it cost $22. The food, service, and of course decor is the same at this outback as all the others. It is no better, but no worse. The servers and staff are very friendly and accomodating, but the food is nothing to write home about. Being on the road as much as I am, Outback is usually consistent with food quality and service. When I'm not in the mood for any kind of surprise, but need a solid meal, it's - Outback here I come. read more

Today is Valentine's Day and they had the audacity to serve me this Bottom of the Barrel Food, This Supposed to be BLOOMING ONION looks like it was scraped out of the bottom of a Fryer . My salad had old lettuce and baked potatoes were hard. Im so sick to my stomach. I can't believe the cook looked at this bs and thought it was ok to serve. like wtf. Incredible service, our waitress was top notch. Appetizer was good, got Bloomerangs. I ordered a 13oz ribeye for myself and got the most miserable cut of meat I've seen. I ordered medium rare. It was Overcooked due it being so thin, yet hardly any sear. Just gray all over. Wife ordered a burger well done. It was closer to raw than medium.... Come one guys. Went to Outback on Sunday evening 12/29/2014 @ about 630 pm. It was very cold in the restaurant we immediately asked if they could do anything about it they sure we will make it warmer. A little latter we asked again and received the same response. We ordered appetizers and drinks and also place our order. The appetizers and drinks arrived in a normal time frame, then our steaks arrived. No salads. After the arrival of the steaks then the salads came, which we returned. It continued to be freezing in there to the point our steaks were cold and the plates were freezing. As we asked about the ac again we were then told it had to be kept that cold because otherwise the floors would get to slippery to walk on. I travel a lot but this city is a place that I consider home. While here visiting, a birthday was celebrated here with a very large party. I'm happy they managed to assist everyone along with providing exceptional food quality. I enjoyed my dishes of course. The steak was amazing with the ....Toowomba sauce I believe it's called? It's not on the online menus so I can't give the exact spelling but you'll see it and know what I'm trying to spell as soon as you look on steak mates (if it's served in your city). The Ahi was my starter and it was very flavorful and the ginger sauce pairing was amazing. I could have eaten it and been finished. I tried my best , but I had to have the bread with the honey butter as well. Never disappoints Haha. Only take away were my servers. They were kind and patient but they had a really bad habit of reaching over the diners with any and all plates and glasses. I had to help one by indicating they could just come around to me so they prevent any spills while trying to refill my water. Another waiter short me in my change (it was only a dollar), by using a round up method but I gave them exact change so it wouldn't be an issue. It just made me a little uneasy because it was a huge party... if you schimmel a little off each person in the party... Idk... moving on...(I may slick have trust issues lol) I will say that the bus boy Willie was AWESOME!!! IF YOU COME THERE AND HE IS WORKING, BE SURE TO TIP HIM!!!! He takes his job so seriously and cleans his tables like no ones business. To help spot him, he is a skinny guy, dread headed, wears glasses. His work ethic should be a staple there. (No I don't know him from a hole in the wall but I just noticed how fast he would get the tables available and how clean they were when he was done). We stopped by during a family trip to NOLA. I was surprisingly positively pleased by the ambiance, comfort, professionality of the staff, and how well the food was. I enjoyed all the food. I love Outback....this one was a horrible experience. Long drive home, stopped to order steak to take to my hotel room. Medium steak, overcooked and chewy. Well if you look at my last review it was raving but here lately it has gone completely 180 last prime rib I had was over cooked and they put my wife's garlic herb butter on it instead of here steak and now last night we stopped and ordered the porterhouse steak to split between us and it was over cooked and sent it back so the second one did not even come out our waiter said they over cooked it also so we paid for our drinks and left hunger now is that a shame or what they can't even pay attention to the second steak and we eat here every other week or should I say you did in the past now I think we will be going to Login's Steak House from now on even tho we have the DINE IN REWARDS member just a shame because I was just bragging on them being better then a $$$ restaurant guess I stand corrected photos not even worth showing :-( read more

After a wait time debacle at nearby Logan's Roadhouse, Outback saved the evening! Started with a reported 30 minute wait time that ended up only being 15! Our waitress was punctual, friendly and checked on us often. The restaurant itself was clean and orderly, bathrooms were as well. We ordered a filet and a ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly and the sides were done well as well. Only food "issue" we could say we had was my wife's baked potato soup was a little more like, well, a baked potato, minus the soup, lol! But that's being pretty picky for an "end of the night" dining experience. For being in a small town in Mississippi, this Outback did just a well as any of the ones that I have been in in much larger towns / cities. read more

Used there phone app to order for curbside pickup. Wife picked up the order because it was my birthday and she was trying to do something nice. When she got home both potatoes were missing , strawberry salad was missing among a few other minor things. App has a direct line to call for order issues , called 5 times with no answer. It's a great place to eat in Meridian. Family style restaurant and has a bar too. Parking available around the restaurant . Great for steaks, but the quality depends who is in the kitchen. The quality of the steak is not consistent. Crab cakes are average, not much crab lump in it. Tilapia is good, occasionally it is too salty. Chicken tortilla soup is excellent. Male bartender with beard very disappointing and disorganized. When you order a refill on a alcoholic beverage it should get filled. Instead he was busy doing single tasks over and over versus cleaning plates, refilling drinks etc. the other staff members didn't do anything to help like clear plates. The last two times I ordered from outback the potato was dry as a bone and I ordered a grill chicken salad for 11.99 there might have been 2 oz of chicken over cooked and maybe enough lettuce for a side salad and bagged lettuce on top of that . Very accommodating to where we wanted to sit. The manager, Harrison, was very attentive and sweet. He stopped by every table to check to make sure every one was doing okay and had what they needed. The steak was AMAZING. We got the Porterhouse and didn't even need any steak sauce. That is very rare for me. Even well done it was juicy! (Was a little pink but tender!) Top notch!! We had an early dinner on a Friday night. Immediately, we were seated by a very kind hostess. In no time, our precious waitress was at our table taking our drink and appetizer order. We quickly had our bread and butter and our appetizer. Our delicious meals were soon to follow. Our drinks never got empty. We went for Christmas. Party of 7 adults and 1 six year old. I never did find a kids menu but the waitress suggested a kids burger. Ordered burger and Mac and cheese. Three people got their orders 20 minutes before everyone else. Child had to wait and got fries instead then had to wait on Mac and cheese. Steaks (porter house) got mixed up I got well done and my dad got medium. Food was ok but not their best. We went at 4 o'clock so there would not be any problems with crowds. Location in Meridian was pretty good. Service was great!! Cheese fries were good, but VERY overpriced for what you got. Paid over $10 for a plate of fries with bacon and cheese on it and then had to pay an extra amount to get enough bacon and cheese on the fries to make it feel like it's not just a $10 plate of French fries. I find this in any Outback location not just this one. (I have stopped ordering the fries, but had a weak moment.) read more
