Not sure what happened to the quality of Outback that I remembered from back in the day but I'm convinced that it's gone! It wasn't good the last time we came but with convincing (a gift card) we tried it again but the steak was low quality and the grilled shrimp were so over seasoned that they tasted like what licking a Slap your Momma's shaker would taste like. The top shelf margarita was delicious & the beer was cold! Our waiter, Tim was awesome! VERY attentive and friendly. Don't use delivery! My family and I made the mistake of having our dinner Door Dashed to us tonight. Unfortunately, several items were missing from our order. When key parts of the meal don't arrive, it really takes away from the experience. We were missing the shrimp and seasoned rice, and both of the lobster tails (which are quite expensive) arrived completely cold. The loaded mashed potatoes were also cold and lacked the usual quality we've come to expect when dining in at the restaurant. The convenience of delivery doesn't make up for food that's missing or served below standard. Very disappointing overall. read more

Those were not good and French fries were cold. The chicken fingers tasted like the oil was old. The manger came over after we paid and bill and asked if everything was alright and we told him. We were greeted and seated quickly, but was told they fryers were down meaning nothing fried could be ordered, we got our drinks, and was waiting for bread, which we were told that they didn't have due to not being able to warm, however we saw many tables able to receive bread, I think after our server noticed, we were brought bread. The salmon was moist and had very good flavor, and the filet with shrimp was very good, the sweet potato went very well. They did well with the fryer being down, but the issue with the bread was concerning, difficult to say you don't have it when others are being served it. The chili was good also. read more

Today we went to Lafayette outback's and had the best waitress Felicia. We had the shrimp appetizers and wow so good... definitely will do them again. That was the beginning of a delicious delightful dinner. We had the Tuesday tails and the lobster was large and delicious in that butter. Yum! Our steak was perfect size and cut like a sirloin. Little gristle, but tender... perfection of the way we asked it to be cooked. We enjoy their bread too much, so we had to take our dessert home. Hehe! The dessert was so good! Impressive evening the minute we walked in. The restaurant is, as all Outback's, warm and inviting. The hostess was welcoming and seated us immediately. Our server, Thomas, was friendly and had that great Southern hospitality which helped make our evening most enjoyable. We each started off with their Smoked Old Fashioned...wonderful! Mark ordered their three item special which included as well two sides and I, the two filet medallions with choice of vegetable and any type of steak potatoes. I chose baked potato with the works. I went there around 8pm o a Friday with my wife and kids after driving for 6 hours, so we weren't expecting much. The service wasn't bad by the hostess that greeted us and sat us down but the server as ok and food was awful. I ordered a Moscow Mule which had so much mint it tasted like toothpaste. I e honestly never had a mule with mint...it's not good. For the meals, our kids steaks were extremely overcooked to the point that they couldn't chew them. My steak was supposed to be medium rare and it was basically rare. My wife's steak was also severely undercooked. Lastly, as I was waiting to ask to have the steaks cooked a little harder, I kept smelling this pungent smell. I thought it was the seats or something until my son stated his vegetables were disgusting. So I took a bite without paying attention and realized that the pungant smell were his vegetables and they were likely spoiled. We nearly threw up at the table. Due to us about to throw up, I asked for the check and paid. I left a tip because I know the economy is rough and I didnt want the server to suffer from the fault of the cook, but the meal was absolutely the worst meal I've ever had. I thought so, the wife said send it back, but they probably nuked it the first time, really didn't want it nuked again......that would have made it tough......now the service, I believed she won the award for the least amount of words ever spoken by someone that was "waiting" on me.....someone needs to train the servers to make the customer feel appreciated. I go to outback's all over when I'm traveling for work. They are usually consistent with quality. I have been to this Outback in Lafayette many times, and I like it, but I always go for dinner. Today, I went to the Outback next to my hotel for lunch. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Sounds good, right? Prime rib with melted cheese on French bread. How can you go wrong?!? Well, I was expecting too much. I though that I would get a sandwich stuffed with beautiful prime rib chunks or medallions. Not quite. The meat looked like ground up pieces of thinly sliced roast beef. If there were three ounces of it on there, I would be surprised. It was more like a gravy sandwich with prime rib sprinkles rather than the opposite. Since I do find them very consistent, I will not be having this sandwich at Outback anywhere else ever again. We went there for family lunch yesterday. I ordered a steak Medium little pink in the middle and shrimp dinner my streak came out Rare uncooked in the center send it back lost my appetite. Told the server to make it to go I had appointment and had to leave . The server said the manager would bring it out. The server brought it out and I went home to eat it for dinner. Okay I let that slide. The potato was super dry and barely had any toppings (for entire potato), and the ceaser salad was totally DRENCHED in Caesar dressing making it uneatable. I'm so upset that I gave outback another shot after years of not going.. it's trash and that's where my money went because I left literallY all my food. Me, my wife and my in-laws came into this establishment on 5/30/24 and when entering the place was very well kept up. The host greeted us as soon as we walked in. As he sat us at the table he let us know who our server was. She came and greeted herself and asked us did we needed anything to drink even offering us the LTO drink the croctail. To make a long story short I am a kitchen manager for Outback steakhouse in Alexandria and the Managing Partner Mr. Harold and his staff at this location is amazing. I would recommend everyone to go check this location. If I could give 10 stars I would. my experience today(5/12/24 } was amazing. I was so expressed how organize it was today our server Kaylan was wonderful she kept checking in on us . I was expressed how well servers bus boy and the ones that brings the food out works well together. I saw a young lady pick up trash on the floor now days that speaks volume especially when that's not their job. On the road for business and I needed a hot meal for my wife, son and I. Went here because it was just down the street from our hotel. Bloomin Onion came out overdone. Odd they screwed up their signature item, but it was edible. Salad delivered to my wife followed up by a duplicate salad delivered to my wife by our waitress. Odd, but we overlooked it. Meal comes out and my wife's medium rare steak is not only burnt on one side (or as our waitress identified it as "char") but rare... very rare. Inedible. My wife never sends food back but was forced to. My son's burger was so burnt he would only eat half... and he eats anything. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Ugh. Tasted like overcooked meat. Not juicy, not good. Lots more to add but the kicker was when my wife's new steak was delivered, by who we assumed was the manager, it was cooked the same way as the first one. Rare as rare can be. My wife just told the manager it was fine. No apology from the manager and seemingly not too concerned that his kitchen can't cook a steak to medium rare. Our waitress kindly took it off of our bill. When "Steakhouse" is in your name and you can't cook a mouthwatering steak (or a burger or baked potato or a Bloomin Onion) correctly, it's time to get a new crew. read more

Terrible service and terrible food at this location!! I visited this location once before a couple of years ago while in town for work and had a bad experience but finally decided to try it again. My Bleu Cheese Chopped Salad arrived in a smaller than usual plate with NO Bleu Cheese crumbles. I asked the server and was told there was Bleu Cheese salad dressing on it and if I wanted crumbles they would bring me some. My sweet potato was so undercooked that I couldn't pierce it with a fork, they server finally came over and took it back (when I was half way through my tasteless steak) and returned 5 minutes later with another uncooked sweet potato. I didn't touch the second potato at all after I discovered it was still raw and left it on the table just as the server left it. She came back at the end of the meal, took away the plates and the uneaten and untouched potato and never said one word about it. I went here on a date last night, and it was great! We walked in, and at first, I didn't think I would like it because the host looked like he didn't want to be there, but he was probably tired. We sat down, and our waiter went above and beyond to make sure our meal was correct and to our liking. After dinner, we're waiting for the check, and we see another guy sweeping and cleaning tables but get this. He was using his phone's flashlight to make sure he didn't miss ANYTHING; no smudges were on the floor or table after he was done. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more
