The last 3 times we've been, we've asked for a table or half table/half booth. Each time, we've been told that there were none available, and yet some sat open. This time, the booth back had something dried on it and the menu I received was filthy and should be discarded. Never Again! We bought 3 entrees and 1 appetizer to go and there were problems with each one. Hamburger was ordered well done and was so raw nothing in the container could be saved. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, so that should have been a sign for us to not eat here. We had a group of 7 and were able to get a good idea on the quality of food. I started with the Boomarita (which was a flight of margaritas). All were super sweet and I couldn't taste any tequila. 2 of the 4 were so sweet and nasty that I couldn't even drink them. We shared the Bloomin Onion and no one liked it. The server highly recommended the Filet Shelia (not good) and the sauce on top looked like puke. Several guests had the Alice Springs Chicken (average). The baked potato soup also looked like puke. Me and my husband went there on valentine's. All restaurant business were very busy. We had a wait time of 10 minutes but we were seated in soon. My servers name was Kenzy I guess. I love outback's steaks and martini. Like I said business was busy. But my server made my experience so bad that I left that place. She forgot to bring my drink, had to remind her 10 times. My husband's second drink and my 1st one came together. The guy who was bring iur food out droped my spoon and didn't bother to pick it up or bring new one. When I told my server to get me new spoon, after 5 minutes she got me fork and knife for spoon I told her I wanted spoon !!! She took another 10 minutes, she was going to 2 other table next to us every 2 minutes but she didn't bother to bring my spoon I even saw her standing and doing nth in between finally she came to our table to check if everything was fine, till then I was really upset, i told her with my straight face that I was still waiting on my spoon. After 3 minutes my spoon is there but my soup was cold. I didn't have appetite any more after that. She aaked us if I want entree when I said no she got our check in less than 1 min lol where there was food and drink on our table.We paid and left immediately. Moved to Arkansas a few months ago from Texas. Wanted to go to one of our favorite places for dinner. I ordered the 12 oz prime rib, well done. As it has happened about 50% of the time, it was blatantly undercooked, so it went back and the manager brought it back out after it was cooked a little more. No mention of compensation for the error by the manager and none reflected on the check when it was received. I asked the server if it is not customary for them compensate the customers when their orders aren't correct. He asked me if the order was not correct and my response was, yes, after it had to be corrected... Bottom line, the customers compensation for their screw ups is correcting your order... nothing else. read more

Don't you think if I wanted to cook my own steak, I would have? The only remedy I had was the microwave which obviously killed any chance it had left of being good. The only reason I'm not giving it a 0 is because it doesn't give that option. My daughter in law took me here for my birthday lunch today and it was a horrible experience. We were seated next to the bar. It took our waiter an hour to return to get our meal order after they brought out a grease drenched burnt blooming onion. We asked for a napkin and only received one after our meal arrived. The steaks were not prepared as we ordered them, the mashed potatoes were dry and cloying, and my creamed spinach was watery with uncooked spinach. We were never asked how our food was and we had to listen to the bartender/waiter complain to other patrons about how some of the other customers had complained about their meal and mixed drinks. This place is close to our house and we stopped in for the first time ever last Friday. Was seated nearly immediately, which was awesome! Waited a little while for a server, she showed up, took our drink order and....we waited a while to see her again. Placed our order, drinks arrived 10 minutes later! Food came a short while later. I had ordered the deluxe filet with crabmeat on top, and when it was delivered, I had to hunt for the crabmeat. It just didn't seem like enough: it was only 4-6 small pieces sprinkled like parsley on top of my filet! When I asked the server about it, 15 minutes later (when she finally returned to check on our meal), I asked about the quantity of crab meat (which I had saved to the side to show her). Her response, "yeah, it's small. That's a normal portion for the filet you got. If you want, I can ask for more?" At that point, I had spent $30 on my filet, alone. $30. I could have bought a pair of shoes for that much, but instead, I spent it on a tiny piece of meat, and sprinkles of crabmeat atop like a decoration. I told her, if she had come by earlier, I would have taken her up on the offer. As it was, I was 3/4 of the way done with my filet, so, thanks but no thanks. The manager stopped by to refill my husband's water glass for about 1/2 sec. Couldn't even get his attention to discuss my issue with the filet and the crabmeat. He was courting a local police officer that had stopped in for a bite to eat at the bar. The way the manager was fawning all over the officer, and couldn't be bothered to talk to other patrons....? Really? Why didn't the server come back sooner? Why didn't the server tell the manager to stop in? Why didn't the manager stop by to see how the experience was? Why am I having to point out that the amount of crabmeat offered on a $30 plate of food is truly a rip-off? My husband was satisfied with what he ate. Our son was satisfied with his kids plate. I was satisfied with the taste of the food, just wish it were a better value for the spend. This evening set us back about $88 for two adults and a child, and no alcohol. We would like to go back, but will definitely avoid the spending traps set up on the menu. Simple rule I failed to follow once again. If you don't like how you are treated at the door, leave, it won't get better. First time at this Outback location and first time to enter an Outback at 7pm on a Saturday night and only have two parties ahead of us. Kept trying to give my name to the hostess who simply was not going to talk to me until I signed the book for the private club. When I walked over to sign it she got exasperated because she needed my name. Duh lady you wouldn't shut up and let me give it to you. Ordered drinks from our waiter and the one person ordering water recieved a glass that appeared to be full of sea monkeys. Waiter was a bit scattered but attentive and helpful and quickly corrected the problem. I initially declined a salad or other second side item but ordered a "tossed salad" when another server brought out the salads. She sneered "You mean a house salad?" I suppose her prior experience was in fast food telling people they don't have small just medium. Despite that lovely exchange, it was quickly delivered and greens were fresh and the blue cheese dressing was very good. Tried the Caesar salad of a dining companion and the anchovy gave it more fish flavor than tangy flavor. When the food arrived general disappointment. Seared tuna tasted not quite old but certainly not fresh. NY Strip was not a high grade cut and had more gristle than you should expect and a string of somthing (fat? tendon?) running through much of it. The steak was heavily over seasoned compared to my experience at other Outback locations. My medium rare was actually medium which isn't a problem for me but another at our table ordered the Victoria medium and it did get the medium rare treatment. With the exception of our waiter the customer service experience was disappointing. I felt we had to be on the defensive against people who confuse snotty with high end service. More importantly the food simply was not to the level of other locations within the chain. read more

Disappointed this go-round. This was my 6oz filet and wimpy backed potato. What an appetizing presentation. The steak was cooked correctly, but we were so grossed out by the ROTTEN potato my husband found in his baked potato soup that it was hard to enjoy the rest of the meal. I waited to eat my salad for 10 minutes waiting on silverware and when I get finally get to it, there was hardly any dressing. A disappointing meal for the $75 we spent. We eat at Outback Steakhouse a couple times a week usually. We use the pick up service and eat in the restaurant. The order more times than not is messed up. Today, they did not include the grilled chicken with the Aussie Grilled Chicken salad. They only sent the salad. I called up there, waited on hold for about 5 minutes and was disconnected. I called back and they said I needed to talk to a manager about this but the manager never came to the phone. After more than 11 minutes of just holding on the phone line, I hung up. Tonight I decided to give them another try with my wife. Her blooming fried chicken came out way over cooked. The crust was inedible. I ordered a ribeye medium well. It was charred beyond belief on the outside. Inside was medium well but you couldn't taste it for the charr. I know I will never be back and I would recommend no one else eat there either if you want quality food for the price. There are plenty of other places to eat in Jonesboro. The only reason this place is getting a 2 is because the waiter was top notch. He was from Memphis filling in. First I'll start with, when I called to find out hours the lady was very rude. She wasn't pleasant upon arrival either. She actually would cut us off in mid sentence while trying to place our drink order. Never smiled and had the attitude of not wanting to be there. Once again, the waiter himself was top notch! We placed our appetizer order for the blooming onion. It was so grease logged when it came out. When our meals cane out one of the burgers was ordered medium and came out rare. Looked like the cow was still mooing. Sent it back and it came back the same way. Still cool in the middle. So we gave up on it. Another plate there were 2 hairs in the fries. The manager said it was prolly facial hair. The Philly cheesesteak was really good and so was the Mac and cheese. My family & I eat here at least once a week and there is nothing on the menu that hasn't been good. If by chance something isn't right....which is rare, the manager or assistant is right on top of it to make sure you are happy before you leave. We have lots of other friends who are regulars too.
