I'm not sure the bad reviews here. The wife and I came here for dinner to celebrate and we were seated promptly and the service was polite. I ordered the 8oz fillet with lobster tails and she had a burger and fries. Our food was very good and we would be willing to go back. We were there at a non-rush time so the ambience was very quiet and welcoming. read more

Outback Steakhouse - 8oz Fillet and Steamed Lobster Tails, and two baked sweet potatoes - Steakhouses Near Me - Jonesboro, Arkansas

The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, so that should have been a sign for us to not eat here. We had a group of 7 and were able to get a good idea on the quality of food. I started with the Boomarita (which was a flight of margaritas). All were super sweet and I couldn't taste any tequila. 2 of the 4 were so sweet and nasty that I couldn't even drink them. We shared the Bloomin Onion and no one liked it. The server highly recommended the Filet Shelia (not good) and the sauce on top looked like puke. Several guests had the Alice Springs Chicken (average). The baked potato soup also looked like puke. Overall, I'd rate this Outback location as below average for food and above average for service. read more

Tonight we ordered the medallion steak with peppers and onions, a shrimp and steak with loaded baked potato, a side garden salad, and blooming onions. The shrimp were cold and the loaded baked potato came with no toppings. The portion size for the medallion steak resembled something from a children's menu. But, the broccoli was hot and tasty and the order was completed by the suggested time. read more

Never Again! We bought 3 entrees and 1 appetizer to go and there were problems with each one. Hamburger was ordered well done and was so raw nothing in the container could be saved. Shells in the shrimp and the parts that were edible were far from par. It's getting 1 star because I can't post 0. read more

It was veterans day evening and i dined in to get my 6oz steak. The server was very rude since its supposed tk be a free meal and took super long even though it wasnt all too busy. He then just dropped off the to go box and didnt say a word at all to us. For everything ive done for this country. This is the service i get back. Thanks outback read more

The last 3 times we've been, we've asked for a table or half table/half booth. Each time, we've been told that there were none available, and yet some sat open. This time, the booth back had something dried on it and the menu I received was filthy and should be discarded. Overall, the waitstaff are great and the food is good, but the host(ess) stand needs work. Made my normal request and was told they only had booths. This is my view from my seat. Why is it so hard to get table seating? read more

The food received was really good. Steak cooked as ordered and ready for pick up on time. Only issue I had was I paid $2.99 extra for loaded mashed potatoes. When got order home, found they had sent a baked potato. I called and they're supposed to be sending me a gift card to cover the cost. read more

Me and my husband went there on valentine's. All restaurant business were very busy. We had a wait time of 10 minutes but we were seated in soon. My servers name was Kenzy I guess. I love outback's steaks and martini. Like I said business was busy. But my server made my experience so bad that I left that place. She forgot to bring my drink, had to remind her 10 times. My husband's second drink and my 1st one came together. The guy who was bring iur food out droped my spoon and didn't bother to pick it up or bring new one. When I told my server to get me new spoon, after 5 minutes she got me fork and knife for spoon I told her I wanted spoon !!! She took another 10 minutes, she was going to 2 other table next to us every 2 minutes but she didn't bother to bring my spoon I even saw her standing and doing nth in between finally she came to our table to check if everything was fine, till then I was really upset, i told her with my straight face that I was still waiting on my spoon. After 3 minutes my spoon is there but my soup was cold. I didn't have appetite any more after that. She aaked us if I want entree when I said no she got our check in less than 1 min lol where there was food and drink on our table. We paid and left immediately. She also asked if we wanted our change back, without even looking inside how were we paying. She looked like she didn't want to be there. Complete ignored me and my husband we came home empty stomach . Never going back bc of her read more

Stopped here for lunch and really regret it. Worst chicken sandwich I've ever had. Fast food would be better. Also ordered burgers and seafood dish....awful. To make matters worse, the prices were high end! Avoid this place! read more

Moved to Arkansas a few months ago from Texas. Wanted to go to one of our favorite places for dinner. I ordered the 12 oz prime rib, well done. As it has happened about 50% of the time, it was blatantly undercooked, so it went back and the manager brought it back out after it was cooked a little more. No mention of compensation for the error by the manager and none reflected on the check when it was received. I asked the server if it is not customary for them compensate the customers when their orders aren't correct. He asked me if the order was not correct and my response was, yes, after it had to be corrected... Bottom line, the customers compensation for their screw ups is correcting your order... nothing else. read more

Ordered delivery, 11oz sirloin, baked potato, fresh steamed veggies. Well does this look like a steak cooked medium to you? It was rare and bloody. Don't you think if I wanted to cook my own steak, I would have? The only remedy I had was the microwave which obviously killed any chance it had left of being good. Outback couldn't even do a baked potato right. It was hardly cooked; hard and inedible. And fresh steamed veggies? Some zucchini and carrots cooked completely beyond recognition into a pile of mush. TOTAL GARBAGE! read more

Amazing service and food I had forgot how good the blooming onion was! It was the first time in over three years séance I been to one!

The service was fine given covid, but just absolutely no excuse for how terrible the food was. Every single meal we ordered turned out horribly. Even a hamburger! To think this place remains while covid is taking so many smaller better restaurants is borderline treason. read more

My husband and I decided to have our date night at outback, called ahead and was told a 20 minute wait. She took our info and added us to the waitlist. After waiting 30 minutes for them call we decided to go in to show face. She couldn't find us on the waitlist. She informed us we could sit at a the bar or wait 30 more minutes. Very unprofessional. read more

Food was good, service was great. They had it so cold in there couldn't enjoy a nice expensive dinner. Butter for the lobster came out nice and warm for the lobster but ended up getting like a paste from the temp being so cold. read more

The only reason I'm not giving it a 0 is because it doesn't give that option. My daughter in law took me here for my birthday lunch today and it was a horrible experience. We were seated next to the bar. It took our waiter an hour to return to get our meal order after they brought out a grease drenched burnt blooming onion. We asked for a napkin and only received one after our meal arrived. The steaks were not prepared as we ordered them, the mashed potatoes were dry and cloying, and my creamed spinach was watery with uncooked spinach. We were never asked how our food was and we had to listen to the bartender/waiter complain to other patrons about how some of the other customers had complained about their meal and mixed drinks. Needless to say this is the last trip my family or I will be making to Outback in Jonesboro. read more

$100.00 WASTED!!! Will grill steaks at home before we ever drive 90 miles to Outback!! Blooming Onion looked and tasted like it has been cooked earlier because it was almost burnt and was way to crunchy. Prime Rib had so much gristle that by the time it was all cut off it looked like a filet. read more

By far the worst outback ever. All of my food was definitely made yesterday or possibly days ago. Had a salad, baked potato, Alice Springs chicken and bread. Not a single thing was fresh read more

Will be the last time I ever eat here. The service is slow and clunky, but the real problem is the food and drink. The beers aren't cold, the salads have WAY too much dressing on them, anything fried is WAY OVERCOOKED and the quality of meat is subpar. They probably need new mgmt and some serious retraining...absolutely awful. read more

After a tiring and long day, I ordered pick up from Outback. Simple rule I failed to follow once again. If you don't like how you are treated at the door, leave, it won't get better. First time at this Outback location and first time to enter an Outback at 7pm on a Saturday night and only have two parties ahead of us. Kept trying to give my name to the hostess who simply was not going to talk to me until I signed the book for the private club. When I walked over to sign it she got exasperated because she needed my name. Duh lady you wouldn't shut up and let me give it to you. Ordered drinks from our waiter and the one person ordering water recieved a glass that appeared to be full of sea monkeys. Waiter was a bit scattered but attentive and helpful and quickly corrected the problem. I initially declined a salad or other second side item but ordered a "tossed salad" when another server brought out the salads. She sneered "You mean a house salad?" I suppose her prior experience was in fast food telling people they don't have small just medium. Despite that lovely exchange, it was quickly delivered and greens were fresh and the blue cheese dressing was very good. Tried the Caesar salad of a dining companion and the anchovy gave it more fish flavor than tangy flavor. When the food arrived general disappointment. Seared tuna tasted not quite old but certainly not fresh. NY Strip was not a high grade cut and had more gristle than you should expect and a string of somthing (fat? tendon?) running through much of it. The steak was heavily over seasoned compared to my experience at other Outback locations. My medium rare was actually medium which isn't a problem for me but another at our table ordered the Victoria medium and it did get the medium rare treatment. With the exception of our waiter the customer service experience was disappointing. I felt we had to be on the defensive against people who confuse snotty with high end service. More importantly the food simply was not to the level of other locations within the chain. read more

This place is close to our house and we stopped in for the first time ever last Friday. Was seated nearly immediately, which was awesome! Waited a little while for a server, she showed up, took our drink order and....we waited a while to see her again. Placed our order, drinks arrived 10 minutes later! Food came a short while later. I had ordered the deluxe filet with crabmeat on top, and when it was delivered, I had to hunt for the crabmeat. It just didn't seem like enough: it was only 4-6 small pieces sprinkled like parsley on top of my filet! When I asked the server about it, 15 minutes later (when she finally returned to check on our meal), I asked about the quantity of crab meat (which I had saved to the side to show her). Her response, "yeah, it's small. That's a normal portion for the filet you got. If you want, I can ask for more?" At that point, I had spent $30 on my filet, alone. $30. I could have bought a pair of shoes for that much, but instead, I spent it on a tiny piece of meat, and sprinkles of crabmeat atop like a decoration. I told her, if she had come by earlier, I would have taken her up on the offer. As it was, I was 3/4 of the way done with my filet, so, thanks but no thanks. The manager stopped by to refill my husband's water glass for about 1/2 sec. Couldn't even get his attention to discuss my issue with the filet and the crabmeat. He was courting a local police officer that had stopped in for a bite to eat at the bar. The way the manager was fawning all over the officer, and couldn't be bothered to talk to other patrons....? Really? Why didn't the server come back sooner? Why didn't the server tell the manager to stop in? Why didn't the manager stop by to see how the experience was? Why am I having to point out that the amount of crabmeat offered on a $30 plate of food is truly a rip-off? My husband was satisfied with what he ate. Our son was satisfied with his kids plate. I was satisfied with the taste of the food, just wish it were a better value for the spend. This evening set us back about $88 for two adults and a child, and no alcohol. We would like to go back, but will definitely avoid the spending traps set up on the menu. This seems like a decent place to get a decent meal, with good food, I'm hoping this was just a fluke. read more

Disappointed this go-round. This was my 6oz filet and wimpy backed potato. What an appetizing presentation. The steak was cooked correctly, but we were so grossed out by the ROTTEN potato my husband found in his baked potato soup that it was hard to enjoy the rest of the meal. I waited to eat my salad for 10 minutes waiting on silverware and when I get finally get to it, there was hardly any dressing. A disappointing meal for the $75 we spent. We could always couldn't on outback for a lovely meal, but not anymore. This one just doesn't have the same standards. Who knowingly put a rotten potato in to cook? Gross. read more

Terrible food! You really do get a taste of Australia. My meal must have been cooked in Australia, shipped to Arkansas, reheated and served to me. Or more likely, they reheated leftovers from the day before and hoped I wouldn't notice. The waiter said sorry, but no offer to bring me something else, so I left hungry. The price was way high for what they offer. Won't return. read more

We eat at Outback Steakhouse a couple times a week usually. We use the pick up service and eat in the restaurant. The order more times than not is messed up. Today, they did not include the grilled chicken with the Aussie Grilled Chicken salad. They only sent the salad. I called up there, waited on hold for about 5 minutes and was disconnected. I called back and they said I needed to talk to a manager about this but the manager never came to the phone. After more than 11 minutes of just holding on the phone line, I hung up. This is a habit of theirs. Orders are messed up often and then no help. read more

This is the 2nd visit within the last few months. The server was very attentive but the food not so good. First visit my steak was tough and grisly no flavor. 2nd visit my chicken shrimp pasta- pasta was undercooked, shrimp undercooked and the chicken was dry and hard on the edges, it was not hot when it was brought to the table. Plus the waiting area and booths are in dire need of maint, all of the vinyl seating is wore off, the booth we sat in had a rip about 6 inches long and the stuffing was showing. read more

I used to really like the Outback in Jonesboro but the last time I ate there they did not cook my food right. I am not a complainer. I ate what I got. I just didn't go back for a while. Tonight I decided to give them another try with my wife. Her blooming fried chicken came out way over cooked. The crust was inedible. I ordered a ribeye medium well. It was charred beyond belief on the outside. Inside was medium well but you couldn't taste it for the charr. I know I will never be back and I would recommend no one else eat there either if you want quality food for the price. There are plenty of other places to eat in Jonesboro. the scene: three generations of women, ranging from 67 to 10 , after a long afternoon of selling Girl Scout cookies, already hungry, decide to go out on a Saturday night during the dinner rush..... We left one restaurant (where we had a kids eat at discounted rate coupon), due to lack of choices on the under 12 menu. We wanted steak! Outback Steakhouse came to mind and , of course, the Bloomin Onion sealed the deal. . The onion did not disappoint!! Nor did the entire experience from staff to service to food. and we were eating on a fairly strict budget. its 6:30 when we get there we were told there'd be a wait. optimistic two of us went to was our hands and before we could even finish in the bathroom, our party was being seated. it took a few minutes for drinks, non- alcoholic, but when they came it was with bread ! Our server was helpful, pleasant, clear, timely, smiling and friendly ( we recommend Mike****) the appetizer was piping hot and with extra plates as asked. the salads, ordered as meals, came ....wait for it...... With The Meal!! only small mistake was forgotten dressings ordered on the side but Mike was, as I mentioned, timely... recovered before the first bite. the steak and kids' Joey bites were cooked just right and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cut of sirloin I ordered. it was almost half an inch thick... yes a 10 oz sirloin... in which I thought I may be disappointed because I'd forgotten to mention. the extra seasoning- butter and cracked pepper- but it did not need it...nor steaksauce.. was Delicious!! We inadvertantly tested Mike again with little things like mustard ( for fries.*..I know*) and more bread, but as busy as he was, he managed without emoting discontent, in fact, the opposite, still smiling and pleasant. I noticed several instances co-workers actually working as a team & helping each other out which, as a former waitress, I thought was very cool. + to top everything off one of the managers actually stopped by and took an interest in our meal and our visit. Lauren was incredibly friendly-- just a joy! She even offered up a free app coupon. Because of Lauren and Mike and the entire staff ( which we felt was genuinely friendly, not just fake smile friendly) & the experience, ** not too costly, under $50, including a decent tip, we will definitely be back to Outback Steakhouse in Jonesboro , Arkansas. We go out to eat once , maybe twice a month, not often, but It was hands down our best dining experience to date - and that's saying something -- coming from three picky females.... Who left smiling ! read more
