Stopped by the Canton Outback location while we were out shopping since the location closer to us in Fairlawn is now closed. They were very busy for a 2pm on a Sunday so we chose to sit at the bar and were greeted shortly by the bartender. She made us our favorite Wallaby Darned cocktails which were delicious as always. We split the blooming onion which probably needed 30 seconds less in the fryer but was still tasty and they gave us 2 cups of sauce without even having to ask! The Alice Springs chicken is one of our go to menu items, it now comes with only 1 breast instead of 2 due to the increase in costs felt everywhere. Overall a good experience, they definitely need more staff to turn tables faster and tidy up the bathroom. Plenty of parking in the shared lot with Bone fish next door. read more

My wife and I finally got a chance to enjoy a long-overdue date night, and we chose Outback Steakhouse since we had a $25 gift card and wanted to try their "Aussie Three Course" deal. It turned out to be a great pick. The special lets you choose a steak, a classic side, a soup or salad, and a dessert, with pricing tiers ranging from $14.99 to $20.99, plus options to upgrade sides and desserts. We both went with the 6 oz. sirloin, along with soups--the potato soup and the French onion. For our starter, we tried the new Down Under Trio, which included bacon cheddar fries, cheese sticks, and their famous Bloomin' Onion. To finish things off, we had desserts: New York-style cheesecake and the Chocolate Thunder from Down Under. Our server, Kelsey, was in training. She didn't do a bad job, though we did notice her trainer stopping by more often than she did. That said, the service overall was still good. The food was delicious, and the value of the Aussie Three Course made the experience even better. I'd definitely recommend Outback, especially if you're looking for a solid deal like this. read more

This is our local Outback and the one we frequent the most due to the absolute phenomenal customer service of the best waiter Tim! Tim is the absolute best and we only go when we know Tim is working. The food is still that classic Outback experience, their Prime Rib is always my favorite and my main go to beef option. Obviously the Bloomin' Onion is a must order as well. This was an awful food experience. So to preface I haven't been to Outback in about 15 years but sadly Texas Roadhouse wasn't open yet, and I didn't have time to wait. Onto the restaurant, it was dead inside, it was 2pm, prime lunch time and barely anyone was in there. That should have been a sign, was clean and the wait staff was nice enough. Sadly as nice as they were they couldn't make up for the meal, the two stars is for the wait staff just to be clear. The food, so my partner and I ordered drinks, the Gold Peak had water added to stretch it out, it was weak. My Strawberry lemonade was sickeningly sweet to where I had to switch it to coke and I don't really drink soda. It was so strong is took the breath out of me. My salad was sad, I won't talk to much on that but it was dry, the lettuce was old. Our appetizers came out, the mushrooms were decent if not sitting in oil, they didn't put paper or anything to soak up the oil under them so they were swimming in grease. The mac and cheese puffs were fine. That's the only good food we got. His burger was tasteless, literally no flavor. And the fries were just ok. No salt, no pepper, no nothing on that hamburger. We might as well should of went to a gas station. There were supposed to be blooming onions on it but they too had the soul and flavor cooked out of them. My food was the worst part, I've been craving steak and this place needs to go straight to jail with this joke they sent out. First off, my steak was a poorly cut 6oz steak, asked for rare. Not hard right? Ok so the steak is was medium well done, the steak was in now way grilled, you can taste the oil and there was a massive tendon down the center. The cut was smaller in then two of my fingers, and was chewy and rubbery. Sent it back. While waiting I tried to potato, how do you dry out a baked potato so bad that even a knife can't cut through the skin? It was salted on the outside and the butter oddly didn't melt, it was a tough hard potato. Lastly the shrimp, I like coconut shrimp, but the shrimp is was rubbery from being over fried to death, I mean this shrimp was black. I've never had burned coconut before so it was a new experience, a nasty one, but a new one. Honestly this place is awful, and for how much it costs never again. It goes into the shame corner with Red Lobster. They can't understand why profits are falling, maybe because the food sucks. read more

Atmosphere: Your typical steakhouse. Well-lit. Server was funny and very nice. Tables were clean as well as the floor. Wasn't too loud but seemed pretty busy for a weekday. Food: One thing I was very happy about is that they carry my favorite wine so I ordered a 9oz glass of that. My friend had water with lemon. I then ordered a French Onion Soup as an appetizer. I think it comes frozen but I don't know what I loved about that crouton puck on theirs but hands down one of the best french onion soups I have had in a long time. For my main course, I ordered the lobster tail with the filet medium rare. I was very impressed with the filet. It was cooked absolutely PERFECTLY. The lobster tail was also cooked perfectly, not rubbery or overdone at all. The prices here have seem to gone up and the food, downhill. The past two times we went here the blooming onion was A. RAW still in the middle the first time, and this last time it was BURNT to a crisp, with the onion skin still on so you literally had to pull it out of your mouth because it wasn't chewable (see photos) i know the world is understaffed right now, but the manager stood at the end of the bar and talked to the bartender for a good 20-25 min while the waitresses were running around, one waitress dropped a whole tray with glasses all over them, shattered everywhere...the manager didn't move, just stood there and shook her head...absolutely ridiculous. My wife and I eat lunch here every couple months, and, I gotta tell you, it's outstanding! My hopes are never super high at a chain restaurant, but, for some reason, we really click with this Outback location on the Strip in Canton Ohio. Today, our server was Gina (I think as it's hard to hear sometimes in a busy place) and she was great! I'd say she was fairly new, but she was perfectly attentive. Our order came out quick, hot, and flavorful. We both got the endless soup and salad. Chili for me, cheddar broccoli for my wife. I think I've eaten at Outback more in the past three months than I have at any other time since they arrived on the scene in 1988 and it seems that's been mostly out of convenience. Each experience has been completely different which I attribute to the service and restaurant management since I'm convinced the food is cloned - although cloning provides a consistent menu and you kinda know what to expect the food has never been the reason I return, gift cards are the number one reason followed by as I stated before convenience. This visit was definitely the later after running into a long time business associate and deciding to have dinner close by since we were both staying at the same hotel. We arrived a little after 6:00 PM and found a few open seats at the bar, the restaurant was mostly filled although I think we could have gotten a table if we had asked. The bartender was friendly enough but seemed a little preoccupied chatting with a few other employees who likewise weren't too interested in being here. I ordered a red bull and Tito's to start while eyeing the menu - nothing jumped out at me so I decided on a house salad - end cut of the prime rib as rare as that cut can be and a baked potato loaded minus the chives. I had barely tasted my cocktail when the salad arrived followed in minutes by our entrées. No end cut and no explanation or apology not that food runner from the kitchen realized my request was ignored or that the bartender never followed until dinner was half done. It really doesn't matter tho I just wanted to get the check and be on my way I had an extremely early flight to catch and nothing would of fixed the situation anyway. My husband and I went here for my birthday recently. I was really impressed with all of the precautions they're taking for COVID. Almost half of the tables were blocked off. So limited capacity. And all of the staff were wearing masks, and none of that pulled down below the nose nonsense. I got the ribeye (so good, perfectly cooked to order), and the side of Mac n cheese. It was a few dollar upcharge for the Mac n cheese, but you can see that it's a large serving. Unfortunately I didn't like the Mac n cheese at all- I'm not sure what it is but it's like grossly sweet. Asked for a little more brown sugar/ cinnamon mixture for my tater and they brought Plenty! (Enough to share with my hubby plus leftovers). I recommend going with lite seasoning on all their meats because I find that they are a little too generous with seasoning and drowns out the true meat flavor. We love coming here Saturday nights because there's a guy that does balloon animals for free! My bits absolutely love it! Every time we've been here, we've had EXCEPTIONAL service. The food hasn't always been consistent, but the service has been off the charts incredible. I highly recommend using the app and get your name on their list so you don't have as long a wait as you would without it. This last Saturday we got on the list and it said a 45-60 minute wait. We arrived and checked in (always get a buzzer don't have them text you), and expected a good 30 minute wait and we were buzzed within 10 minutes. The tangy tomato dressing is phenomenal. Get the bloom petals instead of the blooming onion- it's smaller and 75% less greasy than the blooming onion. We always ask for light seasoning on our steaks as they tend to be waaaay too seasoned otherwise. read more

We did curbside to go order, and the server was polite, food was ready and hot when we got there and tasted good. We got 2 kids meals, the ribs and the steak both with dressed potatoes. A big turnarounds from my previous review! There was nine of us family and that may have made the difference or something else! Last time it was just the two of us. Anyhow we had a great meal and I ordered sirloin with coconut shrimp? Both was delicious the side salad was good and the mashed potato was good too! My spouse ordered chicken breast and it was good too! Our drinks we tasty and fruit the way we like it! A bit light without any kick to it! Steak was juicy and tender not as good as Texas Roadhouse, but good enough! The service was excellent with patience and regular checking on everyone including the two kids! We could not expect any better service from our waiter! Restrooms we reasonable clean and restaurant was too! The private parking lot was adequate for the full house they had that evening! Steaks were ordered medium well and received medium rare. Baked potato looked like it was nuked 4 or 5 times as when it was served the size of a golf ball. Not a good experience here. Stopped by for lunch on my way home from my doctors. It was my last meal before my surgery the next day. It was the only thing I had that day. I got food poisoning. Ordered the onion for an app, tasted old and was very dry. For lunch I ordered the 6oz strip with baked potato. The potato was under cooked and was almost cold. Steak looked weird, but cut 3 strips and ate a piece, tasted funny and very little seasoning. I decided to try the end to see if I just had a bad piece, ended up spitting it out. Had my wife try and she took one bite, and spit it out. The meat was old. About 2 hours later the signs started showing up inside, and couple of hours later I didn't leave the restroom. I had surgery scheduled the next morning, that had to be canceled. Manager at store offered 10.00 for next visit, got one call from regional, told me there was nothing he could do but offer me 150.00 gift card for my next visit. I lost 3 days wages, and paid for the rest of our meal at visit! Told me corporate would be in touch. Have heard nothing. Food poisoning is very hard to prove is what I was told. I know what I experienced. There are a lot of great steak houses in Belden area. This will not be one I will ever step foot in again. They used to be a great place to frequent, but times have changed. Beer selection is minimal, and the food has gone down hill. The service was the one good thing, ambience is average. read more

So, I'm not a complainer when it comes to eating out. We don't do it often. I'm very respectful of servers because I've done that job and I always tip 20 percent, which I did tonight. That said, Mark and I went to Outback tonight for dinner. Even though there were many open tables, we had to wait a half hour, which we did at the bar without complaint. That is very reasonable on a Friday. The bartender was very nice. Once seated, We waited a really long time for our waitress to come to our table to greet us, but she called me honey and all was fine. We were not in a hurry. All was good until my "medium" filet came looking like a piece of leather. I was actually apologetic when I said, I'm so sorry, I hate to be that person, but this is very well-done. She said no problem, I will take this back, which of course made me nervous. She popped back and said my dinner would be back in 4 minutes. Ten minutes later I got this bloody mess. I don't know why things are so bad right now or why restaurants can't get people to work. My 4 kids work their asses off and never call off. People just don't seem to care anymore. read more

We used to love Outback on the strip but last Friday night was the last time we will go here. The last two times we came here for dinner it was the same fiasco. We came here last Friday night because we wanted to give them another chance. We were seated at around 8:00pm and the waitress immediately told us that the food was taking around 45 minutes. We then said to her that the restaurant wasn't even crowded... and we were seated immediately. She went in to tell us the kitchen was having problems. We were both tired and hungry and accepted that but we were not happy. She suggested we get an appetizer to fill up the long time so we ordered the breaded mushrooms. When she brought them.. it was clear they were very very dark in color and overcooked. The salads were very fresh and very good. We were not served our main food until 9:05pm. Both steaks were wrongly cooked. I ordered mine rare and it was medium. My son ordered his medium rare and his was overcooked. I also requested no seasonings on mine. My steak was returned and my son kept his in spite of. When the manager brought my steak he proceeded to explain why the long wait and kept repeating the reasons as I cut and checked my steak. It was cooked rare but it had seasoning on it which the waitress told the kitchen ... no seasoning ! So I pushed it aside and stated ... I requested no seasonings and it has seasoning... I don't want it. The manager apologized and removed my steak and the mushrooms off our bill. The waitress told us it's the kitchen that is messed up. In my opinion this restaurant is very poorly managed. Just hearing the excuses the manger was telling my son and repeating over and over does nothing but make him look weak and ineffective. My son said to him that this is the 3rd time we've come here and experienced the same inept food service/ delivery. My husband and I enjoy the Lunch Specials from time to time at the Outback Steakhouse. Today I had the new steak chili soup with a garden salad. This chili has no beans and the steak in the soup was so tender it felt like butter melting! It was a nice heat and not at all too spicy. My husband had the Bloomin Chicken. It was juicy and delicious. We also had the appetizer mushrooms...a very delicious Lunch and nice treat from home cooking. Our server "Claire" was excellent and of course that is bonus! read more

My boyfriend and I took my granddaughter to out back for lunch. My granddaughter who is 4 got the chicken fingers and fries. Her fries were great but her chicken fingers were very dry. I got the 16 oz strip steak and some mixed veg and a side salad all was very good steak was cooked to perfection. The boyfriend got filet mignon, French onion soup and Mac and cheese. His steak was perfect and the soup was the bomb his words, but the Mac and cheese was dry. We told our waiter and they took the Mac and cheese off our bill. Never mentioned the chicken fingers because the granddaughter wouldn't have ate them anyway because she filled up on our steak and his soup. They also gave us a free blooming onion. You can't go wrong with the bloomin onion appetizer. We started with this. The Caesar salad is a big portion and the dressing is rich. My Victoria fillet was perfectly cooked. The baked potato could have used more toppings. The side of mushrooms had a brown possibly beef based broth on them. This is a solid meal that was prepared well. I will return. read more

We have had many a dinner at a Outback Steakhouse across the nation. Tonight our Dinner was average but the service from the kitchen was so slow. When we waited over an hour to receive our dinner we asked the server what the problem was. She replied how they only had three people in the kitchen when they normally have a twice that many and Blah blah blah. Really- their organizations staffing is not our problem. She could have offered us dessert or an extra drink to compensate. Or even a small monetary token on a gift card. None of that. So we maybe won't have in a hurry to revisit. read more
