The filet was incredibly tender, perfectly seared, sliced just right, and generously topped with bright, herbaceous chimichurri sauce. Add those crispy Bloomin' onion petals on top, and you've got pure steakhouse perfection. The best part? You get two sides included--how great is that? All of this deliciousness for $27.99, and every single bite was outstanding. Of course, I couldn't pass up my favorite wedge salad --crisp, cold, and loaded just the way it should be--paired with steamed broccoli cooked to absolute perfection . Clean, fresh, and satisfying. My friend ordered the rack of ribs, and they were everything ribs should be--tender, juicy, and falling-off-the-bone good . Outback is one of our faves (me, my husband and two sons)! We love their fresh salads, perfectly seasoned steaks and PERFECTLY cooked Salmon. Let me tell you, that Salmon is seared to perfection, sealing in the juices and cooked wonderfully with a moist and flaky inside. Food was very good but service not so much. Not due to being short staffed, because there were several servers just standing near the restrooms. No drink refills. Asked for more bread to eat with salads but never came. Asked for bread and additional butter for out steak and lobster - but never came. Asked for to-go drink - never came. For the most part we had an enjoyable experience. It was a long wait to get our food, which isn't too bad since they were busy. However, it was disappointing to see tables that came after us with the same amount of people getting their food before us. I stopped in with some friends some time ago and I ordered something "odd" for being at Outback. I bypassed their usually good to very good steak offerings and I ordered a chicken fried chicken breast and it was amazing!!!! This place is horrible!!! We stopped in on our way back from Lake Charles and boy were we disappointed with our food. It was the greasiest, most poorly cooked food I have had from a resultant of this caliber - ever. Most of the food "looked" ok...but once you cut into it or push it with your fork, it oozed grease. The only tasty thing was the cheese dip - and unfortunately I forgot the name of it. On the bright side, or server and management were quick to reconcile the issue. The ordered more food - in which we declined, but they did offer. They also removed the items we didn't really eat from out ticket. This really made a difference. I haven't eaten at an outback in years because the quality seemed to be going down. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to try it again. The wait staff was great and attentive. The steak was seasoned great, the lobster size was slightly disappointing but for the price it was reasonable. The chicken ribs were very good as well, definitely recommend them. read more

The worst Prime rib and salad. Photos speaks for themselves. I got the fattiest meat and the salad lettuce was spoiled. I left it all on the plate to think surely the waitress/bartender would see it and say something, but that clearly did not happen. I can't believed i paid over $28 for that piece of fat! Took my niece here for lunch...I've been to outback's all over Texas...Houston, Sugarland, Galveston, Webster(to name a few) I had a hamburger and fries medium rare...delicious She had a Cobb salad with fried chicken...and we split some cheese fries. The Outback Steakhouse in Beaumont, Texas is a sure thing no matter when we go. I wanted Prime Rib for Valentine's Day so we went earlier than we normally do. We were seated quickly, everything was clean, and the staff was ready for a busy night. Our waitress, Debbie, is not one of those waitresses that is doing this as a side gig - she is a professional waitress. She was pleasant, watched our drinks, brought out our food promptly, and even took time for us to chat her up a bit. I ordered delivery from Outback which I have never done before. The order was in my hands in less than 30 minutes. It was accurate and hot. I appreciated this immensely after a long day of travel. There was napkins and plastic spoons in the bag. I would've liked to have a fork and knife for my salad and steak but decided not to be too picky since I didn't have to go out and get it. I had not visited this restaurant in many years until today. First impressions: the restaurant appears very clean with warm colors. I still don't understand why we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated when I could see at least 4-5 empty booths from where I was standing. No one was seated there while we waited. We were recently in Beaumont for a night and decided to eat at the Outback. Our server was nice (he was actually "the home-schooled-like awkward around people and kind of oblivious, but very polite because that's how he was raised" nice- which was interesting), even if we had to repeat ourselves a couple of times. Got seated right away, even though the parking lot looked jammed. Refills on beverages were prompt, as was the delivery of hot bread. My boyfriend did try to joke with the waiter at one point and the waiter totally didn't get it and thought we were serious/insane. So that was awkward. Haha My only complaints were: -The food delivery was very poorly timed. We ordered an appetizer, salads, and entrees. The appetizer came out 30 seconds before our salads did, so it was kind of a decision on which to eat first. We were at a 2-top table, so there wasn't a lot of table room to situate the plates/bowls. Then, our food came out while we still had salad and appetizers left. So we gave up on what was left of the salads to make room for the the large entree plates. -Our waiter, while very nice, was trying to take full trays of food/drinks out to his section. Rather than just bringing us our beverages (2 waters and a soda) since we ordered first, he took the order of another table who were seated about 3 minutes after we ordered our drinks. So we had to wait about 5 minutes to get our drinks. No biggie, I was just thirsty! -The food was overly spicy. Like, I get it. Cajun food and seasoning is big down here in the Gulf region. But at a chain restaurant like Outback, I expect consistency. Had we requested our food extra spicy/seasoned, then totally cool. But we didn't. Everything except the baked potatoes were spicy (yes, Caesar salads were even spicy. Don't ask me how.). The potatoes tasted normal and we had both eaten earlier in the day-- and THAT tasted normal (so it's not like we were both just insane that day or anything). ------------- Overall it's a good restaurant. I hear that the Saltgrass down the highway is brand new (and therefore ALWAYS PACKED). If you're wanting a steak and the wait is too long at Saltgrass, then come to Outback. Servers and hostesses are nice, food is good (although weirdly spicy, but if you're from Beaumont you're probably used to it), and refills are prompt. read more
