If you're ever in Adelaide, Australia, a wine tour in the Barossa Valley is a MUST. My second winery stop was at JACOB'S CREEK, which is where you can find this beautiful casual fine dining inside. I did some wine tasting first, bought a bottle of their famous LE PETIT ROSÉ (dry &crisp rose), and found a seat at their restaurant. It was quite empty on a rainy Tuesday but the service did not disappoint.
Their dishes are quite petite and $$$. It's recommended one person order 2-3 dishes to share family style. It took a while for the food to come out. About 15-20 minutes, but once I dug my fork and knife in, it was well worth it. The chef even gave us a free potato dish that really filled our party of 3 up. Not sure what the occasion was... maybe to accommodate for the longer wait? The PUMPKIN GNOCCHI & CHARBROILED CRISPY PORK were my favorites. But you can't really go wrong with any of them. read more
