Man oh man was that a hard promise to keep! We spent large chunks of time searching out those little suckers. Not every Flying J's, Loves or Petro station carries post cards & searching online for souvenir shops in small towns, more often than not, leaves you empty handed. One such internet search took us into Walmarts & drug stores...nothing. Driving through Arkansas we even found ourselves driving to a sweet elderly couples' residence to buy a pack of vintage Arkansas cards. It's a sad day indeed, at least in my opinion, when the postcard becomes outdated. Well, we discovered a little late that visitors centers near the state borders might just have postcards, if you're looking. This one did. And we left with a handful of free brochures & books on local history. Not to mention the goodies we bought: t-shirts, our state-shaped magnet & a stuffed buffalo for the Littles! We pulled up out of desperation, but it was worth the stop, for sure.

They have tons of items for sale and local stuff too so it's very much not commercial in its approach. Really nothing bad to say about this little stop.

I had to come back 5 different times to…read moreget them to fix a problem that takes less than 10 minutes to fix, and 4 out of 5 of those times they had less than 7 people in their waiting room. They refuse to work any more than the minimum amount that they are forced to, and there is no question that they will not take even as little as an additional 5 minutes out of their day to help someone. If you plan on utilizing the services at this building, I would ensure you schedule an appointment weeks in advance, and call at least once to check that they're still tracking your appointment.

Here are just a few of the problems that I and three other passengers encountered when we booked a Hawaiian cruise through Michelle's Destinations: 1) My reservation was incorrect because they misspelled my first name; 2) My reservation was incorrect because they misspelled my last name; 3) My reservation was incorrect because they recorded a wrong date for my date of birth. These three combined caused issues with boarding resulting in an additional hour being needed before being allowed to board the ship; 4) Four of us took out an insurance policy, while simultaneously taking advantage of a deal being offered by a cruise line. Unfortunately, one of us needed to cancel due to an unexpected surgery. A Michelle's Destination Agent sent an email stating, "filing a claim would not be an option due to the special that was running and was booked." This was a flat out lie. The reality was that the travel agency did not want to bother with having to wait for an insurance claim to reimburse us; 5) We were also told that a change in occupancy would result in a higher fair being charged. Again, a flat out lie. Pursuant to our insurance policy it includes a, "Cancellation Fee Waiver: refunds are also provided if you are charged a change in occupancy/single supplement charge as a result of your traveling companion's cancellation due to one of the reasons [illness]" 6) Additionally, this travel agency gave us an arbitrary date where we had to find someone else or we would be charged and that there was no negotiation of this time frame. It should be noted that this date came and went, months later we did find someone else and again this was a flat out lie; 7) Two of us were also veterans, which the cruise line offers a $250 credit as a sign of respect and gratitude. This travel agency never informed us despite knowing that some of us were veterans; 8) Two of us were sold drink passes accounting for an additional $2,000. Once on the boat, the cruise line informed us that this was a waste of money and that travel agencies get a higher commission by selling these packages. I cannot stress how horrible my experience has been with this travel agency and I do not recommend Michelle's Destination under any circumstance. Disorganized, untruthful and willfully negligent are the only words that come to mind and therefore I was compelled to leave this review.
