This is a super cool old mansion with a great history and the tour guides are fantastic. Open on the weekends for self guided tours it's a great way to spend a hot summer day inside and explore the people who helped build okc

Basically you can use it as a walk tunnel to connect all business. There are several tower in downtown that connects the tunnels. Many downtown people use it as walking path for restaurants during lunch time. We got into the tunnel through the Arvest building. We took the elevator to LL level to parking garage below the building, then followed the red painted path to enter the green tunnel. The tunnel divided into colors system. It was also nice to be out of the heat. There were two photos that, taken together, don't seem believable as described. According to the captions, one was taken of OKC April 22, 1889, and the next on May 13, 1889 - just 3 weeks later. Not only has an entire city appeared in 3 weeks, but additional rail lines, and an outhouse added in the foreground. What really seems implausible, though, is a massive pile of dirt in the first photo has disappeared 3 weeks later, with no sign it was ever there - even the grass has grown back perfectly. In three weeks. I'd love to know how the dates were authenticated. We can learn a lot from our elders, so I really enjoyed the quotes and photos of people who had made it to be 100 years old. We entered through a door in a parking garage, but there's an escalator right up front in the BancFirst building that's probably easier to find. I'm attaching photos.

We only…read morefound out about this place from the Watertaxi ride that we rode during our journey through Bricktown in Oklahoma City the day before. Devon Energy Building is a 50-story skyscraper. It's in downtown Oklahoma City, and it's the tallest building in the city and state. I think it's also the tallest building from Chicago to Texas. The building was decorated for the holidays! It had a giant ornament sitting on top of what I had originally thought was granite, only to find out that after dining at Vast, it's actually still water! It was so beautiful. The building is futuristic. In the middle of Devon Energy Center, it looks like their metallic pine combs hanging from the center. All the glass windows are completely open. It's absolutely stunning inside and outside the building. It was relatively easy to get to Vast inside the Devon Energy Center. There are signs pointing you in the direction of Vast. Floor 49 is the restaurant, and floor 50 is for private events. The elevators are really fast! It took only seconds to get up to the 49th floor. There was never a long wait for the elevator. The views from the 49 floor are gorgeous. You can see the entire Oklahoma City. I could only imagine what the views looked like during the evening with all of the lights in the city glowing! There are also bathrooms on floor 49 if you're eating at Vast. The only issue that my family and I had, since we're not locals to Oklahoma City, was finding parking for the Devon Energy Center. We couldn't locate the parking for the building and ended up parking in a parallel open spot, nearby, and walking over. I think if we were more familiar with the area, I'm sure we could have found it, but after 20 minutes driving around, we didn't want to be late for our reservation at Vast for brunch.

It truly is a sculptural building, especially inside and the grounds around it. Minimalistic with wonderful lines, textures and contrasts. Views from Vast on the 49th floor are fantastic! Especially at night. I highly recommend walking in and grabbing seats at the bar or in their lounge. The elevators to and fro are very smooth and fast. They also hold fun seasonal events for families most of which are free of charge. But if there is any bad weather they will cancel and not reschedule so be sure to check ahead online. My only complaint, and it is a big one, is the parking. The valet workers here are rudest people, arrogant and disrespectful. Since you must go through the valet, just avoid parking here altogether and save yourself the drama. Park at a nearby street meter and walk, it's not far. I'm not sure who does the valet hiring but they need to seriously rethink their practices. I wanted to tank the star rating due to the rude valet behavior but I resisted. It is definitely a building worth visiting and I love seeing it on the horizon regardless of where I am in OKC.

I used their bike on the history tour but brought my bike on the Halloween/Haunted House tour Their bikes are a great and comfy hybrid style with lights and bells; all of the needed safety items. They also offered helmets if you don't bring your own. As a cyclist I totally recommend some light fingerless gloves in case of a fall, because sometimes falls happen... even when stationary Their knowledge of edificial architecture and history with the State's growth and economy during the formative years was impressive. I really enjoyed the format with riding and listening to music, chatting with other bikers, and interacting with other -estrians and motorists The halloween/haunted house tour was so fun. The weather was so beautiful this night. It wasn't a typical end of October night where it's usually super cold or the first freeze for the end of the year. The tour guide knew all of the spooky stories. Oklahoma unfortunately has a sordid history with its establishment and economic development, so I am sure there are many stories that can be added to this event as the years go on and stories come to light I look forward to a brewery tour and other riding events, but I think this is a great activity for anyone and undoubtedly so for a group
