I would not recommend this travel agency even if it were the only way to book an all-inclusive vacation - and luckily for you - it is not. Here are just a few of the problems that I and three other passengers encountered when we booked a Hawaiian cruise through Michelle's Destinations: 1) My reservation was incorrect because they misspelled my first name; 2) My reservation was incorrect because they misspelled my last name; 3) My reservation was incorrect because they recorded a wrong date for my date of birth. These three combined caused issues with boarding resulting in an additional hour being needed before being allowed to board the ship; 4) Four of us took out an insurance policy, while simultaneously taking advantage of a deal being offered by a cruise line. Unfortunately, one of us needed to cancel due to an unexpected surgery. A Michelle's Destination Agent sent an email stating, "filing a claim would not be an option due to the special that was running and was booked." This was a flat out lie. The reality was that the travel agency did not want to bother with having to wait for an insurance claim to reimburse us; 5) We were also told that a change in occupancy would result in a higher fair being charged. Again, a flat out lie. Pursuant to our insurance policy it includes a, "Cancellation Fee Waiver: refunds are also provided if you are charged a change in occupancy/single supplement charge as a result of your traveling companion's cancellation due to one of the reasons [illness]" 6) Additionally, this travel agency gave us an arbitrary date where we had to find someone else or we would be charged and that there was no negotiation of this time frame. It should be noted that this date came and went, months later we did find someone else and again this was a flat out lie; 7) Two of us were also veterans, which the cruise line offers a $250 credit as a sign of respect and gratitude. This travel agency never informed us despite knowing that some of us were veterans; 8) Two of us were sold drink passes accounting for an additional $2,000. Once on the boat, the cruise line informed us that this was a waste of money and that travel agencies get a higher commission by selling these packages. I cannot stress how horrible my experience has been with this travel agency and I do not recommend Michelle's Destination under any circumstance. Disorganized, untruthful and willfully negligent are the only words that come to mind and therefore I was compelled to leave this review. read more

If we could leave a "no star" review, we would. We booked a very expensive, lengthy trip & purchased the insurance that we were told, "covered anything & every situation". We had a family emergency right before our departire date & had to cancel our departure, understanding we could still use our trip, airfare, etc., on a later date. The owner, Shelly was very rude & dismissive to us. We received absolutely no help from her or the agent who booked us. We had to call the airline, hotels, car company, etc. to cancel everything, & the Tour Company refused to rebook us or refund us any of our money. We were left with thousands of dollars spent & NOTHING in return. This is the most unprofessional travel agency we have ever dealt with, & we travel a lot. Buyer beware. Robin tried to get me to take my review down and even trolled me? on Facebook to see who i had for mutual friends and i got a text from my friend of 30+ years as he casually knows Robing i explained how i was treated and he agreed they deserve a one star rating, i wish they would have tried to actually give me a price on the trip and hotel we had picked out but it never happened so my suggestion is to use Vincent Travel in OKC for your travel needs as they actually do their job and communicate, Shelly the owner messaged me to NEVER contact them again which is fine as she didn't like my review of their lack of service read more

I was very impressed with this company's knowledge of Cancun. I was a bit tight on our budget but Shelly gave me 5 resorts options to choose from, that best suited our income at that time. She did a WONDERFUL job during the whole proces, sending us emails with travel information before our trip and the resort we stayed at was spectacular! I booked my honeymoon with Michelle back in 2003 and had a great experience. I was recently remarried and used her again for our honeymoon and was beyond pleased. Michelle returned emails promptly, even during times when I had no expectation that she would get back to me so quickly (off hours type of thing). She is accessible by phone and returns calls promptly and is more than happy to answer any and every question. I was having a hard time deciding where to go with our budget and she was patient and more than happy to keep looking. She eventually suggested Aruba and a specific resort and we absolutely loved our honeymoon. She helped with logistics of air travel that she wasn't even booking for us and then jumped in to help when we needed it. I really cannot say enough about how great Michelle and her staff are.
