I will never understand why some small-business owners turn away easy local business and then…read morewonder why they eventually have to close their doors. At approximately 12:30 p.m., I called McClelland's Florist to place a $175 flower order, plus tax, for delivery to Holyoke--only about two miles away and roughly eight minutes from the shop. The owner answered and sounded irritated from the start. After asking for the street and city, she dismissively said, "We already went to Holyoke today." What bothered me most was that she made no effort to offer another solution--not delivery the next day, not an alternative arrangement, and not any attempt to keep the sale. She simply made it clear that my business was an inconvenience. As a small-business owner myself, I understand that every request cannot always be accommodated. However, there is no excuse for treating a potential customer this way, especially over a short local delivery and a substantial order. Small interactions like this add up. When businesses eventually close their doors, customers remember exactly why they stopped supporting them. McClelland's Florist has lost my business, my recommendations, and the support of another local business owner

She sat down with us twice and ran through options on ribbon and different green types for the bridesmaids baby's breath bouquets and I can't express how gorgeous they were. I met her at the venue that morning to grab the bouquets and take to the airbnb where the girls were getting ready and all of the bouquets were in vases and organized so professionally. Ida keep in communication through the months and at one wasn't sure on the greens that were going to be available and she called me to discuss because she wanted to ensure 100% satisfaction, and everything just worked out so beautifully. We had greens and baby's breath lining the tables, and light yellow roses along the sweetheart table. We had a vase and bouquet on the card table and it was absolutely full and stunning! You will not be disappointed with Golden Blossom! (No idea why it says I am from CA!)

I just realized I've had this in drafts for ages and never hit publish!…read more We planned a wedding at the Inn on Boltwood and worked with Willow and Moss as our florist. In addition to the flowers being beautiful and the packages being reasonable, we were really impressed by how kind, and flexible Ahrayah was. In the end, we unfortunately had to cancel our wedding due to the pandemic, and she was so incredibly helpful and understanding. I wish we'd had the chance to actually go through with the flowers we had picked out, but if we lived in the area, Willow and Moss would be my go-to florist for every occasion. Strongly recommend!

She was a pleasure to work with: friendly and warm, stayed within my modest budget, let me know when the flowers were delivered, and most of all created a truly exquisite bouquet with seasonal flowers. (I posted a photo here.) It can be so hard to order a bouquet from a florist you don't know in a city you don't live in (as I did); I often submit to dated looking, cookie cutter, FTD bouquets that are nothing more than sufficient. Not the case here! A big thank you to Rebecca for a bouquet that was far more elegant and beautiful than I could have hoped.
