He worked with me quite patiently as i had partially amputated my right hands middle, ring, and little finger tips in a work related accident even teaching me finger style. I was interested in the blues and rock and roll music mostly back then and he gave me extra time teaching me those genres and their related techniques.He helped me figure out how to llay my favorites and also gave me a great deal on one of his "rainy day guitars" that he would sell to a student each year. I have it to this day. He had a custom hand built guitar that he did not like to take out in inclement weather and he always had a fine substitute to use on those days, which he sold each year to a student if he could find one wanting one. He is a fine Christian man who has experience playing professionally including with a well known Kansas city area band named the Crayons that played back in the 60's and 70's. I have had other teachers after him, but no one that was of the high caliber as he, nor as classically trained.while having a great ear as well. He was always reasonably priced and one of the nicest men I have known in my 67 years. I HIGHLY recommend him to man, woman, or child who wants the best possible teacher of guitar.
