It's a higher quality establishment, where you will pay for what you get, and be happy with the results. The service is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. After looking and looking, going from hardware store to hardware store across the city, finding tiles that were not quite right, we finally caved in to come in and look at what these guys had to offer. I have to be honest though: at least one of the hardware stores told us the same thing they told us here - you couldn't walk away with the product; they had to order it in from somewhere else and it took time (a week or two, at most). So if you're laying tiles, take the time to plan for enough time to complete the work. Still, this establishment had some of the nicest displays we saw anywhere; it was well worth the trip out here. In our particular case, we brought a piece of the existing tile to compare with, so that we could find a complementary colour. This worked well for us.

Josh worked with me to find the right wood in my price. Josh came to my work to provide me with samples, was available for my questions by phone or text and made sure he know what I wanted. He is not the cheapest in Ottawa but is still well priced. That being said the difference in the quality of the work his team does is quite large. All transitions where done cleanly. Attention to detail on the part of the installers was great, from making sure the quarter round the installed was caulked to filling in the nail holes, to the vent cuts. The team put in the time to screw in the sub floor as they went to ensure a quite floor. The hardwood installed was beautiful and the selection's offered where high quality. The team itself was amazing as well, very respectful of my house, they came and left a clean space. They worked hard and were surprisingly fast and completing the job, our 2nd floor of about 700 sq ft was done in a day. If you want a quality job that will last you, look no further.

My only gripe is that the hours are not upheld and it's often closed making it very difficult to visit especially when working during the day. I'd rather they close on Mondays and offer a longer day on Thurs/Fri to get more customers. I did not buy however i am impressed with their service, personalization to me, and dedication to try to find what i wanted when i wasn't even sure. Before I could even finish what I was saying, the elderly gentleman (owner)? who answered the phone, abruptly cut me off, was extremely rude and barked ' I'm not interested!' and proceeded to slam the phone down on me. I can understand his presumption of a sales pitch, but that was not why I was calling & to cut someone off when they are speaking and hang up the phone is not only incredibly rude, but extremely unprofessional. If this man wishes to attract more business to the company, this is surely not the way to do it. Not only did he turn me away, now I will also tell all my friends, colleagues & family to stay away.
