Yay for my beautiful new red maternity coat! :)…read more So for most of my pregnancy, I've been avoiding stores that were specifically directed at maternity wear under the false assumption that they'd be way more expensive. When I finally went into a Motherhood Maternity, I realized I was wrong. In fact, last week my mom and I went into this location and I picked a beautiful red coat for only $40 (from a nice sale selection). It should fit for the rest of my pregnancy. Tera was a big help and gave me her opinions on what would work for the next 3 months and when I should go up a size. lol My first time to a Motherhood Maternity was in AZ. A friend took me in and I was so surprised to see things were often less expensive than they were at Target's maternity section! Jeans for example, started at $30 regular price, nursing bras were all under $20 from what I could tell... and the sales are great! I was pretty impressed. They have a large clearance section in the back. :) They also have some trendy selections, including jackets, jeans and sweaters. Honestly, I've bought most of my stuff from other mothers online or at Craigslist (better for the environment and my pocketbook) but for those special items and the occasional trendy new piece, I'll definitely be back!.. especially when I know what size of nursing bras I'll be needing. lol *sigh* See ya there!

I proceed into dressing room with a few sized nursing bras. Low and behold I end up leaving purchasing a few nursing bras that were 2 cup sizes larger than what she had told me. The sales woman wasn't very helpful with getting me measured....she was way off. I also would advise going in the store and trying some things on for sizing but then order online you can get so many great deals online and on the clearance online rather than in store! :)

However, when the time comes for me to need more baby stuff, the Glenstone location might shift into first place, simply because it's bigger. True Story: I got a few shirts and some onesies that... still had the price tags on them. Yup - used prices on new items. I felt like I was cheating somehow. You can find amazing deals on clothes, bath tubs, car seats, crib bedding, toys, strollers and more! Some stuff looks worn but other things seem to be stuff people got at showers but didn't need and couldn't return. Other Mothers is such a great store and great idea! Surely, most mothers and mothers-to-be don't know about this store or, why would they spend billions of dollars on stuff that you can find here, in new/good/great condition, for cents on the dollar? My mom sure knows her stuff and I'm lucky she brought me here. They were having 50% off wi yer clothes and shoes. I left with 2 coats, 4 pairs of shoes, leather pants, two sweaters and two belts. There clothes are so nice and very reasonable. I stayed two hours and found lovely things. The employees (all volunteers) were delightful and very helpful. I'll be back next time I am in Springfield!

For a small space, there's a surprisingly great selection of women and men's vintage. They had an admirable shoe selection too! I was also impressed with their size range/inclusivity. It can be difficult to find vintage in sizes larger than a modern 10. My only note of caution would be to check all items yourself before purchase. I noticed two or three items of clothing with staining and a torn seam. These aren't necessarily deal-breakers for rare items, but the tags didn't note the flaws and they were priced similarly to the non-flawed items. Pro-tip: the plant store next door is DREAMY AF. Pop in there too.
