They advertised the bike I was looking for on sale at the most competitive price around, but they were 200 miles away literally, in another state. Not knowing much about the company, and a little bit apprehensive, I reviewed their site. They looked legit. So, I decided to purchase the bike from them. They did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded my expectations. Two Brothers Bicycle Company expertly put the bike together in no time, wrapped it tightly and shipped it across the state line. There was no interminably long wait, no beating around the bush, no excuses. The bike arrived so fast that it seemed like a dream. But I just ordered it, I thought. Two Brothers Bicycle Co. did a good job packaging the bike tightly so it arrived safely. The bike arrived in a big box. I thought it was going to be heavy, but it was light about 10-20 pounds. I am not mechanically gifted, but it in less than 30 minutes I was able to unbox and put the bike together. I then performed a pre-ride safety check to made sure the bike was road ready. I took a couple of rides of varying length and levels of difficulty. The fit and seat were comfortable - Check 1. The bike shifted swiftly and smoothly - Check 2. The brakes worked well, no squeaking - Check 3. Two Brothers Bicycle Company delivered on their promise. No tricks, no bait and switch, just a good bike at a good price. What I like about the company is their professional attitude. They don't care whether you're local, national or international, black or white, if you want a good bike at a good price, just check us out, we have one for you. When we got to the boat launch I was happy to see that they had the same boat that I had, in a newer model. Basically, this means that they don't rent you the very cheapest base model kayak, you'll be in a boat you may actually really enjoy and be comfortable in. When we called to reserve John, the owner, offered the option of a sit-on-top (open boat) which I declined. If you like those, they had very nice ones as well. This can be a good option for first timers because they are a little wider and less likely to tip. They also have Stand-up paddle boards and tandem kayaks for rent for the brave. The price was super reasonable for two hours, and there is a Group-on for a 4 hour rental at the two hour price. Next time I may bring a picnic and do the 4 hour option. Canadice Lake is an unbeatable kayak location, it's the water supply for Rochester, so there are no houses on the lake side and basically no motor boats. When you hit the water you'll find yourself able to enjoy quite reflection. This is truly a kayakers paradise and if you don't have kayaks this is the best place to rent. John was awesome, and super accommodating. He told us about upcoming events and was super easy going. I will absolutely be back here to rent again. I was under the impression that I was booking with the bike rental business across from the train station, which I now know is a common mistake, and only realized the mix‑up when I brought my guests into that shop and was told my reservations were not with them. As I was trying to understand what happened, my phone rang and it was Tom, who apparently knew this was a frequent confusion. Instead of helping resolve the situation, he told me I was too stupid to read a Google map and that he would not subject his "on‑time VIP customers" to my supposed stupidity. Honestly, a business owner said this. I was stunned and deeply embarrassed, especially standing there in front of my guests. Only afterward did I look up his reviews and see that I was not the only person subjected to this kind of behavior, and I also noticed that some of his positive reviews were clearly intended for the other bike rental business.
