Our compliments on the excellent work by the technician who visited us to install the shower door (apologies - I did not write down his name). He did an overall fantastic job, start to finish, earning a 100/100. He is competent, professional, and courteous. He answered all our questions patiently and stayed focused on the job without rushing it. Notably, the final cleanup was so thorough! Earlier, the person who visited us for the estimation and measurement was equally good- very knowledgeable! The office personnel who handle the scheduling are very responsive and understanding of our (customers') changing needs and priorities. My remodel project began several months ago with an idea I had to turn my laundry area from an eye-sore to a clean open space. My first thoughts were to have a barn door installed to enclose the entire area. But as I played around with various room design apps, I realized a barn door would close off a lot of space. Once I created a general image via image editing apps, I sent out several requests for quotes on Yelp. Many of the requests wanted me to call them so they could come give me a quote. None of them gave me much to go on unless I would agree to an appointment. From the beginning, Matt was different. He was personable and asked additional questions to be able to answer my questions the best he could without me having to commit to a future appointment. He responded immediately and offered a few options for me regarding next steps. He was very knowledgeable and did not have a pushy approach. For these reasons, I decided to move forward with Vision Remodelers. After I had Matt come by to give me a more accurate quote other than him just going by the image I created, I hired Matt to begin this project. Weather was not on our side throughout the project but his crew labored on, despite the sometimes horrible conditions the crew was always polite and in good spirits. Despite the delays caused by mother nature and the extra time the job took because of them the price of the job didn't change. Daily Jake explained to me what was going on, showed me the progress and explained to me what they were doing and why, I was happy they didn't cut corners and made an extra effort to give me the best work / product possible. They were also extremely conservative with materials, making sure to minimize waste and thus minimize cost, something I haven't seen from contractors I've worked with in the past. In the end I felt like Reiner Construction built my home like they were building it for one of their own family members, the quality, attention to detail and experience was unmatched. I would recommend them to anyone, and will definitely be hiring them again in the spring for my next project their work and work ethic is completely inline with their pricing, they weren't the cheapest bid I got on the job, but I am certain I would not have gotten the quality and peace of mind had I not gone with them. We called around and most places couldn't even come out for an estimate for close to a week. The owner was able to explain to us what we needed (dumb it down for us) and got a plumber out to our house within a day. Amazing! I have to add also the night before it majorly snowed and hence the plumber still came. The plumber was knowledgeable , friendly and super quick. No call to even say "we're swamped, sorry for a delay" or to set a date. -1 star for them forgetting what we talked about with the estimate. I got 2 bids to lift up my front step and they were just pennies apart. The A1 guy who came to do my estimate told me he would be in charge of the job. The other company sent someone who just did estimates and they would send another guy to do the job. So I picked A1. I specifically talked to them about the wood trim we had on our front porch and how that would be handled when they lifted the step. We talked for quite awhile about it. When they came to do the job, they asked me for a wood saw. We don't have one as my husband is NOT a handyman. We save lots of money by paying other people to fix what I can't. Anyway, I called a few neighbors and nobody was home, so I left it up to him to figure out. He ended up approaching a neighbor as they got home and asking them for one. I didn't like that. He knew about this part of the job from when I talked to him about it and should have been prepared. Granted it was unusual, but we did discuss this when he did the estimate.

Well, this spring/summer we noticed the step sinking again and raising at the crack where they had mud jacked (and why we had them out) considerably. So both my husband and I tried contacting Brian with no return response. I guess a guarantee is only as good as the person willing to uphold the promise. Looks like we won't be getting it fixed by A1 Leveling.

We are on the third floor of a walk up condo, and we have a private rooftop deck. We started…read moregetting leaks in the ceiling in two places in our kitchen, and called about a half a dozen places in and around the city to come out and assess. The proposals were all over the place. Some companies said it couldn't be done without ripping off the rooftop deck and repairing everything. Some companies said it wasn't the roof at all, it was condensation inside the house? Jeff at Rollin Contracting was way more honest and practical in his assessment. He pointed out where he suspected the two leaks were coming from, but said that you never really know until you rip up the roof and move the air conditioner and take a look. He told us that roof repair was tricky, that the guys who said we might have to replace the whole roof could be right. But he wouldn't start with that, he would start with the less expensive approach. Granted, there was the risk that if it didn't work, we would have wasted that money when they re-did the whole roof, but we decided to gamble on a $2000 repair rather than jump into the $12,000 repair of the whole roof. Rollin Contracting was the only one who was honest and open and gave us options. He was also the one who was most confident in where he thought the leaks were coming from. It has now been one month since they repaired both potential sources of the leak, and neither of the leaks have come back. And in case you haven't been paying attention, we've gotten absolutely drenched this May. Meaning there is no doubt in my mind that they successfully fixed the leaks. The contractors that came to do the work were great, they didn't even enter the house. I offered to let them come inside to get to the rooftop, and they said they preferred to just go up and over to keep our house clean. While taking up the wooden boards on the rooftop deck to do the roof repair, they accidentally broke one of the boards. They went to Home Depot and replaced the board that day. Not a big deal, and super quick to fix it. Also, at the last minute (after we had signed the contract), I realized that I had forgotten to ask them about the fireplace, which also occasionally drips water during bad storms. I asked Jeff if he would have his guys look at the chimney to see if they could identify the source of the potential leak and to let me know what his recommendations were to have that fixed as well. He went ahead and had his guys caulk it while they were up there without even charging us. I know that's probably not a huge expense, but it was still a nice gesture to just throw that in. So across the board it was a great experience. Would definitely work with these guys again and recommend them with confidence.

We filed a compliant with the BBB for Rollin's failure to obtain necessary permits, workmanship…read morefailures and lack of professionalism. Please think twice before hiring this contractor - it will not be worth it if there are any uncertainties re: your project and they will say anything to get your job. We hired Jeff to perform some deck work for our three flat. Jeff quoted us $6K to replace certain posts and railings. One year later, additional work was clearly required because railings were loose and Jeff performed an additional $3K worth of work. At no time to Jeff represent himself as anything other than qualified to perform the work. Turns out he never even got a permit for the work. We were cited by the city for non-compliance shortly after his second round of work. He complied with fixing some of the issues identified. When he met with the inspector to review the work and confirm compliance, he essentially yelled, screamed, stormed off and refused to fix any of the additional work. We are now left with a deck that still needs work, $12K later. Jeff continues not to respond to emails/requests for him to finish his work. Jeff misrepresented his ability to do deck work according to city law and code. His unprofessionalism in resolving the issue that he created (he should have just said his people didnt do deck work maybe instead of doing a poor job and then getting upset when someone challenged him to do the work properly) was so disappointing. Do not work with this contractor.
