We had a delightful dinner here last night. We sat at an outside table on the Main Street in Altopascio where we were immediately struck by the beautiful table linens and attention to detail in the table setting. The owner, Luca, personally took our order. We started with a house specialty appetizer, a delightfully light and delicious bowl of soft bread with melted tallegio cheese, pears and honey. Yum! We then shared the sliced T-bone steak for two, which is cooked in their wood burning oven. Delicious! Baked potato slices and porcini mushrooms, both tender with just the right crunch, rounded out the main course. The wine, a Rosso from nearby Montecarlo, was soft and perfect for our meal. I highly recommend this jewel in little Altopascio for atmosphere, service and outstanding food. read more
