Roaming around Pisa had us starving for a good lunch. We stumbled upon Osteria Dei Cavalieri by chance since every restaurant rated decently is closed before 12 pm. All the other ones opened had mediocre ratings and we didn't want to settle for less than best. The place is hidden on a side street so if you walk to fast you might miss it! Luckily, this place opened up at 12:30 pm, prime lunch time! I ordered the ravioli and my bf ordered another pasta dish. The cheese in the ravioli is high quality and extra smelly if that is your thing. It was delicious, but a little too strong for my taste. My bf enjoyed it very much. Our orders came out to be 25€ total for 2 people. The meal came with complimentary bread.

Great place nice ambiance good airconditioning. We stumbled upon it looking for osteria dei cavalieri that was unfortunatly closed for the holiday season. Personel speaks good English. I would recommend the housewine it's tuscan and nice especially for the price. The cold cuts and bruschetta where great also there was this dish of grilled cheese and vegetables, but I forgot the name of the cheese, that was really good. A little hidden away but definitly a tip!

Had a lovely experience at this local restaurant. Great service and delicious food. I started with a clam and mussel soup which was served with toast points, had tagliatelline with razor clams for the second course, and sliced beef with radicchio for the main course. The wine and dessert were also delicious. Though I was one of the first to arrive when the restaurant opened at 7:45, it filled to capacity quickly. I enjoyed seeing what everyone else ordered and wished I'd gotten the local specialty of fried dough with Tuscan ham, cheese, and some of the carpaccio appetizers. Maybe during the next visit...

    The Florentine Steak was delicious.

Between the three of us we shared two pizzas - the margherita, and the proscuitto e funghi. Both were delicious, but I tend to like more toppings on my pizzas so I enjoyed the proscuitto e funghi one more. The crust was really light and chewy, but also thin enough to hold all the sauce and toppings. They were also quite giant! We also tried the limoncello spritz, but that wasn't our favorite. Overall, a great spot!

We ended up trying the two pizza listed as "popular/suggested". These are my thoughts. Rivistato - What a unique pizza. There is a lot going on and it's folded in half. I thought it was good but they put in this veggie that was bitter which was a tad offsetting for my taste. It's unique, I prob wouldn't get it again but it was different! (3.5/5) Margherita Al Contrario - Went for a simple classic and this was delicious. It's different than the pizza in America and overall enjoyed it. (4.5/5) Overall an enjoyable spot for pizza. Note... the pizza are pretty big and we got two pizza for two people. Tons of leftover for us. We ended up spending 35 euro for two pizza. They gave us a small discount for paying in cash!
