My dish was delicious- I also tried the meatballs. Service was quick and fantastic, as well as the food. The ambiance was really nice too!

A Delightful First Visit to Osteria in Raleigh! This was my first time at Osteria while visiting Raleigh, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from the moment I walked in. I had made a reservation in advance--which I highly recommend--and was promptly greeted and seated upon arrival. Max was our server, and he truly elevated the experience. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and gave great suggestions that made choosing dishes easier and more fun. I opted for the vegetarian options and was blown away. The Panzanella Salad was a standout--I even described it to Max as a "party in the mouth" because of how vibrant and flavorful it was. I also tried the Alfredo and another house-made pasta dish, both of which were rich, satisfying, and full of fresh ingredients. Portions were generous, and the freshness of every component really came through. Max also mentioned that their menu changes every two weeks, which makes me want to come back even more just to try what's new. In short, this place is a gem. If you're in Raleigh and craving Italian, Osteria should be at the top of your list. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

It is a small restaurant behind a modest sign in a strip mall. The inside is very well done and the service was great! Very courteous and made sure we were taken care of well. We got the meatballs and calamari for appetizers - definitely get the meatballs because WOW. We also got 4 cocktails and a glass of wine, all of which were tasty. The entrees were genuinely amazing and none of us could decide who got the best meal because they were all that good. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, highly recommend!

We decided to give it a whirl and pop in for the hub's birthday. This place caught us completely off guard. Osteria G's is friggin' delicious! Everything we tasted was top tier. Mac's service at the bar, and his cocktails were tasty. From the bread service to the strawberry trifle -- we were enthralled. I kid you not, the ribeye had a range of flavor that I personally have never experienced in a steak. (That's quite embarrassing as I've had the best of them, or so I thought.) The chowder, meatball Wellington, oysters-- all divine and I can't wait to return. Mac shared that there's a wine dinner coming up, and if we're in town, we're there! Cheers + thanks for a great night!

This is still one of our favorite places! It's so good that we start craving the food days before we come. We always love to see what the specials are- because they NEVER disappoint. Every single person that works at Osteria G is phenomenal.

I came here on a Wednesday evening after my friend recommended it. The restaurant has a beautiful and romantic ambience, is very clean and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The menu is limited if you don't eat pork or seafood but I was able to order the autumn risotto which was full of flavor and very filling. Expect to pay at least $25 for an entrée. Warm bread with a flavored butter was a nice treat the beginning of the meal.

We went to Osteria G for a family celebration. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated - we did have reservations, a must on the weekend - most nights, actually. We were given a few minutes to peruse the cocktail menu before our drink orders were taken. I had the Hibiscus Margarita - it tasted almost delicate - sweet but not too, barely a taste of tequila. It was good - I'd definitely get it again. We opted not to get apps and went straight to our meal. I ordered the Sea Scallops Herb Pappardelle. Six scallops on top of fresh pappardelle with a light, slightly lemony sauce. The scallops were tender and sweet. The pappardelle was a little on the thick side - too thick for how delicate the sauce was. The sauce itself was less flavorful than I expected. It was good but I wouldn't get it again. My husband had the flounder and my SIL had the ravioli - both evening specials. Like me, they said their meals were good but they wouldn't order them again. My MIL was sharing some of our pasta so only ordered the meatball appetizer. Three huge meatballs served with ricotta. They were delicious - now that was something I'd definitely order again. There were a lot of couples on dates but the restaurant was rather loud even with an attempt at sound dampening on the walls. Service was great - attentive yet unobtrusive Our overall experience was good but not great - though I'd like to give Osteria G another chance, maybe on a Wednesday for the 4 course prix fixe tasting menu - with reservations, of course!

Visited Osteria G for the first time and both the food and the service was very good. The atmosphere was also very nice. Surprisingly my friends and I were able to get a table on a Friday night.

We really had a great time at Osteria G It's conveniently located and has great off street parking They have outside seating too but in January it was a little too cold so maybe this spring we will try outside We had great appetizers and the beet and Buratta Was the favorite of the two Both pasta dishes were awesome Very large potions that warmed up quite nicely the next day for lunch! We finished with the rice pudding, a nice selection and not often found in an Italian restaurant We will be back!! Yes

I just don't think I expected what I got. Upon entering, I was received by a small very warm and beautifully lit bar that simply felt special. I looked over the available wine and asked the gentleman at the corner seat if the seat next to him was taken. Little did I know that the gracious gentleman who kindly offered me the seat was none other than the proprietor of Niche, Mr. Ted Powell and that's when my night really started as Ted graciously regaled me with amazing stories between the pause on the songs played by the band. What a vibrant spirit this man has. If you go here, you have to meet Ted. From telling me about how he acquired the place, his daughter, Budstock, Maverick Rose Music Hour, and sharing details of each nights events at Niche, he made my first visit (just me myself and I) a beautiful one. He couldn't stop talking about how wonderful a mixologist Andy is. Don't get it twisted. This man is more than a bartender. He's a diplomatic mixologist who knows how to let patrons know, in the most respectful but boundary maintaining way, how to behave. I saw him in action and it was a beautiful thing to see him basically offer up a dose of kindness with a dash of "you better check yourself before you wreck yourself." If a place could be described by one word, Niche's word would be KINDNESS. I felt like I was taken care of. Thank you Ted and Andy for being so kind on my first visit and turning my night around. I look forward to future visits. This place is most definitely a must visit when in North Carolina!

So while I was around, I decided to look for it and we found it. It looks big on the outside and when you go in the left side, your gaze will lock into this spot to your right and it will suddenly transport you to an Italian villa to park yourself on the couch. I wanted to do this but our eyes caught more, the walls, the other cozy table and chairs, the bar like set up to get your coffee, tea, refreshers, or simply eat there. Along the wall by the cashier, they offer to go treats, dark chocolate bars, beef jerky's, cheese bites, high end chips... the pastry display will soon be packed with other goodies that they get delivered. Right now, they have muffins, lemon bars. I also saw a deli meat since they will be serving charcuterie too. By the back door to the patio, they sell bottled drink of all sorts, some I've never seen. We bought a refresher and a chocolate bar that I thought were delicious. The chocolate is of high quality and will bring you satisfaction. The wine area, located to the right side can be closed off for private events or other events. They will offer wine tasting, bottle that you can purchase whether cold or room temp. Once the area is fully finished and stocked, this will be a beautiful spot. The bathrooms are gorgeous and spacious. You will need to check it out for yourself. Lastly, the owners are so nice. I've never met them before but she is the warmest being. She gave us a tour, explained to us how they operate and that soon she will be posting events located above the building where you can enter at the door with an awning 2a. Also, soon, if you are seating outside in the back, you can tap at the small window to order a drink. How convenient is that? Right now, please be patient as they still work out all the kinks to perfect their spot. It is a nice place to go while we wait for our children doing sports near by.

The salmon was dry, the chicken was on the bone with very little meat, and the mashed potatoes were surprisingly disappointing. I even took them home hoping I could improve them myself. I will likely return to the Tea Room because I enjoy supporting local businesses and genuinely like their drinks and small bites, but I would not come back for dinner.
