Cute place! Staff is very friendly and attentive. Get the tuna tartare - the olives & oranges are incredible with it. Also the grilled tuna (I really love tuna lol) was SO DELICIOUS!

A true Venetian meal We both got the complete course 36€ for three courses Beef and tuna tartare were both good but the beef was better The squid ink and squid pasta was so flavorful, as was the clams with spaghetti (and tons of clams!) The veal liver was good but my husband didn't like the starch cake it came with The duck was cooked beautifully but the snow peas were soggy; threw us off Overall great meal and kind hosts

    Cicchetti

Wow, outstanding meal. Started with a sampling of cicchetti, 2 meatballs (fish and meat), cod, peppers and anchovies. Then had the seafood salad (excellent), spaghetti and clams (really good) and cod with polenta. Probably the best meal we had in the past 2 weeks in Italy. Great atmosphere (small locale), wonderful staff. Only negative comment is, they aren't generous when it comes to ordering a glass of wine/ Prosecco, I've never seen so little poured in a glass.

One of my most memorable meals from my trip to Europe! I found this spot after seeing a ton of great reviews on Google. The restaurant's down a little alleyway right off of a popular street We did the 25 euro deal that comes with a first plate and main for each person. I ordered the beef tartare and bigoli pasta (pasta traditional to Venice). I also ordered a Sparkling wine that was recommended by the barista/man at front Pros: - Unique dishes (not touristy!) - yes you won't necessarily find your traditional spaghetti or lasagna but I think that's a great thing. The dishes feel very authentic and different than what I'd normally see on an Italian menu in Venice. - Yummy hearty flavors - specifically I really liked my pasta! while it was quite different from what I'm used to I surprisingly enjoyed the anchovy flavor - Friendly staff - *tip* ask for wine recommendations

The entrance--locals hang out here and much cicchetti

Tucked down an alley close to the train station, this cozy spot was a terrific choice. We had the fixed price dinner with one app and one main, and it was plenty. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared--tuna tartare, a vinegar-y bean soup, grilled tuna with vegetables, and beef in rosemary oil. We splurged on dessert--panna cotta and pear pie. With 2 glasses of wine, it was 83 Euros. For a table, you'll need reservations if you don't show up early, but you can always hang out in the bar and eat cicchetti, which looked very tempting. The locals seem to love it, too.

Food was unbelievable. Fresh, & delicious. Service was impeccable. One of the best restaurants I've dined at.

Appetizer: squid, tuna, and sardines. Wow.

The waiter is very friendly and invite us to have lunch, and menu price look reasonable so let's go for it. We ordered clam and mussels. So amazing and yummy, especially the soup! I really want to finish all of it. The scallop spaghetti is also very yummy. I love this place. Good vibe, friendly service, and most important is the food quality. 5 stars for sure. For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!

Servers were welcoming and answered questions my friend and I had about the menu. The steak platter was AMAZING. 10/10. Truly such a memorable meal. I loved the chips and tzatziki-like sauce that were served alongside the meat. The complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal topped off our incredible experience. Would travel all the way back just for this gem of a spot. Thank you!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Definitely get the Lombatello steak if you are feeling carnivorous…read more Throngs of lively people sipping wine and snacking on cichetti late into the evening along the canal. The cichetti selection looked very good (variety thinned out throughout the night), but our party of 3 was starving and we opted to sit inside for a late ~8:30pm dinner. We got one order of grilled lamb and the Lombatello steak for 2. The lamb was also good, no gamey taste. The Lombatello steak was simply fantastic, choose this cut specifically!! A heaping pile of medium-rare meat (cannot buy single portions) that was very tender and flavorful. It's cushioned with steak fries and grilled veggies on the side. Paired with two glasses of house wine, this meal was fantastic. Ended up with a to go box of steak and fries. Servers are very busy, bustling around clearing tables, taking orders, etc, but they are vigilant if you need anything. We saw one table of ~10 order a steak platter, and it was a sight to behold - a massive wooden cutting board packed with steak, transported by two waiters.
